It looks pretty, but prices are absolutely ridiculous. Regular coldcuts can go start at $11/lb, where you can go to pretty much any other store for half the price.

A lot of ready made foods. Prices between Shop Rite and Whole foods

I had a return to make but as Kings surprises people in many ways like they’re shockingly high prices they also don’t allow returns to restrict COVID exposure and when I asked to speak to the manager Pete Gardner I was informed he was currently out as he has COVID so how can a store let someone with COVID work but won’t take an item to reduce COVID contamination?

The goat of all shopping marts...they got it all and its fresh. This is my spot!! The fruit and veggies look amazing!!! The entire store is clean. CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Kings supermarkets. Its the place to go for prepared meals. They are also good for hard to get items.

They have some items priced higher than wholefoods, but theyre always stocked on some of my favorite items like Daves bagels, which wholefoods seems to always run out of. And this is the only place I find sulfite-free wine on occasion so thats also a plus

Super market is great but super pricey as well

I hate to have to write a negative review but, tonight, I went to Kings at 8 PM not knowing that they have new hours. The most obnoxious man, Jim, was literally standing in the exit door, clearly unconcerned about social distancing, ushering people out. When I tried to get in he was so incredibly abrasive. I said “I’m sorry I didn’t know you closed at eight” and he was so incredibly rude. Kings is the most expensive grocery store in town. Maybe incorrectly, but you do expect them to be at least friendly in exchange for their high prices. Whole Foods is nicer and cheaper but they didn’t have scallions. So I thought I would simply stop by and get them Kings. Never again. It’s not worth it. During the last two weeks it seems people have gone out of their way to be considerate and kind. This guy has some serious issues. He doesn’t belong near people. Especially 1 foot away at the exit door. Sad.

Fast in and out

Great first experience, but pricey!The supermarket is in a large plaza with other local shops. This place seems to be the only game in the area so it has the convenience factor that draws in the locals.The produce is fresh, the workers are friendly, and the crowd is thin making it easy to walk about and look at the options.I had stopped in for some party snacks and found them with ease. I also needed some mint which was not available on the shelf despite having a sign displayed. A nearby worker noticed my confusion and immediately asked me if I could use any assistance. I explained that I was in search of mint and he was able to help me out by looking in the back and coming out with a bundle! The only thing I couldnt find was some elderflower mixer, but I spoke with the manager and he said hell be on the look out for it in their next shipment.The lines are short and there are plenty of workers on the floor to help you out. They also have a flower shop and a coffee bar - so can get a lot done in one stop.The prices are steep so wouldnt come here for a large haul, but definitely a spot for a quick run for odds and ends.

Best of the Kings locations. Morristown is not as large as some of the others, but the best deli of all, with a LOT of fresh made sandwiches and prepared meals. A lot of rich & snooty clientele, but at the prices Kings charges, you gotta have money to shop here. Small parking lot, but its all theirs so thats good. A cop directs traffic during the busy afternoon.Great bakery section too, I try to avoid it for the calories, but no other location has all of their selection.I have to say, most of the staff looks like they would rather be anywhere else but there, but they are never rude, and the deli guys rock making all that food, so Im sure theres a story in there somewhere. ;-)Anyway, other grocery stores are good for the staples at lower prices, but few can offer the prepared meals and really tasty sandwiches of Morristown Kings.

I understand that with all that’s going on with the virus that some groceries workers can be stressed out. Ok so I’m helping my elderly friends do their shopping for them and they wanted me to go to Kings in Morristown I don’t usually go there because I feel that the prices are a little high. On the list Chocolate Cream pie I asked the the guy behind the bakery counter where I would find it and needless to say he was quite rude. At a time where most are not working he should appreciate that he is and be kind to his customers. I told my friends about him and they said “oh, I know he’s always that way”

I have been going to Kings in Morristown since I was a kid ( since the store first opened ), and other than the Kings location in Mendham, no other market can compare .. Morristown has the best produce ( this coming from a kale fanatic ) and the entire experience is comfortable -- the cashiers are a delight to chat with … If there is one thing in life you should not skimp on or take short-cuts with, it is food .. Kings Morristown is the best … period ...

Good quality, great produce and fresh fish, gourmet and regular food items. Kings has a high end reputation ($$$) but you get what you pay for. And, when their weekly sale flyer comes out, they have top notch products at very reasonable prices, so you can always do well if youre careful.

Went in here for the first time last night. Main reason I went here is because they are open til 11... later then the other grocery stores in the area and needed something to eat after I got our of the gym. When I went inside, I was pleasantly surprised! The store is quite clean and well kept. I noticed that the food prices were a little bit higher, but they do have some really good sales.Their meat/produce look amazing. Got some Grapes and the roommates and I ate a whole bunch when I got home. They were SO good. When I told them I went to Kings, they that the grapes were too good to be from our usual grocery store. They knew it right away that the fruit was of a higher quality. Cant wait to cook my steak tonight!Def recommended and I will def go back.Super pumped to eat that steak tonight.

I went in to this store today and she thretend to throw us out because we didnt have a mask but i have asthma and its its not allowed to to ask someone to put a mask on if they have a medical condition that we dont have to wear on.

Great selection of prepared foods and specialty meats and cheeses, which is a good compliment to the whole foods and shop rite here in Morristown. They always have samples available to try which is a nice touch. The only negative is the price, which is a bit higher than the other markets in town.

