Small location, and fairly awkward to navigate but does have plenty of tools and accessories to sift thru. It feels as though Im always shoulder to shoulder trying to find what I need here and am not overly comfortable doing that, even prior to covid and the imposed restrictions for distancing and maximum people in the store.Its cool that the back side of the signs are in spanish, and Id hope that ones closer to the canadian border show the back side in french though. Will be checking that when I visit a family close to the canadian border when situation dictates it is safe to do so.

This is truly one of my favorite tool stores. I could spend hours, oh wellTruly can find some great deals here . Especially the tools. Found a certain type of drill here for 50 dollars which was 130 at other stores which will remain nameless 4 now. Good deals on strong name brands.

Walked in the door, found half of what I wanted, found an employee walking towards me, asked my query, was told product was out of stock. Darn. Employee said wait, new shipments are right here. He found the other half of my want list. I was grateful, he was happy that he was able to help me. He is the best and worth every dime of his wages. Thank you again youngster! Then I paid and was on my way home with my treasures. Less than 20 minutes. Thats efficiency.

The manager Amanda at this location was awesome & very helpful!!!I bought a 70 Gal dust collector at a watsonville store this week while I was working in the Bay area& when I got home & unboxed it I realized there was a problem with 1 of the parts either from shipping or from factory, but either way, when I went to deal with it on phone here at this location on Carpenter, I specifically asked to talk to a manager & that being said Id also like to state that the person who answered the phone was also very professional and helpful as I heard no problem give me one moment and less than 30 seconds later I was talking to Amanda and everything went so smoothly on phone & also at the store I thought I had to write this review!!!!

Its always been a fun store to browse. The current staff is absolutely great (Minus 1 young employee who needs to learn how to say Excuse me.)! With other locations in neighboring cities, its not so crazy and chaotic like years before. I gave 4 stars only because of the young man that almost ran over me and my service dog!

Affordable tools for the once in awhile handyman warranty are great 👍 you can always ask for help and youll get it😉

Is Harbor Freight. Ultra value, and good quality FOR THE MONEY. This one is good because they keep it super clean, organized, and stocked fairly well. The staff know their store and products really well, and they are nice.

The people who work there are super nice & helpful. The store is well-organized, clean & bright, everything in its place. The prices are very reasonable compared to their competitors.

They are always friendly & helpful, they greet you when you walk in, and usually ask if theres something you need help finding

I received a great service here. I got discount with one of my purchase and I had gotten the wrong quantity of an item and went back the same day. I showed my receipt since I forgot to get the correct quantity and asked for the discount; the cashier validated the discount.Its hard to find good customer service now a days. I dont care what people say, Harbor Freight is a great place to buy a lot of different things I use for work. Any consumables will cost you a fraction of what they cost at the big box stores. I have the HVLP spray gun and the powder coating system and have made a lot of money with them and never had anything to complain about.

Here are current store hours as of August 2019. I like good prices on items. Waiting in line takes a while sometimes so dont be surprised.

The location itself is not the best but on a good note its easily accessible from either direction. The inside is as clean as can be and items are neatly organized for your choosing. There are way too many items to list and or even choose from but the more the better. From cheap and easily replaced items to that forever tool youve been searching for. Check them out, staff is friendly and there to help you.

Not to crowded when I go.

Have what I need but the employees are not helpful. Dont bother asking anyone if they need anything and they stand around and gossip. Pointed me in the wrong direction, said they didnt have what I needed but then I found it. After I paid for my larger item and was waiting for it to come from the back, the last lady that sent me in the wrong direction tried to come roll out someone elses $400 order that was on hold by the door. Glad I know what I am doing.

Woulda gave them 5 stars had any of the employees(they were staffed well)at least achknowledged me as a customer, and asked me if I needed any help or a simple hello or how you doing? Any of those would be nice to any customer. It makes the customer feel appreciated. Just for being there. I hope your following me on this and accepting this criticism and learn from it. Wow, where to begin. The new store layout makes so much better use of their space it is truly a new store. Better flow, better visual presentation better logic in the relative grouping if tools and accessories, better control of shrinkage (loss prevention term for items routinely pilfered, stolen, shoplifted, etc.) which means better prices!Harbor Freight has been rolling out their new brands (tough sounding names, tough tools?) for awhile now and theyre being sold, but Im not seeing them on the job site, yet. Im interested in seeing them make quality tools but does Average Joe Homeowner need contractor grade tools? Only the buyer can say. I think it best that whatever tool purchase one is considering its best to buy the absolute best tool you can afford a[ that time. That being said, I also am of he belief that if youre interested in a new hobby that requires the purchase of a new tool set, or project specific tools, you we Ill do fine getting them from Harbor Freight. Yea very sad when store manager could not figure out who he is helping .I was buying floor jack .the green that could not find . So they pulled a blue one down for me . He left it on floor had to go get it take to cash register pay for it put on dolly . Apparently you cant use the dollys your self so it was set up to take and load he pulled it off the dolly slammed it up against window . I said what the f---k are you doing my bad . He went to get grocery cart I was like really your kidding . I picked it up and carried to put in truck .

Good place with good prices, however it is full of gossiping female workers. Went there today and heard about 3 female workers gossiping and talking really bad about another female worker. Very unprofessional and disrespectful of them to be infront of customers. Will not be returning

I had a bad experience with a cashier she was rude, and when I put my money on the counter she grab it up like it bothered her to be there then when my boyfriend told her that an employee from the back brought his item up and gave him a discount she said well I dont know who that was and unwilling to go the extra distance to help the customer, she was so snotty that we didnt want to come back until I spoke to the store manager. He was so nice when we came back it made us want to come for sure. Yeah she just couldnt wait to go to lunch. What an experience and I worked on retail for years. Thank you sincerely Vikki

Went to the Modesto store, since I live in Modesto, but they did not have what I wanted in stock. Went to the Turlock store, and they had what I needed and then some. Nice, beautiful, new store. Clean, friendly staff, very helpful, they went above and beyond to help me.

Low cost tools, saved my life many times, over those real expensive stuff you know the ones.

I always like just looking around, like a kid in a candy store. But today I needed something specific and when I didnt locate it right away there was a person right away who asked if I needed assistance. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. At check out everything went smoothly.

Harbor freight has great priced tools.they keep their shelves stocked.dont expect high quality tools but they sometimes last longer than expected.

Very good customer service. I had 3 different employees help find ad items I couldnt find. One checkout employee came over and took 2 bulking items to her register while I completed my shopping.

Great store, shop here all the time. Just a suggestion regarding phone calls. I waited in line to get in and wait in line to pay. I think you should have someone designated to answer the phone beside the cashiers. When the cashier is on the phone things stop and your waiting while their on the phone with someone that’s not even there waiting. Just a suggestion.

Our 8 year old son has been collecting tools from HF for over a couple of years now. We make it in 2-3 times a month. The store is always clean and well stocked and, UNLIKE most every other store I patronize, the employees are always willing and able to help. These folks are on top of it. The quality of tools has GREATLY increased the last few years too. My sons U.S. General 5 drawer tool cart is awesome!!Ive noticed several times an employee named Saleem, possibly a manager. This guy they better hang on to. I rarely see someone as focused and commited to treating people right and getting it right the first time. Saleem has those traits and I wanted to aknowledge that, as a customer, I recognize and appreciate people who work on that level.I hope hes being paid what hes worth and that HF takes a good look at moving him up the ladder quickly.
