Do not recommend!!! First off walked up to the rented truck and seen a big screw sticking out of the tire went it to tell them and instead of changing trucks or fixing it they said they would note it and wrote it on a post it note, Yeah! This is not a safety issue or perhaps ending up me changing the tire on the side of the road. Second the passenger side door did not completely latch closed. Whenever we shut the door it stuck out a half inch and rattled like it was still open. Would not let anyone ride there while moving afraid they would possibly fall out with door not latching correctly. So yes we needed to drive an extra vehicle to load and unload at different locations. Third, it was a warm weekend and the air conditioner did not work all day. It was blowing warm air from 10am to 9pm that night then decided to start blowing cold air. Forth, I feel the milage and gas was wrong. We just moved around the corner so just put on under 40 miles and ended up paying $35 in gas to fill back up. Almost another dollar a mile in gas. After thinking about it I guess the trick on this would be to not completely fill it up until the gas pumps stops on it own but to just fill it up until the needle just touches the full gauge and stop. Very disappointed in a what I thought was a reliable and professional company. Would not recommend to family or friends. Use your own vehicles youll make the extra trips anyways, it was a waste of money! Even a refund wouldnt be half of the hassle, but a thought!

Went to rent a trailer to haul a hot tub with. Upon arrival I was unable to take the trailer due to a wiring issue with my hitch. This was of course after I paid. I was told a reversal could be done and I would have my money released back to my credit card. I called several times that day to inquire and the phone was never answered so I returned to the store where I was met with ill trained employees. The manager was called in the phone at which time I was told she would handle my refund for equipment that I NEVER LEFT WITH!!! It’s been a week now and I still cannot reach anyone in the phone nor have I received any refund. This place is a total joke.

Awesome service. Ken at this location is THE BEST. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left out, I had nothing but excellent customer service. He answered all my questions, gave me options on different offers & helped me get the perfect size truck I was looking for, as well as boxes.

Disappointed once again!!! I stop in there on a Saturday afternoon to fill a propane tank and the two gentlemen working behind the counter seem to be involved in good conversation and explain to me that nobody that was there knows how to operate the propane fill station, so the following day I stop in there hoping for a different crew and I am told that my propane tanks were out of certification because it was 10 years old even though stamped on every single propane tank says they need to be inspected every 12 years needless to say they didn’t fill it once again I’ll be going to Baker’s Ace hardware from here on out thanks for nothing!!Signed, sorry to bother you with my business!

Last 4 times Ive tried to have a propane tank filled they either dont have someone there to do it or its down. Go to bakers ace on dixie highway. It cost less there as well.

Had a truck and appliance dolly reserved. Did not have the dolly when I arriveded to move a refridgerator. Very unprofessional and total disregard for peoples plans and reservations. Do not trust the reservation system.

Moved to Monroe from out of state using U-boxes. Had our boxes shipped and unloaded at our residence to find out the next month we were charged for storage of these boxes. Figured it was an honest mistake and reached out multiple times to correct the issue. We have now contacted them 3-4 times now including in person and was told they would refund us every time. It never happened...We had to call the credit card company to place a charge back.

If you want to deal with people that dont know what theyre doing, get ALL of your information wrong to the point they cant even find you in the system, get notifications only when your rent is an ENTIRE month late, and not be able to access your belongings because people will just tell you to ask when you come instead of fixing the issue and making it right, then I HIGHLY recommend this place. Standing in line right now for the second time because I could not be helped due to the lack of training while the assistant manager is out knowing good and well this poor girl has no clue what shes doing. Ive not moved up once person in the 40 minutes Ive been here.

Typically, my experience with Uhaul is good. Renting trucks there is easy and fairly cost effective.This rating is only about my latest visit.I just wanted to rent a dolly to move a fridge. Two hours, tops. I was told they didn’t have any. The one sitting in the store was for sale only. That’s fine.There were ten dollies sitting in a cage outside.Weird.

Upon picking up my truck i admit i had every intent of leaving a 2 star rating. Truck was beat up bad (i performed a walk around myself for personal protection...) told there was 3/8s of a tank of gas as well. I get in the truck and start driving and look down not even 1 minute down the road and Im at 1/8th not 3/8. I then get to my old house to load up and lo and behold the utility dolly wasnt in the back. I called to report it and the gas issue... then had to send one of my adult kids to go grab it. Mind you, i had only 4 people helping me move and 2 were kids. This cut into my time big time. I wasnt happy. However the following day when i returned the truck they not only took the dolly charge off but let me keep it for 2 days (holiday weekend). Plus knocked my bill down dramatically. And the best part was I didnt really have to raise a stink about it. I appreciated the excellent customer service where their mess -up was apparent and i felt they went above and beyond to correct a seriously screwed up experience. Thank you for the excellent customer service!!

Not worth your time. Scheduled a hitch installation, and upon arrival on the appointment date was told the store did not have a hitch installer on staff due to their General Manager not having hired one. Cannot receive a refund in store upon cancelation. Seemed incredibly mismanaged.

Decent place to rent from but it really depends on who you talk to in the building one girl Janae (which I spoke to her over the phone) was very rude and didnt seem like she wanted to give me any information when I went into the place the general manager was sitting at the desk while his other guy helped me out.... like I said its a decent place to rent from but poor customer service the only reason why im giving this two stars is for the sake of the guy that actually did help me he was very nice and helpful

Dont waste your time! I paid for a hitch and wiring install. The first time blinkers were not operating so I took it back and had to plead with them to fix it without charging me. When I got home after their fix I realized that the brake lights on my car werent working. I decided to go to the Ann Arbor Uhaul and the tech there discovered the wires going to the brake lights were cut. Not only were they cut, Steve (the General Manager at Monroe) cut them so short the wire connector needs to be replaced.