This supermarket is a small business version of Wegmans, Great prepared food excellent produce, Amazing overall quality but a bit pricey; even for this area.

The store is well stocked and organized and not big. Personally, I dislike large markets.. Most of the cashiers are very nice and become familiar. Kings carries Bell and Even Chicken which is hard to find. But, I agree with the other reviewers. Even everyday items that you can get anywhere are generally priced much higher. Only when products are on sale will the price begin to compare to other supermarkets. For that reason I try not to do a full shop here. Another complaint I have is that the store manager is unable or unwilling to bring a product back when it is no longer carried. I will keep returning to Kings because of its size, chicken and convenient location.

So this was the first time I went to Kings after relocating to Morristown. Those who are aware of Kroger knows how awesome Kroger. Being a Tennessian I missed Kroger so much. But kings has fulfilled that. Its so cozy with closely packed groceries and with awesome service. Would I go there for next time? Hell yeah I will . I just love this place. Kudos to the management and crew working there!!

HIGH PRICED! Almost every item is five dollars. fruit 3.99- a pound, pies $16.99, bakery way overpriced. what you get in other stores for 3- is 6- here. the entire meat area STINKS like rotted dead things! Fish is usually fresh and reasonable. Some sale items are decent buys. Avoid for any big shopping trip. One good thing is the staff is very pleasant!

Staff is rude and unhelpful. Bakery goods are often stale, expired goods in refrigerators, and vegetables are subpar. Not worth the price or attitude in the morning.

Kings is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for and sometimes they have great sales. Everything is very high quality. Their produce is always excellent and the fruit doesnt bruise and rot while waiting for it to ripen (unlike when I buy from some other stores). The fish and meat are excellent too. My favorite part of the store is their premade section - their sushi is just as good as the local restaurants, but cheaper (and try their seaweed salad!). We LOVE their homemade soups too - everything is fresh and delicious. Our favorites are the organic chicken noodle (especially during cold season!), new england clam chowder and lobster bisque (when they have them). The liquor store inside is well curated and convenient when youre in a rush.The customer service is excellent always and everyone goes out of their way to be accommodating. The check out lines are fast and convenient, they always open new lanes when there are lines and they help bag as much as they can. The staff is very friendly.The location is convenient, they always have a traffic cop to help shoppers leave the parking lot during rush hour and peak times.

The store is clean and the people are nice, but the prices are a bit expensive. They have a good variety of upscale brands mixed with regular brands, food prepared in-store for a quick meal, and a good amount of special dietary needs accommodating foods. They carry Boars Head cold cuts, the fish and meats are always fresh, and the sushi is delicious, plus it comes with the option of brown rice or quinoa for a healthier option.

Great customer service, great quality food and now for competitive prices on many items.

Good for what it is, like a very large convenience store, not a humongous supermarket. A tad expensive for some basics, but great selection of fresh food and healthy options. Theres even a small liquor department. Good in a pinch when you need something.

If I could give this location zero I would. It was literally like they were doing me a favor by letting me shop there. Not a single, Hi or “welcome to King’s” or Thank you. When I asked for a price check on an item I received a garbled mutter, head shake and a reluctant price check. All that plus the most expensive groceries I’ve seen in a while. Two words: “never again”.

Excellent Grocery store. Kings are the NEs version of Publix stores.A notch or two above the competition.

Having lived for a year in Morristown and after giving many opportunities to Kings I can confidently say this is the worst supermarket in the area. Not only is severely overpriced in but the cashier service is utterly and consistently disastrous. Moreover, Kings has a pretty bad plastic bag policy. Over and over again, cashiers refuse (by ignoring me) my request to bag in the reusable bags I bring, like its almost an insult to do that. Then, each and every time, they have proceeded to bag, not in one but in * three* plastic bags whatever item I couldnt pack myself, almost like a punishment. This is not an issue of the cashiers but a store policy/manager issue and proves that this is a company that is not doing enough for the environment and for the clients who are aware and are trying to reduce plastic waste, and paying overpriced items. The bad attitude of the cashiers is unacceptable; the lack of encouragement to the clientele to use reusable bags is totally out of sync with comparable and better stores like a Trader Joes and even Whole Foods. If Im spending my dollars in an overpriced store, I should have a right to decide what bags to use, I shouldnt be ignored, mistreated and punished with plastic bags each time I shop. Shame on Kings to not follow environmental standards, not training well its cashiers and denying quality service to the client who is trying to be conscious about the environment.

Having moved to the Morristown area in 2016, I have tried just about every market in a 10 mile radius, and KINGS is my favorite .. You get what you pay for in life, and for those who want to cut corners with food, KINGS may not be your store. But for people who love good food and a great atmosphere, I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Great selection for a local market. The makeover is a major improvement. However, the salad bar and hot food bar can use a makeover as well, always the same boring selection. The soups and coffee selction are always good.

When Im in need for a quick, but tasty and healthy dinner I come to the prepared food section at Kings. The sweet and tangy salmon, super food salad and curry chicken salad are my favorites.

Bought Kings brand egg about a week ago. The expiration date was Jun 20. For most of the eggs, the yolt has broken upon cracking the shell. The white separates. Even the Walmart eggs are not like that.
