Most likely the best guitar center Ive been to. Very clean, very good vibes. Came to pick up an online order. Also purchased a strap for my new acoustic. It was a younger smaller, skinny guy that helped me out. Not to be mean, just describing because I forgot his name but wish I remembered because his customer service was awesome. Definitely will come back here.

Didn’t find what I was looking for and they said they ordered those items and to go back in a couple of days, I got back and they said same thing. As a guitar lover and player, is nice to go there and just look around, but any of guitars center stores will sell you displayed guitars as newTo my opinion, them all are used unless they have some more in boxI do not like

Called to see what was needed to resale bass, electric guitar, & ukuleleDrove over and associate went to talk with management and was told I needed to be there 1hour and 15 minuets before closing.because it’s near closing time and too much paperwork.???Please let customers know of your lazy mans time not to bring equipment to get pricing for resale please.

I was trying to find a new bass and without asking, the manager came up to me and helped me out personally and showed me lots of different basses and really got on a friendly level with me. Another staff helped me with my things and when I had questions he gave me his thoughts and answered my questions thoroughly. He was there to help me for the past two hours and was very understanding. Not to mention that the instruments were high quality. 15/10 loved the store so much

I was the only customer in the counter,waiting and waiting. 3 of the Guitar members,workers, not one of them acknowledged my presence. I ask I question,the sales representative he didnt know the answer ofa simple microphone adapter. Ill never do my bussines in this place.

Top notch service from literally everyone as soon as I walked in, but especially from Javier and Michael.Went in to buy a Concert Ukulele and also wanted to change the strings for an ascending tuning rather than the normal reentrant.Came in right at open, Javier let me take my time selecting, I decided on a Cordoba. When I purchased the brand new ukulele tho, I opened it right there and right away, both of us noticed the color was way different from the one on display that I was testing out. He put everything down to make sure I got the one I wanted, which was much appreciated.Later, Michael very easily and quickly switched out the strings for me and even showed me how it was done. Gave me a good deal too since I was only changing one string.Super friendly and extremely helpful. Hadnt been to Guitar Center in years, and I only just happened to be in this area, but Im real glad this is the GC I chose.

I have been to this location a few times, and each time, I have been treated with excellent customer service. They have been taking precautions in order to provide a safe environment for all customers during this pandemic.My family and I recently had a situation with an exchange that we needed to have done. The store’s manager helped us minutes after we walked in, in order to assure that we were being attended. My family and I were satisfied with our in store experience and happy that we were able to exchange our guitar. Amazing customer service and staff!

Great safety measures during Covid-19. Acoustic Guitar selection is running a bit low, probably increased purchases during the pandemic from people staying at home looking for a new hobby. Overall great experience however, parking is usually available, and very good service. Check online or call before going if you want to know if a specific model is in stock.

Great service from Jay and Michael. Both gave me great input with todays purchase. Not only did they make sure I was taken care of but made sure to fully have a good trial with PA speakers and go as loud as I pleased to get that full experience before I buy and make a comfortable purchase. I was looking into a 15 PA speaker with Bluetooth capabilities and the EV ZLX 15BT was exactly what I wanted. Thanks a lot Guitar Center staff @ Monterey Park 👍.

I go for everything guitar related. This GC is ok for what I need, the little things, picks, straps, pegs, cables, stands, etc. For guitar purchases, Ill check the store first, then Ill visit the website. I would have given 5 stars except for the main reason... Their selection of guitar strings. For electrics, I use ghs boomers... They dont have my set. Acoustics... Only one brand, DAddario for 12 strings and thats not what I was looking for. Seems Ernie ball is the only fully stocked brand. Anywho, employees are nice, knowledgeable, the store is clean.

Great place, went in simply to identify a guitar I had and they were extremely helpful with it and never pressured me to even buy anything, they quickly identified it and Im even going to get the guitar repaired in the future here. Definitely recommend.

