Excellent customer service! I needed help to get some poplar shelving boards for a project and Thomas stopped what he was doing with a forklift and helped me out. He helped cut the boards to my dimensions and then rapped them so I could easily transport them. It slowed his day down but it made mine! Thanks so much Thomas for an excellent customer service experience.

Had to replace a chain on my chainsaw. Got help right away. Had to return that chain and get another. The exchange was easy breezy.

Great store all around. Has great inventory for a not so big hardware store. Love the feel I get when coming here. Staff is always kind. Everytime am in the area I have to stop by. Always find something I need or gotta have heat this location.

Go there about once every couple weeks and get 3 propane tanks and a few other things. Today we was told only 2 tanks per customer. So we will now go else where to get our 3 tanks when we go shopping. Not to friendly any more once they get to know you I guess.

Johnson Lumber is a very well stock hardware store. They have expanded over the years to incide one of the largest supply of nuts, bolts, screws, snd all kinds of fastenings a peron would want. The items they carry range from outdoor tool and garden supplies, electrical, paint, household cleaning products, wood stains, hoses, and a nice supply of quality grills and Traegar smokers and all the gear and flavored pellets to go with it. And many other useful items besides a full service lumber yard. What I like most is they dont skip on workers, and every one of them knows their stock and have plenty of ideas. Bottom line is its the first place I go to look for things and I usually dont hVe to go any further. Whats better than that!

This is a great hardware store and lumber yard. I find it more convenient many times than going to the big box type stores. This is especially true if I have only a few items to pickup quickly. Lastly, their staff seems more knowledgeable, available, friendly, and generally helpful.

Knowledgeable, friendly helpers, a good variety of cleaning,gardening and painting supplies plus clothing for working appropriate to the season. Canning items,hardware and tools including ladders. Theres more but you get the idea. This is the way it should be.

I much prefer to support Ace over big box stores, and for the most part they have everything I need. My only compliant about this location is that the staff are less than knowledgeable about product, and not very helpful. This is a minor complaint though as none of the big box stores have very helpful or knowledgeable staff either, just that I am used to Aces having better customer service than this one.

I LOVE JOHNSON LUMBER/ACE HARDWARE OF MORGAN HILL, ....One of the last small town treasures of Morgan Hill, staff really cares about the customers and goes the extra mile to make sure you get what you need.......UNLIKE the big box hardware store in Morgan Hill whos employees just say Oh, we dont have those when they REALLY ....should help you find what you are looking for, and then you end up wandering around the store for a half an hour and then you finally find the item you were looking for that they said they dont even have, ......Johnsons is small and simple and has always had whatever it was I went there looking for, I drive a little farther to go to Johnsons rather than the big ugly Box Store in Morgan Hill

Local store close to house that I go to when I need something quick. Their items are nice quality, but you will pay more for almost anything in store from the big box stores. Also like to support the local community stores in town.

Friendly and knowledgeable people, great selection of products. Thorough selection of hardware (nuts bolts etc.). Since OSH went out of business, this is one of the few places (in my area) that can legitimately fill the gap. FWIW, I have been to multiple Ace Hardware stores on the west coast, and for the most part they are consistently well stocked and staffed by quality and knowledgeable personnel. Your experience may be different, but I have for the most part been happy with this company and their franchisees.

Its great that they always have somebody who knows the stock ready to take you to just what you want. And, they are great at describing how to do things. For example, I wanted to hang tools on my garage wall just over the work bench. Years ago I had struggled putting up a peg board, finding all the right materials, etc. I went online and found a $128 solution at A _ _ zon that would be easy to put up, but I didnt want to pay that much. One of the handymen at Johnson Hardware showed me just what I needed. I think it cost me about $20 for everything including the peg board. Theyre great!

The people here are SO helpful. I asked someone at the front where I could find mason jars. She told me the aisle and by the time I got there, there was another employee waiting for me to show me exactly where they were.

Great place to shop, a little more $$ than the box stores, but the customer service is worth it.

I love this store. They will sell wire fencing by the foot, so you can by 5 feet if that is all you need, instead of buying the entire 50 foot roll. It is hard to find service like that.

Even though they are more expensive than the bigger stores, its worth it to make sure your getting the item you need and not having to chase someone down just for a question. Johnsons Ace Hardware used to be my go-to place for building materials. But lately they are becoming just like Home Despot and Lows. I went in to get some concrete blocks, which Ive bought there before. They no longer carry them, and recommended that I try the M.H. Rockery!?!? I also needed some lumber, but figured screw it, Ill just bite the bullet and go to Lows in Gilroy.
