If you like arrogant salespeople who dont really care about customer service this is the place for you. If you like good quality sales people with excellent customer service then you might want to go somewhere else. Clayton Homes do not seem to care if they make a sale or not and customer service is non existent.

This place is a circus and Rafa is the clown. Not but false promises. They told me when I bought that I would be able to sell or refinance after a year, its been four years and because Vanderbilt want work with me the realtor or the state, they want retire the title to the mobile home so no banks will even entertain the idea of financing some one for it or refinancing myself. Also the particular home I purchased was a lot model in which they told me they were going to sell it to me for 85k I find out later after closing they sold it to me at 108k BIG DIFFERENCE. I would not rcommend them at all at all please I beg go anywhere but here.

They have false advertisement, broken promises and misrepresentation. They say your approved but your not, everybody is preapproved and they dont even know if your completely qualified until you give them your money and then they call and say owe the bank cant do it even though yoou have done everything on your end. I would not recommend anyone going here unless you have a perfect credit score and plenty of money for them to play with.

Clayton Homes refused to honor the warranty. They blew my dad off for 2 months. My dad hired a lawyer and now Clayton Homes are giving the lawyer the run around and the company is not giving the lawyer the correct information. I don’t recommend anyone to buy from Clayton Mobile Homes. Worst experience ever. Amanda Davis is who we talked to, and she had horrible customer service. Not to mention my dad paid cash for our mobile home. Now they are causing stress on my dad who has high blood pressure and he is a heart patient, and could end up in the hospital if he’s under too much stress. My dad does not deserve this type of treatment. WORST PEOPLE EVER.

Clayton Homes worked very hard to get a 5 star rating until they got it. After that they dont want to answer your questions, wont return your phone calls, and for me at least they use lousy contractors. The guy that did the dirt work did not put the pad where I wanted it because he did not like a magnolia tree so he pushed it over with a bulldozer. Clayton Homes did make that right replanting new trees. Did not finish installing the high-dollar polyurethane wall skirting that l was forced to purchase. I had used a piece of tin to cover the hole because the piece there was supposed to use the contractor cut it to small and ran out of material. Very unhappy with the service after I gave them the rating they wanted over the phone. I still give them a 3 star. Up until that point you give the little over the phone rating (which they will coach you through) Clayton homes had been very good to work with. I am enjoying the house that I purchased from them other than the fact that they havent finish installing the skirting that their contractor did a piss-poor job of installing.FYI if you get a modular home make sure they put the meter on the house to avoid having to get a tax sticker saying its a mobile home.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! After living in a brand new Clayton Home I can honestly say that the quality of their homes are despicable with a multitude of problems. Customer service is no help. All you will get is a complete run a round and a waste of your time and effort. I dont know why they give a warranty with their homes since they do not honor it! If you want to save yourself time and trouble, Do Not Buy a Clayton Home!

Roof shingles flap and are torn off with a good storm. Door hinges are subpar! I had to replace them within 2 years of purchasing the home. Skirting around the home has cracked and is falling apart. AC unit struggles during summer months. Biggest mistake ever! I would not wish this home on my worst enemy.

I was convinced to put a deposit on a home so no one else would get it. I was told that if I changed my mind Id have my money back within a few days. That was NOT what happened. It took just over a month to receive my money back. I went to Emerald homes in Loxley where I found a brand new mobile home for the same price as a used home Clayton was offering. Brett Lashmett did everything in his power to get me in a new mobile home as fast as he could. I would never recommend Clayton Homes to anyone!

Went by today to look (very interested in getting something bigger) stopped in at 5:50 on line they say they close at 7pm so we got out and we were met in the parking lot by the sales manager.. we were told they close in 10 minutes and we told him that is not what it says on line .. he says that is a type o .. oh well lost a customer.. must not have wanted a sale ...

We went to Clayton Homes to find our new home. We had a 16x80 to trade in. Found a beautiful double wide and sat down and done the paperwork. The salesman, Rafa Elaawar, told us that its not the question of IF we are approved but the question of HOW MUCH we would be approved for. He told us he would contact us within 48 hrs to let us know. A month went by with no call, I called him back. He said bank was behind he would call us when he heard anything. Its been a month and half and still havent heard anything. That is very unprofessional. If we werent approved tell us. They ran out credit and put a hard inquiry on it by running it. But yet we werent told anything. So its like it was run for nothing!!! Very disappointed.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. From the sketchy sales rep who has no communication to the manager who could care less. Even the mortgage company has a hard time working with Clayton Homes. First we were told we could get a home in our price range that turned out to be way over our price range. When we finally got the information on a home that we were comfortable with it took weeks to get any thing done to get the ball rolling. The mortgage and title company had difficulty getting what they needed from Clayton Homes on multiple occasions . Then we were told that we would be in our home by June 20th and a week before (after a week of trying to contact our sales rep) the manager told us that was never even a chance and it would be more like July 20th and that our sales rep had lied to us. At this point we had completely removed our fence and skirting bc we were inticipating a new home. Moving on from all the wishy washy answers, delayed communication, and SEVERAL mistakes, i got a call from the potential insurance company that said they were told not to send me anything at this time. When asking our sales rep what was going on (after asking for updates he said he was going to do for over a week now) he told me his manager would contact me. When the manager did not get in touch we finally called him. He then informed us they were cancelling the process. So we went through months of being drug through the mud with this unprofessional company and they drop us. I dont understand it but a lot of time and money was wasted. Please DO NOT ever use this company. It has been a complete nightmare. Now we have to start the process over with our whole life in disarray. I dont know how anyone can treat someone the way Clayton Homes has treated us.

Nice homes, but finish quality on show homes was not the greatest. Salesman (owner) made me feel like I was taking to a used car salesman.

Make sure your home is what you want bc I wanted double French doors to go outside and I was told I couldnt get it. So no they do build to suit

I wasnt crazy about this place. They told my husband and myself that they were only going to do one hard credit pull and then the rest were soft pulls, WRONG!! They did about 4 HARD pulls.

Promises made & not kept . I had to stay in a motel for an extra 2 months & finally moved into a 3rd choice home ! So bad my salesman was let go ! Totally destroyed my land & part of my neighbor ‘s lot when delivery was finally made without notifying me ! Worst experience ever !
