We used Exact Performance years ago when they first started. When our minivan needed a 100k mile service my brother told me Ben could get it done cheaper than any dealer, he was right by a few hundred dollars. I needed wheels why they worker on the minivan and I was worried they wouldnt have loaners as an independent shop. Ben has a fleet of $15/day rentals. As someone who owned a couple Lexus cars from the 90s, and like 90s cars in general, it was fun to drive around in an original RX300 for a couple days. The car was very clean and ran like a champ. I would highly recommend Exact Performance for maintenance on any Lexus, Toyota, Acura, Honda, Infiniti as well as any other brand.

They were cool and helpful and didnt try and upsell me stuff that was unnecessary. They saved me on addressing something completely unrelated to what I brought my car in for. I trust them to not screw me over when, truth be told, I am far from a car savy person and they probably could have made some more money off of me if they wanted to 🤣

I own both an Acura and a Lexus and take both of them to Exact Performance. I feel completely confident that the work will always be done right and that they will always be honest. Their communication is awesome… They always keep me updated on the status of my vehicle and have never failed to have the work done on time. I recommend them highly.

Best Place to take Lexus for routine work & repairs. Honest and fair prices. Have been going to them for almost 20yrs no frills service like panni while you wait & it is reflected in fair price.

I have had allot of luck with these guys. I have had tune ups, valve adjustment, emergency battery replacement and several leak issues. Great price and they recently cared enough to setup a after work appointment to ensure all leaks had stopped. I really appreciate the free follow up check. Thanks

Ben Bennett owns Exact Performance. Ben was the original service manager at Superior Lexus in KC in 1989. Ive used this garage shop (Exact Auto) since 1995. In my opinion, theres no better local option. The pricing is competitive and these guys wont sell you something thats not absolutely necessary to maintain a roadworthy vehicle.

They quoted me apples to apples with ONeill and took the time to make sure it was the correct diagnosis on my 07 Civic. I plan on taking my vehicle here in the future for my recommended maintenance. Definitely honest and fair at this shop. Theyve earned a customer for life.

When I bought my Lexus a couple years ago, I decided to try this place based on their good ratings. I really tried to like this shop. However, my first red flag was the amount of upselling -- you can’t get your tires rotated or your oil changed without saying no to half a dozen upsells. After a while, you get tired of declining $150 batteries and so on.The final straw was I think on my third or fourth visit when I took the car in for a tire pressure light. When I got the car back, the light was still on. So I took it back in and was told they’d charge me a second time to fix it. I asked why I would have to pay twice for something that wasn’t fixed the first time and was told that the price was the price. However, then they changed their minds and told me they would still charge me, just at a lower price. That’s when I got the feeling that they were playing games with me, so I told them I’d just live with the light and I walked out.I returned to Maurer in Olathe (where I’ve taken my other car for years), who fixed the light in one try. They confirmed that the car had no other pressing issues, despite what Exact had suggested during their upsells. The lone thing they agreed with Exact about was the struts, which I had Maurer replace, because I knew that if they didn’t get it right the first time, they’d make it right, which was not my experience at Exact.Exact seems very professional, but there’s too much upselling and, at least with me, they seemed unwilling to own up to mistakes. I would never get upset with a mechanic for not getting something right the first time. It happens. But I will be disappointed if they try to charge me twice for something they didnt fix the first time, especially something as simple as a tire pressure light. Never should have taken the chance on them.

I’ve got to say I am not impressed with Exact Performance. I came here because I changed job locations and needed a shop closer to home, plus I was worried I was getting screwed at the dealership. I also saw that this place had high reviews on Google and Yelp so I was disappointed with my experience. I will start out with the positives.Positives:- Staff was polite and cordial with me the entire time.- Their synthetic oil change + tire rotation came to be just under $70, which was beating the dealership of $80.Negatives:- Online Booking - I tried to book online and was directed on the website that someone would reach out to me to confirm within 1-2 business days. I booked a week ahead on 12/4 for an appt at 7:30am on 12/11. No one reached out until the day before (12/10 via email), by that time I had already called and booked at appointment. I booked an appointment for 8am on 12/11, as I was directed by the person on the phone that that is what time the guys arrive.- Extensive Wait Time - I was directed that my appointment would take approximately 2 hours. I arrived at 7:55am and dropped my car off at 8:00am exactly. Thankfully I had a ride and my job allows me to work remote, otherwise if I did not I would have been SOL. Now, based on previous experience I will give shops 30 more min on top of the estimate they give me just to be safe. Even then, my car ended up not being ready until 2:30pm. In between that time, I had gotten a call saying that my Acura TLX (not my car) was ready. Then when I confirmed that it was my Camry and not an Acura, they said it was still ready. However when I arrived at 1:30pm, I was advised multiple times by the front desk personnel that it would just be “15 more minutes” until 2:30pm when it was later. Again, luckily my job is flexible to where I could have waited an hour, many others are not like that.- Overpriced on Batteries - $179 for a battery. I don’t really fault the shop for charging this much as I as the consumer should have done my research ahead of time and done the car battery elsewhere. I don’t remember the cost for labor on this as well.- Broke a Part, then Charged me for it - The front desk made me aware that apparently all Camry’s have this plastic part that sometimes warps under heat, and it’s what holds the oil filter in place. Apparently, that piece broke while they were installing a new oil filter for me. Even though they broke the piece, I was still charged for the part replacement ($50), and they did not charge for labor on that at least. After discussing with a friend that was a previous Toyota mechanic, his thought was they did not use the exact tool that is required but as I’m not a mechanic I can’t argue that either way.- Small Ask to Turn off MAINT REQD Light - I also asked that they turn off the MAINT REQD light as well, and this is something they didn’t do either. I looked up how to do it afterwards and can do it on my own now, so at least that is a positive that came out of this experience.Overall: I will not be recommending this shop.

Good shop to deal with, but they are expensive. Their hours could be better. Timing belt change was about 200 more than the dealer would have charged, so do your homework and shop around.
