Just got my Pentax DSLR sensor cleaned here. Very happy with the result. I would come back here again for more sensor cleaning in the future.

I asked them to clean image sensor because I saw some dark spots on photos. It cost 50$. I made a few pictures after cleaning and noticed that nothing changed and I still see dark spots. I called them and they said they will re-do it for free. I brought my camera and they cleaned it again and said that everything was tested and works fine. I made a few pictures and sensor was cleaned very bad, they removed a few spots but some spots left. I just dont have desire to call them again because I am not sure if they can clean it properly. I dont have too much experience in photography but I know that you can test simply by make photo of sky. I am very disappointed that they didnt know how to test camera properly and spent my time and money.

I brought my digital camera here for a sensor cleaning because with my usual place I go to, you can only do it by mail. The job they did was absolutely the best sensor cleaning Ive ever seen. This is the place I will always go to from now on. And the customer service here is great. Those who have complained about this place are just people who take to the internet to cry. OC camera has been around a long time because their prices are fair and the owner and employees are great!

Went to OC Camera exchange and the people were friendly and couteous. I went there to exchange my Rollieflex for a Leica and lens but we could not find a middle ground to do an exchange. I would still shop there no doubt. Thanks you OC Camera for your consideration.

One of if not the absolute worst experiences I’ve had entering a camera store in Orange County. Prior to my visit I called asking if they had any medium format cameras in stock to which they replied yes, with a monotone and unfriendly voice. First, as I entered the relatively empty store I was not greeted, and looked upon as unimportant. Upon arriving, I asked to see said medium format cameras to which they simply replied we don’t have any left. When I got the news they didn’t have the cameras I specifically asked for over the phone, I asked to look at different models which was also an unpleasant experience due to the short and cold manner in which the employees refer to their customers. Not only was I given misinformation but I was treated as a child due to my appearance. This was my first visit and I will never be returning.

Bought my first high end camera here and I highly recommend this shop. The staff all give great service and information. You don’t feel rushed and they answer any questions you may have. Ronnie did a great job fixing my lens which I had dropped. Fixed it fast and at a very low cost. I highly recommend OC Camera.

Small store and was only looking for a gray card but didnt have the size I needed. Seems like they had a good amount of gear, but I didnt spend much time in there. Nice theres at least one camera store in South county so I wouldnt have to go to Sammys if I was in a pinch.

Horrible horrible experience with the company and owner. Son paid $1500 for camera he never received. This companys ultimate response was so sad too bad. Yes i am upset while writing this but if i can save even one other person from being RIPPED OFF by these guys then i will feel alot better. Shame on this company. BUYERS BEWARE...

Great customer service

Set my friend in with two cameras that I inherited one is called Aladdin which they kept and trued to find information on it and could not. The other one is a rolleiflex which they told her was broken it has a handle that turns that they said were not turn. She called me and said they offered her $50 for the broken camera and for a pack of lenses I said hell no bring at home I just got around to looking at it pulled this one part of the trigger out and of course it turned the handle and it works perfectly. The camera sells for anywhere around $300 to over $1,000. In my opinion I think they were trying to take advantage of her who wanted money that day and lied and said it didnt work if theyve been in business or 20 years they would know how to work this camera I would never recommend them to anyone.

Great shop!! The owner, staff, and even the other customers were beyond friendly. I stopped by to check out a lens, and thanks to their knowledge and friendliness I ended up going a different direction. I ended up trading my Canon equipment in and moving over to Sony, but never once felt pressured to do so. You can tell by the way the regular customers and staff interact that they have good relationships with some long time clients. I felt like I was more in a friendly neighborhood bar setting than a camera shop. Thanks for all the help Roozbeh, Ill be back for sure.

Overpriced items, low value on trade ins. Really rude, unfriendly owner who acts like his stock is too good for common folk. Like a bad GameStop for cameras. Do yourself a favor and buy used on Ebay. Theres definitely fake 5 star reviews from his friends on here.

Great shop, I come here all the time. Frequently I do buy, but sometimes just look around and have a chat. These guys are definetly the no BS type which is why some people may claim they are rude. They know their stuff, and I have literally been told to buy things elsewhere because it is a better deal, or suited my needs more. These are the kind of people we need more of!

We are lucky to have such a great camera store in our area. Good selection of papers, replacement inks, cameras and supplies. Always enjoy meeting with the owner and sales staff.

It is wonderful to have a camera store in south OC. Although some reviews have characterized the staff as rude, I believe that is because the staff is not assertive. But once engaged, I have found the staff always most helpful, willing to discuss every issue, and recommend products with the best price/value ratio. You pay a bit more than online (unless you purchase from their large selection of used equipment), but you get to handle the product and talk with knowledgeable, experienced staff people.

