Good place to buy gently used clothing, toys, and books. Very reasonable prices as well. They also buy all items gently used, better than getting nothing. They also have a rewards program as well that lets you build points towards $ off purchase. Highly recommended if you need to save some $$
Selling clothes is touch and go. They want specific items so they didnβt take much of the clothes I had to offer which was disappointing but the staff was friendly

I have a hard time buying a used name brand shirt for the same price as what I have bought a new shirt of the same brand. On the plus side, they have an enormous selection of clothes from newborn on up.

Used clothes are like brand new! I love shopping here and wil did anytime i need something for my baby or a friends baby! There are a few things that I believe are priced too high for being used but you just got to pick & choose. Great store!

Way way over priced kids consignment. The quality of clothes is pretty good, but shoes are not ever in good condition for price. The high chairs, toys, carriers are outrageously priced and youre better off shopping for them online. Sometimes you can snag a good deal with sales and punch cards here. Just not worth it most of the time though...
I found the PERFECT (handmade) large & medium flower hairclips (and elastic headbands) to match toddler size kimono. Gorgeous! I bought six, because they were all so beautiful! I couldnt decide on just one.

Wonderful place to trade or sell clothes that the kids have grown out of while replacing them with stylish gently used or new clothes that will fit, however it is a very busy place from what I seen so it can be rather rowdy aside from the waiting in a line that reaches almost completely around the store even with 4 registers open.
Love clearance events. Get a whole wardrobe for less than $10. Have found new with tag items many times, almost always brand name items over $30 new for less than $10.

Good prices and great selections. I always look for new tags on clothing and never have any problem finding just what Im looking for. The employees are very helpful. Always leave satisfied with what I purchased. When I have taken items in for sale I always get a fair and reasonable price. Would recommend this store and Goshen to anyone with children or grandchildren.

This is an excellent place to buy childrens barely used and even brand new clothes. Sign up for their enewsletters on their website for announcements of extra savings events! Trade in outgrown clothes, shoes and toys for new ones or cash. Be sure to bring these in for review before 7 p.m. so they can be processed. I cannot recommend this store enough. Great place for parents and grandparents on a budget. Who isnt on a budget these days?
I take my kids clothes here because I donβt plan on having anymore and donβt want the stuff sitting around collecting dust when someone else could use it. What irritates me most is when I put everything neatly in a tote, outfits that clearly go together because I put them together they way they were bought and when I get home I realize they took the pants to an outfit or a shirt and left the other half. Keep the outfit together whatβs the point in separating an outfit?? Makes me so angry. I wonβt be selling my kids stuff here anymore Iβll be giving it to someone who needs it! If I couldβve gave no stars I wouldβve. Worst places ever. If youβre selling stuff for money you wonβt get much either I suggest selling on Facebook market place or something other then here!
This place is a JOKE!!! Dont waste your time! I came here to sell all my daughters old stuff. And they took 8items and gave me 3$ for it. They said everything was OUT of style. Like the heck? Its kids clothes? Like kids care! But thats not all! They than flip and sell the same items for 4+$ this place is exactly like good will! They just care about money! Not helping people!
Shopping wise I dont know but when you take stuff in to sell they cheat you I took in all brand new girls outfits and a brand new toy that the toy alone was a 10.00 toy and clothes were all at least 5.00 or more a piece and they gave me 12.35. I didnt want to deal with taking it home again so I took it but it is wrong on what they give
My friend bought his son a couple outfits. They were to small. The baby never wore them or anything, tag still on them, he took them back and because he didnt have a receipt he had to sell them back. They offered him 5.90 for 30.00 worth of clothes from their store. Will never shop there again.
The staff is great! They are so helpful and quick to evaluate my things and give me a fair payment for the stuff they take. This store has to be one of the cleanest and most organized of an OUAC I have ever been in! There selection is great too!
Why would you ever pay full price for childrens clothing and other items when you can shop here and find stylish, quality merchandise at bargain prices?? The staff is so friendly and willing to assist; plus the store is arranged attractivelyand so that it is easy to find what you are looking for. They are selective about the quality, style, and condition of the items that they buy so what you find in the store is of outstanding quality. In addition, you can feel safe because they keep up with all recalls of products and keep those items off the shelves. Also want to mention- it is the best place to get a Halloween costume, a swimsuit, or a childs wintercoat and footwear without spending an arm and a leg for something theyll grow out of! Its also a great place to find a toy or a childrens book. I shop here as often as I can for my grandson!
Theres so much to find in here, I remember I was looking for a missing part to my babys swing. Although I didnt find it, a helpful staff tried helping me.
Pretty garbage place to take clothes to. I didnt even want anything for my clothes, and they didnt want any of them saying they didnt need that one specific size (I had newborn all the way to 2t) didnt even look at the items. Atleast goodwill appreciates the donation. Also staff is unmotivated as 3 or 4 workers where arguing about vacuuming the floor. While I was looking for bigger clothes (while they didnt go through my donation) for my child 2 or 3 outfits had huge stains on them and the selection was pretty bad and in the past they have been a lot better. In the past 4 years I probably spent about $2000 in the store. Not anymore, done with once upon a child after being treated disrespectfully by staff. I will just take my business to Carters and OshKosh and other stores of the sort. Could just say you dont want the clothes without being disrespectful about it.
In the past 3 years I have attempt to bring stuff in twice. First time they didnt even bother going through all three totes of clothing I had. Complained and the owner reached out and attempted to fix the issue. I found a better place to donate to. The most recent time, I decided to give them one last shot. I had all brand new clothes, $30-$40 worth with tags still on and they offered $3. I also had a pack n play and cradle that the refused. Theyre both newer but they refused them due to one piece being put together backward that you literally had to pop out and turn around to fix it. So heres my gripe. Theyre over priced rip offs that are basically making pure profit. They forget theyre selling USED items and their prices are ridiculously high. Two, they dont know the value or dont care that theyre ripping you off when you sell them your items. This owner has been making bank off her high markups on USED items. Do yourself a favor and do your research before you sell. Better yet, dont sell anything to them. There are many shelters in the area in desperate need of the same items they sell because some families cant even afford the USED items they sell. Sorry once upon a child. You lost a customer. After complaining twice on your Facebook and having both post deleted then blocked...I will not stop sharing my horrible experiences within your store because youre taking advantage of people. That is NOT customer service!! Donate to shelters!