I made a reservation at Monroe to have a hitch installed on my car. I live a distance away and when my appointment came to be installed. The location told me “ sorry buddy, your parts aren’t here”. I inquired about a call to tell me, and I was disregarded. When I said it wasn’t very good customer service I was given an attitude. It has been over a month and I have called numerous times always sent to call center. No one from location had contacted me about my reservation. Still no resolution.

Either there posh for service button by the propane is broken or they are just egnoring it

Reserved over 2 weeks in advanced and the day before they were supposed to call with a pickup time and no call received. Called them to discover my pickup location was changed, which would of added 2+ hours to the end of my move. NO THANKS! Their solution was to find another company, so I did. THANKS FOR NOTHING U HAUL!

I wanted a hitch installed on my 2016 Jeep renegade and took it on a Monday to have it installed. Only to be called back to say they couldnt make it work. Their Best Hitch Pro Couldnt even figure it out even though there are a ton of videos out there to help with this. So after 3 days of them having the vehicle I had to go over there and show them how to put it on and leave without the wiring finished because I needed the car back. I do not recommend you bring your vehicle here for a hitch install if they cant even be bothered to watch a video to make sure they know what they are doing.Also they are terrible at calling you back, multiple times on hold for 20 minutes only to leave a message with the call center and then have to wait multiple hours to get a call back.The place is very understaffed as well so its actually no wonder they dont have time to do any problem solving when the install didnt go completely right.Stay away from this place of you can and if you need a hitch installed do it yourself and save the headache or find somewhere else to have it done.

AVOID THIS PLACE! I walked in and the service rep(Nicholas C. ) went to sit down behind a section were I couldnt see him, once another customer called him out on it and asked If he was available he then started working. I was next in line and walked over to him and as we were going through the paperwork he threw the ink pen down on the counter at me to sign because the electronic machine wasnt working properly(Unprofessional). Now to the trailer installation. He is out hooking up the trailer and he tells me my power source doesnt work and then he used some key ring tester(That did not work) to check and then says he cant release the trailer. Well I just had the power source inspected by a tech at an auto shop and he says it works perfectly fine. So I wasted almost 2 hours because someone that DOES NOT want to do there job told me my power source wasnt working. Dont waste your time at this location.

This particular Uhaul store was extremely helpful with out move to Florida. Steve the manage was amazing and calming. Thank you for all your help.

Nic C. was the BOMB. After numerous hours of mishaps and online reservation mistakes and other dealers sending us all over gods country (which couldve been easily avoided had the business pick up their phone)- this saint of a worker promptly helped us and resolved our issue immediately. We decided to make an impromptu stop at this property due to needing to talk in person to someone about our problem of retaining a car hauler. He got on the phone and ended up putting himself out to pick up a trailor elsewhere so we could take his reserved one off his lot. After the problematic day with uhaul he took a massive weight off our frustrated shoulders. The establishment was clean and workers attentive. GO directly here for your moving needs. June 2nd, the extremely rude obese woman behind the counter made sure i didnt spend any money here. She was treating the person ahead of me like complete garbage, and all he was trying to do was spend money there on a rental. She then proceeded to tell him no cash payments unless he had exact change. What kind of business are you guys running?

I regularly rent trucks and trailers from Uhaul. The staff at this location usually seems put out to help. They get an attitude if you dont have a reservation, even when the equipment is available, and when it is not available they dont want to look up other locations. I just had to stand at the desk and find a store on my phone because the guy at the counter wouldnt look, he just sat there telling me that his stuff was booked.

Called them twice in the past two weeks to see if they sold and installed electronic brake controllers. Both times the lady on the phone said a technician would get back with me. Is it unreasonable to expect the courtesy of a call back? As someone whos worked with customers for 30+ years, I ask myself if they cant call me back for this, would I get a call back if I was to rent a vehicle and get a break down on the road? Ill look for other choices in the down river or Toledo area.

I cannot believe anyone would write a good review about the Monroe U-Haul! The local phone number was never answered in 8 days of phone calls. Always transferred to the scheduling dept which set me up for a hitch and wiring install on June 3rd. Never heard from U-Haul on the 3rd. Nobody around when I stopped to see what was going on. Called on the 5th and got transferred again. They set up the install for today. Took my car in and was told that they had never done my make and model (Lincoln MKC) Just got home from picking it up and they never installed the wiring harness that was sent with the hitch. Said they dont install that kind of a harness anymore? So why was it sent? Now I have a hitch with no harness. supposed to leave for vacation tomorrow but cant because I have no trailer lights. Garbage can overflowing in front of store along with two mattresses and other junk from a storage unit piled against the building! Dealt with U-Haul for years, but will never spend another dime here. Should be No stars!

Fast and easy needed a motorcycle trailer my bike broke down 2 miles from my house no way was I walking it. So rented a trailer for 15bucks cant beat it the staff was nice and friendly. I will be back.

Service obviously high on drugs.Show up to pick up my reservation and they cannot rent it out because the tail light doesn’t light. I ask if I can fix the light for them (assume only a lightbulb). Sorry sir we cannot fix these here.Never coming here again!!
