Harold and everyone at Downtown Car Care did a great job getting my classic car up and running again! There arent many mechanics around who can work on a 60+ year old car, let alone who will be totally honest with you about what they can do and do the work for a fair price. I had gone to Pep Boys to get my headlight repaired. After keeping my car for 3 days trying to diagnose an electrical problem, Pep Boys informed me that I needed my entire headlight assembly replaced and it would take a week to get the part in and cost $2,700.00. I declined and took my car to Downtown Car Care for a 2nd opinion. After an hour or so, DCC determined that all I needed was a FUSE replaced and a new bulb. DCC saved me $2,500+ and theyll be my first go-to place for future repairs. They are extremely professional and friendly and I was very impressed with how clean their shop is. I highly recommend!

Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had with a car repair shop! I got a flat tire just hours before my flight was scheduled to leave and they we’re able to fit me in and finish the job extremely fast, the day before a major holiday! The staff was a delight to work with... Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I recently came into some critical car troubles while we were moving to New Orleans. We stopped in the nearest town which was Mobile. We took our van to Downtown Car Care and they helped us out big time. We were looking at a 1000+ service request to change and fix our transfer case. We didnt have that kind of time or money to stay there and wait for that to happen. It is a 94 so they would have had to track down the part first. Time is money. The dudes at the shop found a temporary way to get our van running safely without even changing it. Ran and still runs like a beaut. Only charged us $20 for the whole thing. Easily could have taken our asses for a ride. Solid people working at this place and would recommend them to anyone if i lived in Mobile.Thanks for all your help.

Fast and friendly service. Extremely reasonable rates compared to dealerships and you still have ASE Certified Mechanics that can do the work you can trust! I have known Harold 2 decades and he is as good as they get in bringing resolution to a car issue or concern. I would trust my mom, my wife, my sister and any daughter to go there alone and know they would be well taken care of there! Great job Harold and Chris!!

I had a flat tire the other day while I was downtown. The people at Downtown Car Care really took exceptional care of me! They were so friendly and welcoming when I pulled in. They knew I needed my car fixed quickly since it was almost time for carpool that afternoon. They were quick with patching my tire, and got me back on the road in no time! I will definitely be going back to see Harold at Downtown Car Care!

I dropped my old Jeep off because it was making a horrible noise. They had to fix a few different things but had me in and out same day. The price was reasonable and everyone was very nice. So far the Jeep is back to running like a champ! Gone are the days of dropping my vehicle off and waiting weeks to pick it up... I’m a forever client!

I brought my wifes car in for a few things (power steering pump, alignment, and oil leak) right before we left for vacation. As we were on vacation the shop kept us updated on everything that was going on. (A part was having to be ordered from out of state) The original quote was $1,000 which I was OK with because they wanted to do a transmission flush as well. For the amount of work and parts I was happy with price. They called about half way through our week long trip to give us an update and the shop owner stated he would have it done before we got back or worst case senario, the day we got back. He also stated he thought it would be a bit cheaper, about $950, well thats great. No problem there! So the day we got home he called and said the car was finished and that he was able to do all the work for $860!!! He very well could have charged me the $1000 and I would have gladly payed. He instead did the honorable thing and charged me what it cost him! Also, very clean shop!!

I was on my way to New Orleans and blew a tire on the interstate on the way. Downtown car care was the closest place to me and I’m so glad I was able to get their help. As soon as I called, they sent a tow truck and the owner was able to work with me on the cost of the tire I needed. Because I had a security bolt on my wheel and didn’t have the key for it, they had to remove the bolt — and they handled it for free! Instead of replacing both tires in the back, they only replaced the one that blew after looking at the condition of the other wheel which was super helpful since I told them I was on a budget. Since I’m a female, I’ve always felt wary of mechanics, but since visiting this shop, they’ve restored my faith in the business! Thank you for your hard work, flexibility, and kindness!

I am YounJi from University of Alabama. My family and I had a trip to Mobile, and our car stopped working on a roadside. We looked up all the reviews and chose Downtown Car Care to help us.The car broke down at 3pm on Friday. We thought there is no way to fix this car since it was late of the day. However, this place shocked me with the fastest service. They changed the broken alternator and replace to a new one in an hour. We really didnt wait at all. Plus, their customer service was great (the nicest mechanics ever seen!).I truly recommend this place. This place saved our summer trip.Again, choose this place for your car repair.I also want to leave a thank-you note to the crew. Thank you for your amazing service!

Fast service. Friendly staff. Really helped us out in a bind and got us back on the road again quickly. Breaking down in an unfamiliar area, states away from home, can be daunting. Everyone was exceptional.

My wife and I were traveling to Gulf Shores from Baton Rouge for a family vacation and at 3:00 both our rear breaks went out and we managed to get it to Downtown Car Care and they took it in, fixed it, and were back on the road in no time at all. This was all at an extremely reasonable price and would recommend these people to anyone.
