HEB Plus at Shary Rd, McAllen, is absolutely the place in the western Rio Grande Valley to shop for groceries. Very well organized & it has the best selection of products for winter Texans.

I really like this HEB Plus. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable and if they dont know the answer to your question, they go out of their way to find it for you. I always have good luck with curbside and the 2 times I have had something missing but was charged for, I simply call and tell them and they refund me, no argument.

If Publix and Walmart had a baby and it ended up being free of needle punctures, this is the store that would result. Clean, good selection, decent prices and nice friendly staff.

The self checkout really stunk, when you bring your own bags, the machine doesnt recognize it and keeps on asking you to press the button to call for help. We wound up leaving and went to Walmart

Nothing special really. I remember when this store first opened up they had everything it was like a mini Walmart now its just like a bigger HEB, nothing really impressive, the electronics department is subsided, theres hardly any clothing department. The plants also very small selection, backyard equipment section is so small as well. Overall its like a big mi tienda with a sub par meat and seafood dept.

This is a great store. The workers are always helpful. The meat dept will even cut meat for you. They have a great variety of everything. Even when the electricity was out for days they kept the store open . It was reassuring we had a good neighbor still hanging in there for us even if we couldnt get refrigerated items. Thanks HEB!

Of all the HEBs Ive been too, this is the best one to shops. Plant prices are way cheaper than Lowes and homedepot! Love the presentation of everything! Outstanding HEB.

I went to the Shary Rd. HEB pharmacy to get my COVID-19 vaccine and the personnel there were extremely courteous. The gentleman that gave me the shot, answered all my questions.I highly recommend this pharmacy and its staff.God bless each of them.

Employees here dont have good customer service. The bakery didnt ask if I needed help while I was buying macarons and a cake. And at checkout the cashier didnt greet us or say have a good or anything. The manager (guy wearing black) was even there bagging and he had no customer service either. Just chatted with the cashier and left.

Except for a very few select items such as bottles of MSG & the brand name Frigo aged parmesan wedges. You can find nearly every other Fine Culinary ingredient here. Including high quality duck fat imported hard-to-find ingredients and some of the most delicious cheeses in the world. Amazing wine selection also ranging from the more common to some of the harder to find Fine Wines. For some amazing spices and sauces look for Cooking Connections here and at the Trenton & North 10th intersection HEB!

Their koko’s catering was driving unsafe and over the speed limit while heading back to H‑E‑B they were speeding and driving outside of the traffic lines

Love HEB. BEST GROCERY STORE IN MY OPINION. Except they didnt have full fat Greek yogurt. But very few stores carry it. If they start carrying full fat Greek yogurt I will give 5 stars.

Went to buy a cake. Bake shop had a good variety to choose from. We bought a pina colada cake that was delicious.

Found all items on my list. Good prices. Was going to regular checkout (15 items) because I didnt qualify for self checkout. Tabitha stationed at self checkout had no one at her station so she pulled me in and scanned my items for me. Very personable! Kudos to Tabitha for being a very positive person early in the morning.

I love HEB. One thing I dont like is that when you buy a certain product buy it on every visit. Then they tell you we are not getting this product any more. I use to buy a beer( Mississippi mud) faithfully. Then a pastry bread called BABKA bought it on every visit asked them about it got the same answer we are not getting that anymore.

I like better than any store.

I like the selection here. I wish they had more veggies, but they offer HEB brands of it pre-washed.

I love this store. That’s why it’s so hard to give it 3/5 stars but it is what it is. In recent months, I have noticed an increase in the amount of product on sale that is past its expiration. Someone is not rotating or stocking inventory properly. Just today I went to buy some HEB naturals ground beef (80/20 mix), which I have come to love for burgers. Today is November 3. I didn’t buy the beef because it was dated best by October 28. Stonyfield yogurts are NOT regularly stocked and when they are, they are usually only a few days from expiration. It’s a shame because my kids love this stuff.

My experience at HEB was very good. Everyone was very helpful.

Long long lines of cars waiting to fuel subsequent to power outages caused by winter storm.Inside store, all dairy, meats, produce, and fish coolers and counters empty with no employees. Diet soda absent and water nearly exhausted. Plenty of paper towels and TP.

HEB sells you center cut shanks and puts .72 lbs of pure bone masked as a piece of meat. HEB is starting to place huge amounts of fat again on fajitas and pork ribs. I dont know why they choose to be so dishonest. I dont want to here that I can get a full refund if Im not happy. HEB play dishonest games means I have to waste more of my time and money to go back for them to make it right. Meat markets and juniors has never looked so good.

Love walking into this HEB Plus every single time I visit. Theres always something new that I missed as there is tons of items and variety to choose from. From the whole chicken and leg quarters on the grill and my fave section the sushi 🍣 area, to the bakery always smelling of warmth yeast rising. Store is huge as they have an electronics section with good selection of things for your phones and even game consoles. Meat selection is top notch never disappointed and they have kitchenware just incase. Huge home and garden area with my other fave section, charcoal and grill area 😉. Bottom line this HEB is go too place for everything in general and too much to list. You wont be disappointed.

Best location near us. Great selection and choice. 4-star rating for two reasons: Occasionally out of stock on milk alternatives like almond creamer and oat milk. Also, curbside online selection doesn’t always reflect what is available if you walk in.Great employees and a clean environment.

I always have a pleasant experience shopping here. Clerks are always friendly and helpful. I especially love their fresh sushi & sashimi. Their bakery department is wonderful; if they dont have a particular cake or pie, they will make you what you need. They even have a bit of a hardware section, nails and such. Their floral department is wonderful, they make very nice arrangements. They also have great barbecues and outdoor seating for sale.They literally have everything!

Always the best in very tough situations. With covid, and now with low temperatures getting us crazy looking for gas...they would just handle the situation as it comes with the best outcome. Gas station had dozens of heb workers redirecting the veeery long lines to get gas. Not one would get in...peaceful, quiet and effective. Heb is the best!

Or use Flavor free when ordered from HEB 😁And in-store services car sticker, Bill pay cash services.CHEAPEST Gas anywhere .Trust me its all one stripe shop.

Unfortunately, its so sad to see all those empty shelfs. I truly believe that our current situation warrants precautions and readiness. But people are thinking only of their own situation. We should be more concerned about the survival of humanity. Allow everyone to be able to have the necessary items. Best place to buy groceries in McAllen & Mission.

This is the best HEB in the McAllen and Mission area. Very disappointed in all HEBs for the lack of gluten free bread products, non Hispanic types of canned products, and choices of canned goods, etc being removed for HEB products. Contadina, for example, is nowhere to be found.

I found easy what I was looking for,plus I didnt have to wait in line...

Bigger than your average HEB, more often than not they have combo coupons which is awesome! Restrooms are always clean.
