I know that covid has caused some problems with buying items but two days before pickup for a bike I was called and told that they had lost it in shipping. I dont think this is a coincidence and it kind of makes me mad that they didnt tell us about this sooner.

Needed spokes on rear wheel with trueing. Have had this done elsewhere for more money and 4 times the wait for completion. Dropped it off yesterday at 1:30 with a promise for today. Got a call at 5:30 yesterday it was ready. Amazing!!!

For a few years running, Ive brought pretty much every one of my high-end, performance bikes here for service. Theyve never once let me down. Craig, Chris, Vinnie and Joe are all accomplished mechanics, who have always been able to solve every problem Ive brought their way. And the problems only get harder as you get into the performance market (hydraulic disk brakes, electronic shifting, and more). So consider: they dont routinely sell bikes at my price point, but I routinely bring my bikes to their shop for service, instead of to the shops that Ive bought them at. I think that says it all. Now I just need to figure out a way to buy my next bike from them. ;)

Outstanding service, literally went in for a cabling job on my road bike at 11am and Chris called back by 3pm said it was ready, did execellent work, shifts perfectly .Best mechanic and service dept in the area, no nonsense service, fast courteous and friendly!

Their website allows you to rent bikes even though they haven’t been renting out bikes since Covid began. Wasted time and money driving here just to be told that they don’t rent. Refunded instantly but very poor communication on their website.

Joe and the team are great to work with, even during these unprecedented times. I ordered a bicycle for my wife and called for updates throughout the week. As the week went on I was receiving less and less communication on the status of my order (which was to be a surprise gift), and no one was answering the phones!I reached out on social media, explained the situation and within 10 minutes received a phone call from Joe, explaining the situation (he was alone in the shop that particular day) and I could pick up my new bike the following day. True to his word, I arrived when the shop opened the next day and my new Cannondale was ready. My wife was thrilled, THANK YOU!

A lot of attitude coupled with rushed and, sometimes, careless service. I am told this might have something to do with a spike in demand in this pandemic, but getting a lot of business should never be an excuse for delivering poor and extremely delayed service to customers. There are days when you call them all day without success. Another annoyance is, whether you have an appointment or not, you always end up spending a good chunk of your day waiting on line when you need service. Some other shops would kill for the traffic you are getting, so start acting like you value your customers’ business!

Great bike shop for kids bikes and also your higher-end bike. I bought a balance bike for my kid and also they serviced my road bike a couple times here. Chris took care of me and put tubeless tires on my road bike wheels. Awesome service and great prices as well!

Today was the last straw. Probably fine for basic repairs, and maybe they had a bad couple of days building my bike 2yrs ago, but the level of workmanship from their effort continues to unpleasantly surprise me with problems to this day. I wasnt going to say anything bad until today and ....today was the last straw. I discovered that they apparently routed the shift cable AROUND the hole that it was supposed to go THROUGH on the rear derailleur. Whats the big deal? Well it can get dislodged as it did on my ride and lose shifting ability. Didnt figure it out until I got home. Anybody with a sense of mechanical aptitude would have seen that the cable was not routed correctly (shame on me for not knowing to check). This isnt some esoteric groupset. Its an SRAM that is on 70pct of the bikes out there.To recap, they are a Giant dealer and didnt seem to know very well how to build up a Giant Anthem frame.1) they ordered the wrong rear axle2) bc of that they insisted for 2 days that my Giant bike didnt have boost 148 rear axle spacing (It did). They finally admitted to the mistake and then ordered the correct axle. (Keep in mind that I choose this shop bc they were a Giant dealer)3) 5 minutes into my first ride, the shifter came loose. No biggie. I take out my multitool and fix it easily.4) 15 minutes later the crank started coming loose!! They didnt torque it down properly. Fortunately I had a multitool that could tighten it down, but without enough torque, I still had to stop every 5 minutes to retighten it until I was able to limp home.

Mike helped us out for about an hour, educating us and making sure we found the right bikes for us. Weve since been back for tune ups and other accessory purchases. Super helpful and nice and always put the customer first. As bike newbies, Im glad Diamond Cycle is our go-to shop.

Showed up at store at 4pm multiple signs in windows said open till 5pm everyday . Knocked on door some guy walks up to door with food in his mouth saying they are closed . Im like its 4 oclock and he said that they are super busy and they are closed . I told him Im looking to buy a mountain bike . The store was filled with bicycles he told me that if i bought one it would not be ready for a week are you kidding me i guess they dont like money here i would not waist my time coming here again very rude and disrespectful. I will take my business elsewhere.

Diamond is a great local bike shop. Theyre not just in it to sell you something and never speak to you again. Their knowledgeable staff will help out and make tweaks on your bike as necessary to keep you happy and on the road. Ive bought more than one bike from Diamond in the past and will continue to buy bikes from them in the future.

I love this place. I bought a Brompton folding bike and they wouldnt let me leave before I totally understood all of its workings. I dont live nearby, so they even mailed me a few parts I ordered that I wasnt able to come by and pick up. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for quality products that are sold with a personal touch.

Maybe when things are normal this is a good place, but now they take your money, don’t deliver bikes that are in stock and will never answer a phone. You’ll be happier and less frustrated by going anywhere else.

