Akita Express is my absolute favorite food in Morristown. The steak and scallops with mushrooms, broccoli, and sweet carrots on top of vegetable rice is my favorite. They are always busy and a call ahead with get you friendly curbside service. The food comes with shrimp sauce, but they will substitute soy sauce at no additional charge. Its always hot, fresh and oh so delicious !

Great food, except for the broccoli, it is wilty, but the carrots and rice and yum-yum sauce almost make up for it! Great service with a smile and friendly personalities! I gave em 4 stars, one less than 5 because of parking and being backed plum out in the highway!...😉 guess that means they have something the people want, huh...

I found a bug in my food, and they left out the extra mushrooms. They are over priced and have poor food quality. I used to tell people that it was a really good place to eat, but after today I will no longer be going back.

The food here is excellent. I had the scallops...without the steak. Always served very hot with substantial portions. The carrots were delicious and the scallops perfectly done. I highly recommend. Pricing is good as well.

My most FAVORITE place to splurge on except this last time I went, a few employees were quite RUDE but the manager made up for it

Great Japanese food, a little on the high side, but you get what you pay for.

Akita is located off Morris Blvd, in front of Frank Lorino Park, on the East Side of Morristown (about a quarter mile from hwy 25).Every time I eat there I am happy with the quality, quantity, and price. It seems that no matter the time you come in, you get your food quickly and it tastes great!They are very happy to substitute ingredients and the staff comes out to see how you like everything. You can also call your order in and pick it up. You will get more food than you should probably eat in 1 sitting for around $10 (take the leftovers home and reheat, still tasty)!

The portions arent as much as youd expect. The rice tastes plain and bland, and the location is awful. The staff are fine and the meat tastes okay, but its just not worth your time if you seek quality asian food.

Akita was recommended by several people so I decided to try it. Called at 6:04pm and informed that they do not take phone orders past 4pm.Could not find anything via a google search except hours may vary with no indication of specific ordering hours. The website takes you to a Facebook page which shows nothing.

I love there shrimp and rice, There food is always freshly cooked and you get what u pay for.

ABSOLUTELY one of the best places to eat in morristown! There is enough food to eat on twice. The hibachi chicken is good. The steak & shrimp is too. It is a little pricy be prepared to spend $9 - $12 a meal, but its worth it. The wait is only about 5 mins & the service is great 10/10 would recommend!

Very friendly service. No egg rolls, no spring rolls or sweet and sour sauce plus dry chicken. For the dollar anount at lunch, Ill stick with my wok at the house.

The food was good and service was fast. Girls working there just need to have better manors and not give customers dirty looks or as right after they sit down and start eating if the want a to go box or drink. At least wait until we are not eating. Just because I’m not preppy doesn’t mean I should get treated like that. Learn manors peeps have less respect and manors than any tattooed or pierced person I have ever met.

Akita is my favorite restaurant! The food is always exactly the same! They allow for any substitutions you ask for. I always ask for my food to be cooked in olive oil instead of butter. And I request substitutions on three of the vegetables. They do it with a smile! Every time! Theyre the greatest! Ive never had a bad experience at Akita. Never!

The food is fresh, hot, tasty, and made to order. They work pretty fast but are almost always super busy so you may have to wait a while. They really need a bigger/2nd location.

This place is AMAZING!! My absolute favorite Japanese food ever, and has been for years!! I can never go wrong with this place. I used to eat it almost everyday when I worked in Morristown, but now I have to make it a point to stop everyone Im over that way. My only complaint is that I wish I lived closer to it, and thats not their fault at all!! Try it!! You wont be disappointed. Im hooked for sure!!

I Have been eating from Akita for a while. And I really like the food there. However, lately it seems like the chicken is not cooked enough. It is just too white. If that makes sense.... Today I spent 25 minutes in the drive thru & had to cook the chicken a little bit longer when I got home because it just didnt look like it was done. I think maybe they are just so busy that they get in a hurry to get the food out. Maybe they should just slow down a little and let the chicken cook a little bit longer. And the prices went up quite a bit too. I dont care to pay $2 more for the meal because it is really good. Just wish I did not have to come home and recook the chicken.

Akita Express is one of the best places to eat in Morristown! Fresh food at a good value, quick and quality service. We love their hibachi chicken either eating in the dining room or as take out. Highly recommended!