Walked into O.C. Camera anticipating an up-charge for a scratched lens, however instead Rhonda behind the counter was able to fix my scratched lens for no charge! She even had a spare lens cap for my point and shoot! Couldnt be happier with having made the drive to have my camera checked out. Now the Ghost in my pictures is gone! Thank you Rhonda.

Update: went today the 29th. Beautiful store, well organized, but the effort put into that reflects in the higher than average pricing. All the products I got my hands on seemed clean and flaw free even older equipment. The staff seemed professional enough but not quite as personable as I like. Previous: Showed up Monday at 123pm and is closed. Its the 26th but there is no info saying theyd be closed today. When I come in when theyre open, that will determine if I bring the rating to 5 stars or 1 star.

I bought a used Leica Noctilux from OCC and had a good experience. Communication was by phone and email and they were flexible for delivery.

Buyer beware...if you seek a refund from them make sure you carefully review the final amount. I tried to explain simple math to them but for some reason they still felt compelled to deduct the shipping charges twice. I understand once but twice is not right. I understand everything else to do with the return but deducting the shipping charges twice is just deception. Just want to make sure people carefully review any refunded amounts in the future.Below is an exchange with the infamous Roozbeh...1+1=5 for him.Roozbeh: This gentleman purchased a lens from us on E-Bay and chose the option to have it overnighted. He returned the lens becasue he didnt like it. On all of our E-Bay listings it is noted that we charge a restocking fee, so that buyers do not buy items from us just to test out and ship back at our expense, which is a common issue on E-Bay. Upon receiving the lens back we deducted 15% as a restocking fee and did not refund the overnight shipping fees due to the reason for the return. Due to this, this gentleman believes that we deducted his shipping fees twice, which is completely false. We did not deduct shipping charges twice, we charge a 15% restocking fee and did not refund his shipping fees.JW: I will put the info here for others to see what they might come across if they also need a refund.Initial Transaction Lens cost- $381Shipping cost-$68Total cost = $449Refund TransactionTotal cost of original transaction = $449Subtracted shipping for $68Lens cost- $38115% restocking fee- $57Subtotal- $324--- Should have been refundThey subtracted ANOTHER Shipping cost-$68Total refund given--$ 256. As you can see, there was a total of $193 in deductions applied on the refund, the 15% restocking fee $57 (which I fully understand) however the remaining $136 is twice the amount of my original shipping charges of $68. They can (not sure how) say they did not double dip on the shipping deductions but the above shows the facts. I am sure this is a good store overall, I am just making people aware of what could happen if you dont review all refunds given.

The camera store has fair prices and their products are for the most part completely sound mechanically. If you have something from there you will be paying a premium versus used film cameras on Ebay/CL however I can guarantee you wont need to break the bank for a CLA. That being said, the store is atrocious. The manager and a few of the employees are rude and confrontational. If you attempt to talk with them they will talk to you in a defeatist manner. The other employees are nice and glad to help and always smiling but its hard to get over just how rude and violent the other managers are. I have never reviewed a sevice before, but this experience was so negative, that I felt compelled to let others know about it. right before the holidays I purchased a used camera from OC Camera. I was unfamiliar with this camera, but Cailean and the owner both assured me it was a wonderful camera and would more than meet my needs. One of my concerns was that this camera did not come with a built-in flash, so they sold me a new flash as well. Because I have never purchased a used camera before, I inquired about returning everything it if it did not work out. Cailean In fact, said i could make a full return i if I was unhappy within seven days following Christmas. After getting home I tried out the camera and found things i did not care for about it. So I promptly returned it with in the seven days post Christmas. Much to my dismay, it was a complete hassle, actually a disaster. After making me wait twenty minutes or more while they inspected everything, the owner then insulted me by saying that my reasons for returning the camera were not very good! It should not matter my what my reasons were, only that I did not like it! They then agreed to return it. However, not fully! No mention was ever made to me about 30% re-stocking fees, or the fact that the new flash would now be considered used and would be returned accordingly for 50% less the purchase price. When trying to take the high road and reason with them that I was never told this by Cailean, the owner got an attitude and stomped out of the room, throwing his hands in the air and making rude comments. Looking to Cailean for support as he was the one who made the claims and sold me the camera and flash, I found none at all. After going through this scenario of never having been informed they agreed to return the camera, but still charge me the 50% of the price of the flash. This came to a whopping $75. I gave up! I felt so intimidated and truthfully was worn out, you never treat customers this way, and especially two guys against a woman. I would have never have agreed to this purchase under those conditions. I just recently started coming to OC camera because of its proximity to the college, I however will now never be able to step foot in this store again, and its a shame! Not only have they lost my business, but I will never be able to recommend this store, and in fact will steer others clear of it, because it is impossible to shop somewhere where you cannot trust the people who work there, and know they will go back on their word! It is all very disappointing!
