Nice coffee shop in downtown Monroe. Stopped for a refreshing drink while on a bike ride and exploring the area.

This place is what the chains want to be, but all the detail the place puts into their product has to be discarded to shove more stuff out the window. Detail and excellence is what Agua Dulce brings, and it would be a thriving business in Ann Arbor or Bloomfield Hills. Monroe is fortunate to have it, and I predict more will be coming.

A lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff, they remembered me even after I hadnt visited since the start of quarantine 1.5 years ago! Gives me a nice, honey feel that you just dont get at the bigger coffee chains.The coffee is always excellent, and the same goes for their baked goods and food. The scones and oatmeal in particular are amazing. If you ever find yourself in Monroe looking for coffee, give Agua Dulce a try for sure.

Beautiful shop. Such a welcoming atmosphere. Large deck faces the river. Loved the Take 5 Mocha-hot. Get the loyalty card and buy drinks and coffee! The pastries and granola look amazing. They even have $1 bags of chocolate covered coffee beans. The chocolate covered cherries are a-mazing too! 10 stars!

Super nice coffee shop in D/T Monroe. Nice cozy atmosphere good for talking to a friend or just enjoying a coffee by yourself. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of choices to drink so the helpful part is essential. I had a wonder slow pour over it was great.

The fourth time visiting there. Roasted coffee is great and reasonably priced - can get any amount you ask for. Coffee tastes great. Only complaint I have is that service was a little slow the most recent time I went with 3 people working. Wont discourage me from returning though!

A friend just told me about this place and Im glad they did. The inside is beautiful and the coffee tastes amazing. Got some dark roast beans to take home and cant wait to try them in the morning.

Really cool atmosphere, and great drinks. The staff was incredibly friendly as well. The coffee beans from Frenchtown Roasters are excellent (try the organic Ethiopian!). I can definitely see this becoming my go-to place for coffee beans, and its a plus that I can feel good about supporting a local small business.

The drinks are tasty and the employees are friendly! The ordering process isnt very streamlined and I feel awkward and anxious standing about waiting for drinks in such a small space. I think adding online ordering options would resolve my complaints.

Cozy seating area with small town owners behind the counter most days, happy to serve up a warm cup, and a tasty plate with pleasant conversation. They roast their own coffee and have a good selection of fine teas along with accessories for your home brewing experience including cold brew and French press coffee, with English and oriental style tea diffusers, cups etc.

Agua Dulce has wonderful drinks, as well as friendly and personal service. They value quality over quantity, which is evident in their products and menu.

As much as I want to leave a great review I can’t. I love the people, the atmosphere and the store is nice and clean. I’ve only been here twice but my caffe mocha has been very watery each time, not a hint of mocha. My husband even thought it was very watery. I would have brought back in if I hadn’t already been on the road when I tasted it.I may try again in the future but for now I’ll stay with my home brewed coffee.

Super cute atmosphere. Unlike starbucks, Dulces coffee has flavor - it tastes roasted instead of burned/flash fried. The food is simple, good, and to the point. It can be a little expensive, but hell going out anymore is. As a local Id recommend this place. I recommend it especially if youre trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of Starbucks. Shop local.

BEST COFFEE AND TEA IN TOWN, or the surrounding areas for that matter. This coffee and tea room is super modern and clean with an amazing drink menu that could meet anyones taste. I absolutely love their chia lattes and berry breakfast bars. I always receive friendly service and love supporting this local, veteran-owned business. They now provide the coffee for my entire office as we have all fallen in love with their Rwandan coffee that not only tastes great but has am amazing story behind it as well.

A real gem near Monroes downtown! Coffee is excellent, and I can also speak for the hot chai, which was as good as any version Ive gotten from an Indian source.I went for breakfast, and got the apple cinnamon walnut baked oatmeal, which was very good as well.Agua Dulce has never disappointed me. The atmosphere is low-key, the decor is pleasantly a blend of newer and vintage, the staff always seem friendly and helpful. Keep up the great work!

Im glad Starbucks was closed today. Ive never stopped at Agua Dulce but what a nice surprise. Employees and customers were doing an excellent job of social distancing. Will definitely be my go to place for snacks and coffee in Monroe.

My favorite coffee shop! They serve authentic coffee drinks, brewed from self-roasted beans. It really doesnt get any better (or more fresh) than this! The shop is filled with many awesome coffee/tea accessories; perfect for gifts. The owners are amazing people, which makes conversation while your drink is being prepared, just as enjoyable as the drink itself. Love!

First visit presently surprised, quite a building renovation. I would say its the go-to place for your coffees and tea. Great cookies and treats, also a nice patio to enjoy.

Very friendly staff. Clean and warm feeling inside. I had a delicious Chai tea, that hit the spot perfectly...and my 3 year old had an adorable little Hot chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. The prices werent bad at all either. I will definitely be returning :)

My boyfriend and I ordered nitro coffee cold brew and regular cold brew iced coffee and the breakfast burrito with fresh salsa and the egg sandwich on an everything bagel and we added bacon to both... everything was amazing. Hands down the best coffee Ive ever had and best breakfast sandwich Ive ever had as well. The fresh salsa for the burrito was so good I was stealing some to put on my bagel! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great cozy place with amazing breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Nice relaxing place to study or have a calm morning. Looking forward to doing some studying here in the future!!