Great experience at Diamond Cycle the other day. I have a high end road bike and am very particular about bike service. I was having an issue with a creaky bottom bracket. I brought my bike to two other authorized cannondale locations and the problem was not resolved. Chris did a great job of quickly putting my bike up on stand, diagnosing the problem, and fixing it on the spot. He also talked me off the ledge from making a much more expensive repair and offered a contingency repair plan in the event the fix wasnt effective. Two rides in, and my BB is whisper quiet again. I appreciate when service professionals are honest and try to save me money. Top notch service and attention. Will definitely return!

I am a Paralympic Hopeful in cycling and use a recumbent hand cycle... Chris is amazing and always helps me no matter the situation... he is very knowledgeable in his craft, and is always willing to think outside of the box to solve issues. He is very personable and loves what he does. Diamond Cycle is definitely the way to go! I have been dealing with Diamond Cycle for just over 2 years now and my experiences have been nothing short of awesome. Recently I have rented a bike from them for a biking trip, they were extremely helpful and very courteous. I look forward to the next time I come here, because it will be for purchasing a bike.

Bought my first mountain bike here back in 1988 and bought my second and current mtb here in 2017. Great staff, especially in the shop.I blew out my bottom bracket, shearing everything inside, and thought for sure my bike was going to be out of commission for a week to week and a half, but the guys in the shop fixed her in 20 minutes while I waited even though the store was crazy busy! They have made me a lifetime customer!

My 1st and only visit to this shop! Asked if I could see what bmx bikes they had in stock. I guess the older guy doesnt like his job, he was rude and very unprofessional. I wish I could give this place negative stars!!!!!

After bringing my bike to my L B S, the guy said he didnt want to do the work I wanted done, because it was to much trouble he said, Ill never go back again . I spoke to Vinny at Diamond cycle, brought my bike up to the shop and gave me an estimate in the morning and by the afternoon had my 7 speed cassette and new shiftier installed, at a great price by the way, Ill go back for my future bike repair needs .

They were prompt, personable, and knowledgeable. I went in because my back wheel was bent in a crash. They discounted the wheel for me as a starving student, and fixed my frozen back break for free. They did something else magical because my bike is now riding more smoothly than it did before it got beat up. Dont go anywhere else! These are your guys.

I have purchased 2 bikes from Diamond, and I have taken bikes there numerous times for service and repair. These guys have always treated me fairly, repaired my bike in a reasonable time period and offered good advice - on purchase and on repairs.I am sure you can buy bikes cheaper. But you cannot match the combination of advice, service and reliability that they offer. When you factor these items into the value equation, these guys come out as winners. I used to go to a place closer in town. Now I drive the extra distance because they go the extra distance.

Snapped a cable on the road and did not have the replacement and tools with me. Walked in and bike was fixed in 15 minutes. The mechanic also took care of my rear derailleur that was not shifting as smoothly as it should have. Price was honest considering my bike was taken care of right away. This was my first time at the shop.

Dont know what all the fuss is about. Ive been to all the bike shops (Martys, cyclecraft, Sussex cycles etc). This is the worst shop. 30min to find decent parking. I walked 1/4mile from car to shop just to walk right out. Im not sure about their service because I did not speak with anyone. I can tell you that the place is a mess. All the bikes are jammed together do to the lack of room. Almost impossible to remove without scratching another bike on top of that they were all really dusty. It needs to be more organized and professionally pleasing to the eye. They at least get 2stars for a good website. Go to cyclecraft instead. Youll see the difference. Thank me later.

The staff here are highly knowledgeable. I bought a Di2 groupset and had it installed on my road bike at Hilltop in Cranford, NJ, they installed it but it died after a couple of days and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. I finally took my bike to Diamond Cycles. Chris worked on it and got it up and running in a couple of hours! He did all the updates and was able to rule out what the problem was. He called Shimano to get a free replacement for one of the Di2 components. Chris is a Di2 expert. And it’s good to know that Diamond Cycles is one of the few Shimano Service Centers in NJ.

My wife and I casually walked into the shop just to take a look around. Since we just bought our first home, moving out of our 1 bedroom apartment - we thought we could finally make good on getting some bikes. Although we werent going to buy anything at the moment, that quickly changed once we began speaking with Craig. He was very welcoming; and knowledgeable about all things cycling. He took time to learn of our needs and accurately matched us up with bikes that would fit our lifestyle. Now I must admit, I am not a spendthrift; and I definitely gawked at paying $760 for 2 bikes - with Walmart selling them at $150 each. However, Ive also learned that you get what you pay for. And knowing that we would be getting a great bike and great service, we made our purchase. Craig even helped us get our bikes home by lending us a bike rack. Where else can you get this level of service? And to top it all off, he even invited us to their Sunday ride alongs. This was an amazing experience; and since then, my wife and I have been riding every day! We are definitely customers for life!

My wife and I were interested in buying a couple of Brompton folding bikes. Brompton’s are usually ordered be-spoke and as there are many choices in configuration, I was looking for dealer who could assist in the ordering process as well as the post purchase maintenance.I found Diamond Cycle on Brompton’s list of authorized dealers and after speaking with Craig who is a Brompton expert and rider, we decided to order the bikes and that this was the shop we wanted to deal with.Craig let us test ride several times to be sure we made the right choice in model. In the whole process there was never any sales pressure and Craig was great about making several changes after the initial order was put through.On picking up the bikes they were tuned and set up and the staff there made sure that we understood how to properly fold and unfold the bikes. After riding the bike a couple of times I found that I needed a higher seat post and again Craig was cool with making any changes needed.The shop is a full service well stocked bike store that has been there for around 100 years.If you’re looking for a Brompton I would highly recommend them. I’m very happy with my choice of both bike and bike shop.
