Ken the owner is super friendly and helpful. He cleaned up and tuned my grandmothers ukulele and taught me all the ins and outs while purchasing one for my boyfriend. The shop has a great vibe filled with guitars, drums, amps and so much more. Ken does repairs and even offers music lessons!This is the best place for all your music needs.

This is a store that has been needed in Montclair and the surrounding community for some time. The owners, Ken and Joe, are friendly and knowledgeable. They always have fantastic instruments and accessories carefully selected to fit any budget and need from gigging pros to beginners. There is always a super-friendly vibe in the shop that needs to be experienced. They run a monthly open mic that is always a good time. Support this store it is unequivocally the best shop in Montclair.

Cool Cat has amazing inventory! Locals looking to buy a new guitar or bass need look no further. They have a wide variety of instruments from high-value to high-ticket. Some cool vintage stuff too! They have a great selection of pedals and amplifiers. The owners were working when I stopped in and they were a pleasure to chat with. The store had a great atmosphere and I could tell they really care. I’m so glad this guitar shop is in Montclair!

Really cool shop on Bloomfield ave in Montclair. The selection is what drew me in, there is a great selection of guitars from classic semi hollows to unique body types and rare colors, also selling a variety of pedals and overall good value. Happy to see such a cool shop pop up.

Wonderful place with guitar in all ranges in price. Plenty of amps to create your sound. The staff is awesome and the my new teacher is patient with my lack of tone, rhythm, and muscle memory!.The just did a repair on my Stratocaster and can not be happier with the work or price!They are not your big box store, however there service is top notch. I told them I was in the market for a nice tube vintage acoustic amp, I gave them a price range and they are on the hunt. Love it.Pop in they have open Mik nights and special events in the store.
