I had bought a dress a few years back when I got engaged and we ended up postponing. When it was time my taste changed about the dress I had bought and I contacted OC bridal gowns. She was great to deal with I made an appointment a couple of days Later and she had asked me to send her pictures of what types of dresses I liked. When I arrived she had six dresses in my size (no alterations needed) and exactly what I was looking for! I Highly recommend that new bride’s visit the store!

I wanted to wait until I had thought about the whole experience and had my wedding dress back from the tailors that Bridal Gowns Orange County sent me to before writing this review. At the time, this was the only bridal gown business I could find that was open (in May) and I had my wedding date in August so admittedly, I felt like I had better choose something here or I might not have a wedding dress at all! While Im very thankful that they were open at all (and is why they are getting 3 stars), it was not a great experience. The shop is a somewhat cluttered room upstairs in a decent looking strip mall. While Judy (one of the owners) seemed very good at picking out dresses for me, I was not allowed to look through anything at all myself, despite being masked and hand sanitizing at the door. I was also not allowed to have anyone with me, which I understand to a degree as I think they were fairly afraid of getting coronavirus but it did make it a much less enjoyable experience. I could also tell Judy was trying hard to be nice but was a bit gruff. I picked a dress that was evidently quite a bit too big for me (I couldnt see sizes or prices and Judy picked and helped me into everything), and they said they could not order it in another size. I bought the dress because they said the tailor they were going to send me to was amazing and could do anything. However, the tailor (Brazilia Express tailor) took two months and 7 trips (I live in Pasadena - a 4 hour round trip with traffic) to Mission Viejo and did not do a good job. Im writing a review for them next with photos if you want to check it out. My dress was always almost ready and in the end had bunching in odd places that were not flattering. They gave me a good deal on the dress for $1200 (its the W•too Pippin) and I honestly dont know if it was a good deal or not! It was much oversized and I think had been in stock for a while (a few pulls on sequins and the bottom was a bit dingy). I bought a veil there for $300 as well. I would say overall the options were pretty limited. Lastly, they REALLY hard sell that you need to give them a 5 star-review, both in person and by texting you. Ill attach a picture of the text.

Such a great experience! Judy and John went out of their way to make sure we felt welcomed and at home. They have so many different styles of dresses to chose from. The designs on the dresses are absolutely beautiful! Judy was so patient helping my daughter! She gathered my daughters thoughts on each dress and was able to find her the perfect one!

I had an amazing experience finding my perfect dress at Bridal Gowns Orange County. I made an appointment over the phone with Judy. She had me text her details about the types of dress that I was interested in and photos as well.They are very good about following COVID protocols and had me use hand sanitizer and masks the entire time. I also only brought one guest to help me with my dress selection.Judy was able to find the perfect dress after I tried on about 5 dresses (a feat in itself as they have such a large selection of dresses available). She assured me that I could get other details added to my dress by their seamstress as well. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy they made it to customize the dress I chose.Judy and her husband are so kind and sweet, and made the whole experience for me so enjoyable.I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for a wedding gown.

Judy is amazing, so helpful, and just the right kind of person to put me at ease about finding the perfect dress! A friend of mine and my sister-in-law both got their dresses from Judy, and I loved them and thought they were beautiful and unique. Since Judy has all sorts of styles, I felt like her options were more unique than other bigger stores!I found my dress pretty quickly, it has lace sleeves which is exactly what I wanted, and I couldnt be more excited for my wedding! WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!! Judy went above and beyond before during and after the appointment. There was a particular dress that I wanted to try on and she was able to locate and have the dress shipped to the shop. She was very helpful and communicated with me about every detail (ordering, shipping, tailoring etc). They had a great selection of dresses from bridal to flower girls. I said Yes to the Dress on the spot and within minutes of leaving the shop, I received a call from Judy that the dress would be in late Dec early Jan. Thank you Judy for everything!

I had THE BEST experience at Bridal Gowns Orange County. Judy and John are the most adorable married couple who own the place, so you can feel good about supporting a local business. They took care in every detail, they had a personalized sign to welcome me in and took the pressure off from the very instant we arrived. They only schedule one appointment at a time so all their attention is focuses on just you. John and Judy sat me down and took some time to get to know me and what I was interested in from a dress. Considering that and my budget, they pulled dresses that fit within both. Browsing through racks on your own can become overwhelming quickly, so I very much appreciated this approach. Judy personally helped me into and out of every gown and really took the time to learn what I liked and didn’t like about each one. With that information she ended up pulling a style of dress that I didn’t even know existed and that ended up being MY DRESS! It should also be noted that they specialize in short notice weddings and even mentioned they have helped people getting married the next day. COULD NOT be happier. There is nothing I could say to knock this place. HIGHLY recommend.

This was the very first store I went to when I started by bridal gown search. I left the store with a few dresses in mind that I really really liked. I kept getting advice from people saying to try on more dresses because one you make the purchase theres no going back. The bridal gowns are absolutely stunning and they have lots of unique styles! The owner, Judy and her husband John, were so sweet, helpful, and patient. I went in 3 times and they never pressured me and encouraged me to only buy the dress if it was “the one.” John has a special eye too! I found the dress of my dreams at this little hidden gem! I honestly was going to simply get ideas and had my heart set on my mom making my dress, being that shes an incredible seamstress, I thought itd be the most special option, for obvious reasons. looking through the collection, I soon realized this was no ordinary dress shop. I can confidently say there is something for every Bride in this cute little place. I cant even believe they can fit that many dresses in there! At any rate, I found it. I said Yes! To the Dress! and cant wait to meet the man of my dreams at the end of that isle in two weeks! I go in for my final fitting tomorrow, which was included in the super reasonable price! And Judy took care of everything! She made me feel so special! I couldnt be happier!

They had a cool art show last week there, other than that I have seen better boutiques in my time but they have some pretty good gear and at reasonable prices. They have a long history so you cant hate on it and they keep a pretty good stock. They have a shop up in Seattle that did a lot of dope stuff so I have respect for all the Bridal Gowns Orange County locations.

I wish I could give a million stars to this place. I ordered a dress online and it came 3 weeks before my wedding.. I hated it. My best friend and I raced out of the house before looking at locations of where to find a dress. She found this place while 2 mins away from it, called and Judy and her husband were there in 5 mins to open the store up for us. The first dress I tried on was the dress I took home with me. Not only am I in love with my dress but I’m also in love with my experience and 2 new people that I hope to always keep in contact with. I was in and out of there within an hour. They sent me to a seamstress that works with them and she also left her home and opened up her store to do everything she could for me. I had an experience where I left with the dress of my dreams and an experience that left me in tears.
