Let me start this off by saying that I think car purchasing is equivalent to a miserable root canal. In fact I think Id rather have a root canal, than buy a car. This dealership is by far the most ethical, direct, no nonsense dealership. Marty was upfront and friendly about everything and offered us many options based on our needs via email and phone. After narrowing it down to 2 cars, we made an appointment for a test drive and purchased the car in about 2 hours time. There was no pressure about warranties nor confusing financing terms for the loan. Everything was explained in a simple to understand manner. All of the guys here have tons of experience and were down to earth. Shout out to Tony and Alex, who were equally wonderful! Marty made everything easy and I highly recommend him. Bought an MDX from here under Norm Reeves brand and hated the experience. I understand that we all need to eat, but the dishonesty and runarounds from the sale managers were breathtaking. Never again another Acura.Here a tip: Call the part dept and ask for the price of a specific part and then talk to the sale manager just how much to add that part to the sale.I dont do many online reviews, and hope you prosper, but it was a sad experience.

We have a long standing relationship with Honda/Acura, and that relationship is about to change as a result of this dealer. Poor service all around, and overpriced. Better deals can be found elsewhere for purchase and lease. For auto service, staff is encouraged to upsale on services that you don’t need and fall outside of the refit maintenance. I received a notice from Acura that my 2012 MDX could have a problem with excessive oil consumption. I immediately took the car to Mission Viejo Acura were I was informed there was no problem after they inspected the car. I took my car in several additional time for service and told them that oil was always reading low. Again I was told there was not problem. Finally, the last time I took the car in for service I mentioned the problem again. I was than told that I had to drive the car for a thousand miles 3 times and it would have to be checked each time before a determination could be made. The second time I took the car in after being driven for a 1000 miles the oil was so low they finally agreed that there was a problem. I would be put on a long list of people ahead of me and it would take many months before they could handle the problem. My complaint is the problem was never identified the first time. It was only after bringing up the problem many times was it finally identified. After it was identified, I was told it would be many months before they could fix it. When I called the service manager to complain about my experience, he told me that there was nothing he could do about my problem and I would have to wait many months before they could fix the problem.

I cant even believe that this place got any good reviews. I decided to buy the new 2014 Acura just by reading about it. It should have been the easiest sale - we were putting a large deposit down and have excellent credit. I went one night to test drive it and the sales rep was so bad I almost decided against it. My husband decided we should try another rep there instead of another dealer/manufacturer and it was better. We decided to put down a large downpayment after they guaranteed they could get me the model/color I wanted the next morning from a different dealer. The next day we heard nothing from them. Finally called in the afternoon and couldnt get anyone to help. Finally got hold of the sales rep who called us back a 1/2 hour later saying they left a couple of messages earlier today at different dealers and no one has called them back. I couldnt believe that was it for their attempts. I got hold of Acura of Riverside who had been emailing and calling me since I sent a request in a couple of days earlier. They had the car and color, at a better price then Norm Reeves gave me and their financing rate was better. It was worth the drive. Best part - Norm Reeves went and deposited our check two days later - after they told us they tore it up. Manager at dealer refused to talk to me over the phone or reply to my email. My husband finally got someone else there to help and get us a check back.

We had matching offers with another Acura dealership. However, what convinced us to come to Norm Reeves Acura of Mission Viejo was Dave Bennette. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and courteous over the phone. When we met him in person, he took excellent care of us. He realized we knew exactly what we wanted and did not try the tricks other salespeople try, like the classic bait-and-switch.The only downside to the entire experience was the long wait to clear Financing. All told, we were at the dealership for 4 hours. But since this is pretty standard across all dealerships, I did not deduct any stars from this review, as everything else about the experience (especially Dave) was better than I expected.Would buy a car from here again.

STAY AWAY! I took my car for service for a part that was still under warranty, first, they wanted to charge me $170 just to check the car, just because we are almost at the end of the warranty, but it is not expired yet. This sounds ridiculous to me. After going back and forth for almost a month, they told me that they will contact the manager to see if they can replace the part at no cost for me. I decided to take the car to another Acura dealer. And guess what? They replaced the part that was under warranty right away, no questions. Im really disappointed with Acura Mission Viejo. Dont take your car there!

We were told on two seperate ocassions that we had a nail in our tire and that the tires had to be replaced asap. No repair could be made on both occasions. At 15000 our back tires were “needing to be replaced”. Very disappointing that tires only last 15k. They replaced two tires for almost 700 dollars with the same factory recommended tires to find out that they don’t even have a warranty. At 20k we were told we had another nail in our tires. They recommended replacing both front tires. I ask if they had any better tires than the factory. They finally told me they have two Michelin tires for 718 including an alignment. These tires do have a 60 k warranty. Reading other reviews now I don’t even believe I ever had a nail in any of the tires but is a quick way to hike up your service fee. Now I wish I would have gotten a second opinion. I have lost all faith in this dealership for service. Unfortunately I purchased my service ahead of time when buying the car.