I tried to come back to buy something for someone and arrived at 7:53 when they were supposed to close at 8:00. I had one thing i needed for a babies birthday party tomorrow and the doors are locked. The ladies behind the counter area all saw me and one kinda laughed and turned her head. They pretended not to see me. I held up a single finger signaling that i needed just one thing please. I know i should have gotten it when i was their earlier but i didnt have the money then. What ever happened to trying to do good thing for people . It says youre open until 8 not 8ish. Ya might want to change your sign.

Sometimes the prices are a little high for used and stained clothes so look over what youre buying carefully and go during sales. They also dont take most clothes I sell. Sometimes the staff have attitudes but today the lady taking everyones sales items was over the top RUDE. She should be ashamed to work in customer service. When I return to pick up my items, I will be getting her name for an email to corporate.Truthfully, the location in Goshen is better in all ways, and I try to go there instead if I can.

Not worth your time or your money. Brought a bag of freshly laundered clothes and less than 5 minutes later my items were ready for a whopping 1.80. And with various notes one of which was to bring my items in a tote. If thats what they want they should have that information posted somewhere. I had several bags inside of one large bag where i had sorted the clothing by style for them to make things easier for the associate. Honestly their selection is not at all impressive so i will be taking my business elsewhere.
I will not be returning to the Once Upon a Child in Mishawaka. Although (most of) the staff was kind, the woman who was sorting & deciding on which items to keep or pass on was absolutely unpleasant to customers as well as to the employees. Her manner of talking to myself as well as others that I saw was uncalled for & unprofessional.

The quality of service has dropped significantly, with very poor customer service attitudes coming from multiple employees. The impression given off is that people bringing in items to sell are a complete waste of time...yet their entire business model is built around marking up items they buy for resale.Given the regularity of this attitude and what appears to be relatively high turnover, it seems like this may be a problem with management.Im only retaining a second star due to the relatively fair prices theyre still paying for items they will take. With that said, were not likely to bring anything back to this location any time soon, given the location in Goshen is much more friendly.

No. Never returning. My family was having some financial troubles so I decided to take the baby stuff out of the closets and sell them to once upon a child. So they took the clothes and I went on my merry way. When I come back, all the clothes were sold and the the lady offered me 14 DOLLAR FOR THOSE CLOTHES!!! I have never been cheapskated like that. The worst service ever. Just stick to selling stuff on Ebay.

I went to the Goshen store yesterday and I had never been into a Once Upon A Child store before. I can now say that Im addicted! After leaving the Goshen store happy with my findings yesterday, I just had to make the drive out to Mishawaka to see what I could find at this store! Holy cow! I cant believe all of the Gymboree clothes I found for both of my kids. I didnt really need more after I had just gotten so many good deals in Goshen, but I couldnt resist the cuteness and the prices!I have never in my life been so excited about cleaning out closets! What fun I am going to have trading in my kids clothes now that I have found this place!!

I was dumb & sold clothes here-very NICE, name brand clothes & shoes. They offered $44 for 31 items. Less then $1.40 per item! I was distracted by my screaming toddler and accepted to get out of there quickly, but realized I could have sold my items at a garage sale for more then that. Especially Matilda Jane, Gap, Hannah Andersson, mini Boden, Jcrew Kids, LLbean. I am so disappointed and wonβt go back here. I would feel better about donating my nice items then ever going here again. Donβt waste your time!!