Please dont buy anything from Guitar Center. I recently purchased a portable PA System for $992. It took 4 cancellations, several phone calls with customer service, three pending charges to my card, my money wasnt available for 5 days, several emails with manager, complain to BBB, and a trip to Guitar Center. I finally gave up returned the speaker and bought it straight from manufacture. I recommend to the same, also do a complain to Better Business Bureau.

This location is the BEST! Jordan, the store manager is amazing and the whole team is so helpful and knowledgeable. Every time we have gone it has been really busy and each associate we have worked with gave us their full attention and helped us get exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend this location!

Monterey Park store is slow due to understaffing. Manager isnt honest trying to sell used gear in great condition as new to make a profit. Wow! Would rather shop online once the gear is checked out. Two out of two stores are not worth the time.

First of all the location for this guitar center is great, closest one to me from any musical instrument store.Second I had three guitars set up to D # and they are all staying in tune.I took in a JACKSON SOLOIST GREEN CRACKLE and a Jackson Warrior which I got back the same day I took them in !!!Phenomenal turn around time.Third Darryl and Michael who are the Guitar techs who worked on all three of my guitars are awesome and cool dudes !!If you need your guitars worked on and if this location is close to you take them there.

There open!!! They were set to permanently close!!! But got bankruptcy protection!!! So they will be around for a while!!! I bought a guitar strap with locks built in only nineteen dollars!!! Good service great selection!!!!

I freaking love this Guitar center!!! Every time that I have been there the staff is super cool and big time friendly. All the staff is down to earth and I always end up laughing and joking with them. They always get me the best deal to and if I have to return something they do it right away. Noe is the man!!! He always has a great attitude and he always gets me the best deal possible, if you go in ask for him! Also, Marvin is another great staff member and he is a great guy who will help you out with all kinds of patience. If you ever need to go to a guitar center go to this one you wont regret it. This is my go to Guitar center and even if I moved far from monterey park I would still take the drive to go here. They just helped me get a new fender professional jazz bass in black so Im crazy stoked about it. You need to check this place out for music instruments!!!!

Truly a phenomenal example of the guitar center brand at its best.The staff is attentive and courteous as well as friendly and informative and theres no shortage of smiles on any day of the week.The display instruments are by far my favorite part at this store as they have nearly everything set up for display. There were very few items on a shelf that I could not try for myself on the floor and thats gotta one of the best parts about the organization in general so to see it taken to such a high caliber here is amazing.If you havent been yet then stop by next time youre near the mall. You wont be disappointed.

Wow what a great experience this place was off the wall. I went to purchase a electric guitar for my 3 yr old grandson who loves to ROCK TO KISS .he loved it.we also connected the amp and guitar at home and boy he loves it. The manager at guitar center and employees were very nice respectful attended to all our questions. And will continue to buy items here. Thanks guitar center

Be nice to get some information on my order. Called this store twice one the 9th during store hours got hung up once second time call cancelled because I was left on hold too long. Then called the 10th and left an email and nobody got back to me. I had a recent order with another store canceled because they failed to communicate my used order was not in inventory and stolen now this store is about to have the same issue with failing to communicate. Really upset and apparently people not answering phones has been a problem even before the pandemic With this store so there should be no excuse. Was able to call general customer service online and get all the information I needed for my order. However update 24 hours later the 11th Monterey park store still hasn’t answered my call or my email I sent a day ago so I forwarded this issue to customer service so others with the same issue can get a resolution hopefully. If you can’t answer calls or emails you shouldn’t be operating.

There to sell my guitar and amp. The clerks there are friendly enough, and gave me a quote on the guitar and amp, both of which are in relatively fine condition.However, halfway through the transaction, the manager intervened (While hiding his visage behind closed bathroom stalls, I would suspect, since he refused to even present himself before us), and basically shut down the entire transaction, because the amp was missing a knob, and the guitar had a chip.Left and went to another guitar center. Way more professional crew, took value off for the damage and repairing costs, which seems way more reasonable to me than refusing to buy it completely.I cant say much about the rest of the store, but regarding customer service, this is far from the best.
