If youre googling looking for the awesome restaurant that doesnt exist anymore... my condolences. Its just a grocery store now, only hot item is some carnitas.I was hungry, too, hahaha. Used to be an awesome place when the restaurant was open too.

They have the best fresh Mexican produce. And best fresh meat to make Spanish styled dishes. They have really great fresh made menudo best in the quad cities.

Was good some item was cheap or same the big stores another not so cheap more expensive the bigs stores but has a lot Mexican item that you cant find in bigs stores.

Real authentic Mexican store, fresh mean and they serve tamales and birria burritos for super cheap. Got chicharron with meat on it and at a great price. You will find everything you need here

Horrible experience trying to get a hold of management for the store all day. The young ladies answering the phone kept hanging up on me without providing me with information to contact the manager including at least a name to direct mail to.

One of my favorite stores/restaurants. I am sorry to find out that to expand the store, that the restaurant in permanently closed. The good thing is that they will still offer take-out. Too far for me. It would be soggy before I got home but it would still taste good. Good bye my friend. I will miss you dearly!

Best Hispanic store around. Burritos and carnitas are the best

Very small clean neighborhood grocery store, very limited produce but they do carry authentic hispanic items. You absolutely have to get the rice water!! If they still sell the cooked food try everything! Very friendly staff. Prices are a little high but well worth it. Speak English and Spanish. This is a hidden gem Im glad I found!

Food Is Amazing ! I use to go here every Friday back in 2017 before I moved to Az and when I get off I get the same 12 STEAK TACOS BEST I’ve ever had before and not to mention they also cashes my checks with no problem! I SO LIVE THIS PLACE CANT WAIT TO VISIT NEXT TIME I COME IN TOWN TO SEE MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS!

Excellent selection of some hard to find Mexican groceries items. The arrachera (flank steak) from the meat market is very good. Ask the butcher to run it through the tenderizer machine for a softer meat.

Authentic Mexican food, not the Americanized version. Not open for dinner. They close at 4pm. Its attached to a well stocked grocery store. A hidden gem. Nice people and very good food.

Loved the carnitas here. Pleasant servers, very reasonably priced. The adjoining grocery store is well stocked with Mexican favorites.

My favorite place for Salsa Roja burrito. I always stop by for lunch when Im nearby.Be aware the restaurant is closed until May 28 2019 for remodeling.

I came for the authentic tacos and was not disappointed. Lines can get long during lunch when it comes time to pay at the counter.They also have an expanded weekend menu (Friday-Sunday) that I asked the server about. It includes things like menudo and champurrado, which are worth a try.

Food is the best Mexican Ive had in the QC. Friendly staff also. Pricing is very affordable. Grocery store is connected also.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Quad Cities, hands down. Good portions and good prices. Best options for tacos, you can choose from about 6 different meats, soft or hard shell, cilantro and onion, or lettuce, tomato, and cheese.

The store has a sort of ramp to help people with access but the door is not disabled friendly, you just have to knock on the door and someone will assist you. The isles are narrow and if you can tell them what you are looking for they will get it for you. The restaurant has daily specials and stops serving at 4 pm. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.

Ive only had the tacos, guacamole and chips. All was delicious. They have many differwnt meats to choose from for the tacos such as steak, chicken, ground beef, and chirizo. Only 1$ each on Fridays

Food is very good.They do get busy around lunch time but its definitely worth the wait.I always go for the burrito grande because ita enough food for two days. Quesadillas are good to and I recommend the green salsa.Service is nice.You can called ahead orders if you look up there menu. I do it all the time for work.

I love shopping my meats for the week at El mexicano. I also like to go there on the weekends when they have a bunch of cook foods to go and enjoy with the family, like fried tilapias, carnitas, chicken legs, tacos dorados, birria, pozole, menudo, etc. They also have tons of other things, mexican bread is my favorite. If you need to go shopping for you, Now you know where to go XoX.

Went to the attached grocery store for first visit. Recommended by a coworker. I bought too much but love everything so far. Purchased shredded, no fat, no bones, mildly seasoned carnitas (the bomb), tamales, empanadas (all pre-made!) and various candies! The line was a bit long, but def worth it!

I liked it, very crowded, long lines. Wanted to eat in the restaurant, no seats available, pthe whole hour I was there. I needed to bring my Spanish speaking friend because meat case was wrote in Spanish only.

I havent been to the restaurant only to the grocery store several times. They have stuff that I dont find at the major supermarkets. I have bought carnitas, pico de gallo and salsa, all homemade, from the meat counter and they are all very delicious. The staff are very nice and try to help you with everything you need. Prices are low and the store is small and it feels cramped but if youre looking for Mexican products, look no further

The place is cheap and has good portions but something is off. The beef taco meat cooked at the beginning of the day doesnt taste fresh. Did not like the pastor meat on the taco or on the sope, the flavor wasnt good. The carnitas taco had good taste as well as the tamarindo drink.