I am new to Monroe and have been somewhat disappointed by the lack of fresh, updated, and hip places to go out. Not only does Agua Dulce have excellent ambiance, the coffee was also very tasty and the woman who served me at the counter was extremely warm and friendly. I will definitely be going back often!

Great coffees n teas.*UPDATE: New location on Front is a large meet n greet n catch up spot. We happened to show up - and tried the German Choc Cake - perfection does not fo it justice. The oatmeal is perfect too. Nothing is just sugar - it is flavors, aromas and textures that equal perfect.

Agua Dulce is our familys source for tea and whole bean coffee. Coffee is roasted right there on the premises and has been delicious. There is a large selection of tea, and the proprietor is quite knowledgeable of the various coffees and teas. The quality of the food is superb. The proprietor is constantly trying new recipes and is very careful to use the finest, fresh ingredients. They strive to please, also. There is a lot of individual attention, whether it is getting exactly what you want in your food order, or simply engaging in friendly conversation about food at the coffee bar. Once I wanted a simple plate of cheeses. Even though it was not on the menu, they put it together for me. I highly recommend Agua Dulce. Oh, yes, their baked oatmeal is great, and the Fallon Fav veggie sandwich is delicious.Update: We moved to Traverse City in 2015, but we still buy all of our coffee from Agua Dulce via mail order. They ship quickly!

This place is fantastic. They have so many different types of tea I was highly impressed. The coffee selection is just as impressive. Highly recommend anyone to try this place just once because Id hate for people to miss out on the experience of quality.Staff here are extremely helpful taking time to answer my questions. Super clean to a point where I couldnt see anything out of place or even a grain of sugar on a surface. Can you tell im impressed I never leave this long of a review.

First time here the atmosphere is old fashion with a great selection of music. This is a wonderful aroma of tea and coffee in the air when you step in and the staff here are very patient and friendly with you. Definitely worth your time to check this place out! Neighborhood coffee place. They roast their own beans. Wide variety of beans. Staff can explain the difference between the beans.I prefer to buy my beans here instead of from the big chain.The store is small. Waiting in line is cramped and awkward. Some of the seating had the HVAC blowing right up your leg. Other than that the ambiance is warm and cozy with great natural light and real hardwood floors. But who cares what the inside is like if the beans are lame. Coffee is great. The end.

Very good locally roasted in season single origin coffees and a house blend.They serve nitro cold brew coffee which has incredible flavor and consistency. Highly recommend if you like iced coffee!They also have an extensive tea selection.Baked goods are very good too.

One of our absolute favorite places. Their iced chai tea latte is the best that I have found. No box or pre-mix, they developed it on their own. My husband goes for the coffee and baked oatmeal. The baked goods and scones are always a lovely treat. The environment is comfortable and welcoming, whether you are getting something to go or staying for awhile. If you choose to stay for a bit, the windows are many, allowing lots natural light. Youre sure to find a favorite drink or be able to pick up your favorite tea and coffee supplies. Truly a treasure tucked into Monroe.

I like picking up my coffee beans here, drinking coffee here and occasionally splurging for a chai with cayenne pepper, WOW!I like the owners and the staff. Their space is conducive to quiet meetings for a couple or few people. Kindness and care seem to be steeped in their DNA. This was good but not great coffee. The ambiance was charming and the staff friendly but I was disappointed after all of the great reviews to get a Starbucks grade cup of coffee. I was pleased, however, that my mocha was not too sweet and that they used whole milk instead of two percent. That was nice for taste but the espresso was just not a great flavor.

This is my absolute favorite coffee house! Aside from having THE BEST coffee, everyone is friendly. Youll likely see one of the owners there and probably have a conversation with them. Agua Dolce is great if you just want to grab a quick coffee to go or sit and enjoy some quiet time. They are also lucky to be conveniently located right beside a large parking lot.

I cannot speak highly enough about this place. I have no idea why there is ever a line at Tim Hortons with this place near. Drink selections are amazing. I am currently hooked on their cold brew (which I now buy by the growler!). Their egg burritos with the homemade salsa is better than anything Ive ever tried! Actually have not tried anything here that wasnt amazing!

Best coffee I have had in years. When in Monroe, I will never stoop to Timmy Hoes or Starclucks again. Absolutely love the tea selections too (wife is a tea drinker). Their knowledge, and variety of coffee concoctions they have to offer as refreshing.

You could go to Tim Hortons and get Hepatitis A or you could get the best coffee in Monroe. Maybe Michigan. Maybe the world. I only buy my coffee here, whole bean or by the cup. Love. Love. Love.

A classic small business coffee shop. I got a simple medium roast coffee and it was great. Truly a fine addition to Monroe.
