A great draw for moving here! Lots of booths, we scored great organic veggies, candles, coffee cake and the most beautiful magnolia wreath for our front door. This will be a regular place to visit
Got what I needed. All the fresh produce I was looking for was not available. I was too late in the season.
Great curb market with a wide variety of goods and fresh vegetables.
I love to visit the curb market to patronize with our creative, hard working local farmers and vendors.
Initial Vendor was quite sarcastic! This particular item very easily could have been purchased MUCH less from competitors. Second Vendor very professional, helpful and accomodating. Thanks VERY MUCH 2nd Vendor!
I love the smell of fresh picked home grown veggies and the awesome homemade fried pies. Been going there since I was a little girl.
This is the kind of farmers market I like. Farmers and vendors selling their LOCAL products. Of course there are always some things shipped in but Im happy I went to this place. It will be my go to for local produce and meat.
Workers are always friendly and go out of the way to help you
Very nice market with friendly vendors.
All vendors are friendly and very knowledgeable about their individual products. If you are looking for cut collards, fresh cakes, cookie, jams/jelly, hot peppers/sauce, pies, birthday gifts, and in season vegetables; Madison Avenue Curb Market is your place. On Saturday morning get there early; some vendor sell out quickly because is regulars know exactly what we want and who has it. Nice place to come and shop and look at all if the booths. Soaps, teas, kitchen utensils, hair accessories - its at this market. If you need a get away check them out on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. You will love it.
I absolutely love this place. I go almost every Saturday to buy local eggs, veggies, fruit, grass-fed meats, breads, herbs, etc. Nice variety. If locally grown is important to you, you shoukd ask each vendor. Even so Id rather buy from a local vendor than a big chain grocery store.
Lots of produce and baked and canned goods. A few craft sellers. Theres not as many sellers yet as normal but still quite a few.
Always Up and willing to sell
This was my first time in this market and I was pleased with some of the vendors. Some of the vendors prices were a bit pricey. Overall I enjoyed the trip ☺
My friend took me there. We had a wonderful time! Beautiful fruits & vegetables. Someone there had a booth that sold homemade lotions & bar soap.
Best veggies!
I went on a Tuesday. Very few vendors. Vendors didnt wear masks. The few customers there did.
Love her soap
Always satified
All of the booth owners were friendly and had great selections of fruits, veggies and other special finds. The Lavender Pig is AMAZING for soaps and lotions👍🏾
Great produce, homemade cakes and pies, soups, stews, and beautiful plants and cut flowers. Most everything is locally grown if unsure ask you will be pleasantly surprised at the honest answer. Its fun meeting the growers and farmers of all this merchandise and having them share their stories and family.
Quality Products
Not many vendors there today. Prices higher than coliseum blvd. If have voucher most vendors dont accept them
As always a easy accessible super clean marketFolks are as home grown as what they are sellingI go often
Not many vendors; however, the cakes were good. Also bought a basket of plums
Huge variety of fruits, vegetables, canned and baked goods. Produce is wonderful; fresh and wow is it good. We got there late and some vendors were packing up to leave, so, I am gong back EARLY on Tuesday morning to get some watermelon and more super good plums. Take cash. A few vendors take ATM, but majority dont. This market will not disappoint.
The curb market was great as usual. Very helpful and friendly vendors. I enjoy going there.
I was intrigued by this place. I would like to return there soon. I bought homemade vegetable soup. Delicious!
Prices on produce much cheaper than grocery stores with better quality. Vendors are very friendly and helpful. Nice place to visit.
Show up early because the market starts clearing out around noon. Good selection and quality produce. You will get some sideways glances if you are heavily tatooed but everyone was nice.
Best place in Montgomery for fresh vegetables! Love Popwells! Buy local!
From delicious fruits, veges, and herbs (including herbal teas and salves) to ice cream, and cakes. Dolls, and lovely homemade soaps and lotions, and beautiful jewelry; this place is wonderful!!!
Every time I come here I have a great customer service experience. Even when they dont have what Im looking for they are nice and make suggestions. I especially recommend Wild Yeast Kitchen, the southern herbalist, and Debras Homemade meals.
Prices are not competitive. All vendors prices are the same. Maybe they should consider lowering their prices on some items. And sell more of that product. It seems they have discussed the price on all fruit and vegetables.
