People there are really nice. The prices are only a tad higher than amazon. I would recommend. Pulling out of their parking lot is difficult a t times also the electric guitar section could be a little more diverse. I bought a Jazzmaster off of them for a good deal and they let you try anything you want before buying. They were also more than happy to lend me use of their amps and picks. I just had a guitar set up there and it plays just like I wanted it to. Go check them out if you are in the market for new gear.

Most big items such as guitars, amps and stage gear is already priced to match big online retailers like Musicians Friend... that is hard to do for a smaller store, but we do our best to stay competitive. We sell fretted instrument strings at the manufacturer suggested retail price, and offer buy one get one free. that breaks down to pretty darn close to the big online retailers.Most importantly, we strive to offer great customer service. We are reasonable folks, if there is ever a problem with any of our products or services, just come in and talk with us. We want you to be happy.

I found the guitar my daughter wanted at ob fawleys in sabraton wv the action was incredibly.high so I took it in for adjustments which was free there when you buy a guitar and know I know why its free because they really didnt do anything to it at all.4 days it was there my recommendation is if you purchase a guitar at ob fawleys in sabraton take it somewhere else to be set up there service there is very poor

Dealt with Fawley’s over 50 years ago when I was in the band. Bought instruments there and took lessons. Always a great experience. Recently started playing again and went to the Sabraton store. Same great service and fantastic staff!

The staff here - always helpful. Its only four stars bc I wish they were able to have a larger selection of guitars, amps and effects on hand. That isnt their bread and butter, but theyre a valuable shop for our community for other reasons (lessons, marching band, etc)

I had never been before I took my brother there, and I was very impressed by how helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable they were. Even when he needed help in the used section they were still the same as if we were looking at a 2,000 guitar. I would highly recommend taking the time to stop in. Fawleys has been good to me, overall. I wanted a guitar that they didnt carry, and they went out of their way to find it for me. Despite having a similar model hanging on their wall. On top of that, they let me make payments on it!.Im a pretty regular customer in their shop, and the front desk guys are always friendly and helpful. I was new to guitar when I first started coming in there, and these fellas had to answer a lot of novice questions. They did so without making me feel like a novice. Ive had guitars rebuilt with them, and the price is reasonable, and the repairs were done far quicker than I had expected. I would give them 5 stars of not for one thing, selling guitars to them. Get ready to have the pants beat off of you when you bring in a used instrument. They offer about 20% of its worth. Outside of that, I love doing business with these guys.

Good place, selection is a bit limited, but thats just due to the nature of a small music business and not a Guitar Center. However what you do get is people who actually know what theyre talking about and arent just disinterested teenagers out to make a dollar. I definitely will continue to go here for my guitar needs.

Been there on a few occasions and mostly dealt with Tim (whom I thought was the owner). But recently went to inquire about some panels for drum enclosures. When hearing the request, one counterman swiftly disappeared and left me there to wait 20 minutes for the other guy. (No problem there). So when the guys calls me back on Monday with a nothing available result, I pull up the parts and part numbers on Google in seconds from the same manufacturer he was dealing with. In short, I am told to just order them online.. THE PURPOSE, was to support a local small business. I guess if something takes 10 minutes of research its not worth their time. Sorry to bad review another small business, but that was kind of rediculous. I thought GOING THE EXTRA MILE is what small businesses do

Music stores have changed a lot in my lifetime. Most have turned into specialist strip-mall slots, but Fawleys has managed to maintain the service of old with the options of new.Most of the in-house instruments are guitars, but they can not only order anything else you seek, but then fine-tune it to be sure that you can play it well immediately.There are numerous practice rooms, with lessons available for almost any instrument. Plenty of auxilliary equipment too - stands, mics, mixers, etc.Not sure exactly what you need? Talk to the very helpful staff. If youre still unsure, talk to Casey, hell treat you right.

Could use some new flooring and a fresh coat of paint, but geez who wants to take all that stuff off of the walls?Anyway, its the go to place for all your music needs. You wont go wrong at Fawleys.

I just recently moved to Morgantown and wanted to check out Fawley Music. When I walked in there wasnt anyone around, which happens, so I assumed people were busy. As I was browsing someone eventually came out but looked busy kind of just looking at a guitar behind the counter. I kept browsing and another worker came out just to talk to the other. I was the only customer and no one ever acknowledged me. I browsed the whole store. More customers came in and were greeted when the workers were available. They made it a point to go seek them out but never came and said a word to me. One worker came out of the back, looked me in the eye and ignored me as I acknowledged them. We were right next to each other. Everyone else was being helped but I felt a little isolated. I was in the store for about a half an hour. I know I didnt make much of an attempt myself but having worked in music shops (and other public facing positions) I know to at least greet customers. I was interested in two amps and a guitar but will be patient until I go somewhere else. This may seem trivial to some but not to me.

Theyre great people, do excellent service, and for a fairly low price. I took one of my guitars there to get it worked on, and they spent quite a lot of time on it, and charged me $20 + a set of strings. To compare, I took another of my guitars to a shop in Clarksburg and they charged $80 to fix a guitar that required less work. Fawley Music is top notch.

Fair prices comparable to anything youll find online and a friendly staff. Cons: Not many electric guitar brands offered, but the Fender selection they have is good.

Ive been going to Fawley Music since I was in 6 grade. They have always been clutch for musicians in North Central WV. Percussion, Strings and traditional Band equipment they got it.

Amazing store. Once I needed something for a school project and I was working on making an instrument myself, and the man at Fawleys helped me and talked to me for about an hour! You dont get that kind of amazing service anywhere else. I have been shopping here for a long time, and I will continue to. My only issue is with the site. I wish it would have some form of showing inventory and prices, because it is annoying to have to go to the store without knowing what youre getting.Edit: Added a star because their site has the information now.

Have purchased several items over the years and never had a problem with them. Service can be spotty at times but I usually know exactly what I need before buying. As a ukulele player, they easily have the best selection around, far better than GC. They will always be my first choice when it comes to uke products.

I have been a loyal customer for MANY years ( 19 and counting). They have always given me the best service I could ever ask . Their employees arent just counter staff they are accomplished musicians themselves. Tell them what you need and they will make it happen to fit your budget! Kudos to Fawleys, its the ONLY place I go when I need anything... PA, Lighting, Instruments for both personal and school use. In a nutshell, FAWLEYS ROCKS!

Over the course of seven years, I never get a correct answer, you still charge double for a set of strings forcing people to do your buy one get one, and it seems nobody there can follow simple instructions and, once again, cant answer a simple question. Be grateful you are the only music shop left in Morgantown.
