Went to return an online order and they were giving me a hard time. First they were asking for a return slip that was suppose to be with the item. Package did not come with one. So they had to call another store (multiple times). They said I could do It with my order number. Which I had ready. They asked how was it paid for I told them it was with a credit card but through PayPal. Then they try to say they can refund it to PayPal they will have to give me store credit!You will think this situation would of been simple. I just remember How much I can’t stand walking into these stores.

Return Policy Scam!!! I bought a game last week at a GameStop (GS) at Carolina Place Mall in Charlotte, NC for my daughter. During that time of purchase I wasnt sure about the game, but the GS employee assured me that there is a 7 day return policy for all pre-owned games if I didnt like it. On the 7th day, I went to GameStop in Monroe, NC and requested to return the game. I was denied as the GS employee told me that several months after Covid, GS changed their policy to 2 days instead of 7 because some customers were abusing this policy. With reluctance, I accepted his reasoning and we bought another pre-owned game. On the receipt of the new purchase, it states that pre-owned games can be returned for a full refund with in 7 days for ANY REASON. I pointed this out to the GS employee and he told me that I would need to call the 800 corporate office as there is nothing he can do.I called the corporate 800 number and the customer service support completely contradicts the policy by telling me that their return policies is only for defects or broken items. As I clarify that their terms states any reason, she argued that GS will not accept any return if the game was opened. Keep in mind that this is a pre-owned. So its already opened and played with before I ever purchased it.Completely horrible service and I would not recommend anyone going to GameStop to buy their pre-owned games since its only $5 cheaper then new. The only advantage was the 7 days to try it out, but since they are lying about that policy, there is no reason for me to ever go to buy pre-owned at GameStop. They just lost a long time customer.

That black guy with tattoos happens to be one of the most knowledgeable and helpful people in the gaming industry and certainly of GameStop. This man is kind enough to load my games for my system and keep it updated and such without hesitation and I guarantee you’ll not find anyone else that would take time to do that for a customer. And he has always made sure that myself and every customer that I’ve seen him interact with is treated with respect and welcoming when entering his store. His staff reflects the same criteria of exceptional service. Perhaps you need to go to Walmart and find a white person without tattoos help you? Good luck with that, as for myself I prefer to do business with people that know what they are talking about, regardless of color of their skin or political views.

Love Gamestop, but this location is horrible. Lots of availability when it comes to games you need, but you will NEVER get anyone to answer the phones. (Due to “bad phone service,” yet the call is denied at different times every call. Seems suspicious that none of my calls have ever been answered.)I’d much rather support the Monroe mall location. They answer phones, help out as much as possible in an authentic manner, and will get you what you need.This store doesn’t seem to value customers but value sales instead.

Okay, so here is a scenario: you pull into the parking lot of a GameStop just to realize that it is 2019 and hardcopies of games are irrelevant. Of course, you would feel very badly about your existence and quickly turn your car around. I feel bad for anyone working for this company. It is irrelevant. It is the Blockbuster of videogames. All the workers want to do is promote their mixer accounts where they stream. Not a good time to buy stocks in the company. Steam is Netflix; GameStop is Blockbuster. Do the math.

Its a bit more pricey than ebay and amazon but you dont have to wait for shipping. The rewards program is worth it ONLY if you plan on continued frequent purchases from these stores. Typically having the membership saves a dollar or so per game, so if youre not making a lot of purchases youll be losing money. But if you live with, or are, an avid gamer the rewards program would be a smart way to go.

Helpful; above and beyond: 1) Worked with me on console trade ins. 2) Transferred data to my kids 3DL and persevered when it seemed like it wasnt working. 3) Great at recommending games. Dont know why people are whining about rudeness from certain people; show much respect...get much respect. Self-centered, post-post-modern millenials need to learn the meaning of valour AND learn how to talk with people. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GameStop professionals.

Went to buy Mario games for my 2 autistic boys. All staff was not very helpful in answering questions. At the counter ask one employee Josh on how the games works. Another employee Andrew walks up to my son and took the hot wheels Mario cars out of my sons hand and im sranding next to him planing on buying the cars. Making my son cry. Called about an hour later to see why they would do that. Seems thats store policy. People wonder why online shopping is killing local businesses. Here is a good reason why. I will never being going back to this gamestop ever. Went to to one down the road and spent $200. This post is not the end of this. Reading reviews of this game stop is proof that higher management needs to intervene. Stay clear of this game stop. There is one 1 mile down the road with better staff.

Not being racist but I have been there many times and the young girl is always so polite. Today the manager who happened to be black was at the counter today. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes before he finally acknowledged my presence. I was attempting to sell my PS4 which was quoted for $120. One of the remotes i had the pad is gone and he said after the referb fee it brings the cash down to $65.. Of course i got frustrated and told him gamestop was a rip off and i did wrong telling him to f himself when he told me to not return after calling gamestop a ripoff. Yes i was rude to him. But he was very disrespectful towards me from the starts.

This is the worst Game Stop that I have ever been to and I have visited several Game Stops in the surrounding South Carolina and North Carolina areas! If you want good customer service and employees that will inform you about what youre buying this is not the Game Stop for you! I have lost 150 dollars dealing with this Game Stop. First time I went there I made the mistake of buying a 12GB PS3 and two 5 GB games. If the customer service was actually good like the other Game Stops Ive been to they would have informed me that Im buying two high GB games so I might need to look into buying a PS3 with more GBs (Every other Game Stop that I have visited has been very informational when it comes to what youre buying, they tell you everything you need to know about the product but not this Game Stop) but that conversation never occurred, they let me buy the 12 GB PS3 knowing I needed more room than 12 just with games I had bought on that same day and sent me on my way! All they care about is making a dollar, they do not care about their customers at all! Their Manager tells you lies to get you back in his store and once you get there he tells you yall had a misunderstanding on the phone and now he cant do what he promised he would do for you once you got there. This is the absolute worst Game Stop EVER!!! I will never shop here again, they have another Game Stop in the Monroe Mall so if you live in the Monroe area I highly recommend that you shop at the one inside of the mall not unless you want to spend extra money and have the worst customer service ever!