Love all the polite venders and fresh vegetable also arts & crafts also baked goods..👍
Best tomatoes in town from Maddox farm.
Mrs. Debra was very nice. Mrs. Debra had a variety of soups and cakes.
Great market. Fresh produce. Wonderful baked products. A gem in Montgomery
Very fresh veggies and some really tasty homemade jams cakes pies could gain weight just looking
Been going here since I was a little girl. Great local produce. Love the Maddoxs, and the curb market!
Although it isnt into full season, the fruits & vegetables looked fantastic. The pies, cookies, and cakes were mouth watering. In fact, got 2 pies. That was my first time; Ill definitely be going back.
Debras Lunch To Go is the best ever!
Extremely great experience. My first time. Really nice people
Always have fresh veggies and fruits and I love their homemade. Always friendly
Love it, they didnt have as much of a variety as they normally do. What they had was good.
I will say that I dearly love all sorts of farmers markets right off the top. I visited the Montgomery Curb Market a couple of times while visiting family; one of my aunts took me by to get field peas which were in season at the time since they can be really hard to find. It felt like a miniature version of the big shedded state farmers market outside Atlanta, or the one near Asheville NC with a roof and permanent stalls for vendors. while I was there on a Tuesday which tends to be a little slower, there was a very nice variety of local August produce including a variety of shelled field peas, the old fashioned oblong watermelons, lots of tomatoes and squash. There were also a number of bakery stalls with cakes (caramel and strawberry jumped out) and lunch stalls with hot food to go for the state government employees nearby. I also saw a semi honor system grass fed beef stand and a lot of canned products which I would have love to have been able to try. These kinds of markets are really unsung heroes of local food systems and whether its a huge place like the one in Atlanta or a destination like Philadelphias Reading Terminal Market, they should be treasured and patronized.
It was hot people wore mask but for me they were not maintaining proper distance not all the booth was set up but the ones there had fresh looking fruit and vegetables
It is an excellent farmers market. Most everything grown and picked by the people selling the produce. An extremely friendly and family orientated place to visit. I trust it the most in Montgomery Alabama.
What a great selection of fresh vegetables cakes jams cream peas and okra were tasty.
Most baked goods were very pricey, the only local vendors that grew their vegetables were reasonably priced like collards, otherwise they are from big farms in South Florida. Shout out to the tea man, James and fresh, local herbs.
The sellers were all very nice. I enjoyed the atmosphere because it reminded me of my grandmother from Columbiana.
Always good.
We were a little late but still got some nice vegetables.
Love the variety of vendors but especially love Debras lunch-to-go. Best chicken and dumplings ever!
This is the best farmers market. Go early for best pickings. It was early but I got chicken and dumplings, campstew that I had for lunch and dinner later.
Best place in town to get produce. A classic place for the city, it needs to be supported as much as possible, here you can by products from local growers, its great
Good fresh vegetables. Not what it used to be. I miss some of the older vendors. Still have to get some peaches maybe next week.
Excellent choice of fresh vegetables!
Today they had a good selection of fresh vegetables and greens. Some vendors have awesome cake selections.
Love this place, they had everything l needed and then some 😃
Good cakes and veggies
Saturday is a great time to find fresh produce. This is a gem of Montgomery.
Old timey market, lots of good stuff
Love getting organic peanuts here.
I literally have passed this place everyday for the last 10 years and never knew it existed. THEN, one day, I decided to stop in the hope of finding soap and saw that they have the same items I was getting in Clanton or at Flea Markets on the way to the beach. The vendors have fruits, vegetables, soup, flowers, soaps, lotions, etc. I think some of the stuff is subpar and poorly marketed but they are worth giving a shot if you want fresh produce. My main item is soap by the Lavender Pig.
Sue Clecker cakes are the very best! So are all of her other products. So friendly too!
Nice selection of produce on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The bread sold on Saturdays is delicious!
Handicap parking too far from building
The best home made cooked food in the Tri County area. Wonderful sweets.
Good food and decent prices.
Fresh fruit and very friendly service!
Old fashioned, open-air curb market for local produce, plants, products, and baked goods. Only open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings until about noon.
