After a misunderstanding, Martin himself said he would personally come out and move. me. On the way to my house he got hit by a truck and had to go to the ER. Lyana, who is very nice who works in the office told me what happened.She said that I could reschedule. 3 days after the accident Martin came out with the movers and moved me out just like he said. Even after the accident Martin kept his word and came out and moved me! I told him about a dresser and an end table I had to get from my moms which he went to get as well. He also gave me a discount because of what happened even though the accident wasnt his fault. Martin and his movers were very professional using blankets to move delicate items like the glass end table and also putting extra tape on any boxes that he thought needed extra tape. I will definitely be using King David Movers again thanks to Martin keeping his word and coming out and moving me!

I had an excellent experience with King David Moving! I was moving from one walkup apartment to another and the movers pulled it off quickly and successfully with zero issues, even though it was an excessively hot today and the stairways on one building were small and winding. Everything arrived in perfect condition, and the movers even boxed up my final dishes and knicknacks that I ran out of boxes for. They expertly wrapped fragile items in paper that protected them perfectly. I found that King David provided better services than any competitors in terms of what they offered (number of men, time needed, packing services), especially for the cost. I would strongly recommend!

I highly recommend King David Moving. The crew was on time, worked quickly but carefully, was professional and friendly. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their work and strive to provide the best service possible. I had a very heavy sleeper sofa that had to be carried up and down two flights of stairs and they managed it very well. I dont intend to move again any time soon, but when I do, I honestly dont think Ill bother calling anyone else. Martin and his guys came on time and really made sure that they wrapped our furniture in blankets and wrap. This was necessary because it was during Chicago snow so it was wet and cold. Luckily the snow started falling hard once they moved everything to the new place. They disassembled everything carefully and reassembled as well. We were amazed at how quick they were lifting all the couches and dressers as if they were nothing. They were careful in the new place by placing blankets on the floor while moving furniture to their respective rooms.Since I worked at Northwestern we received a little discount on top of the already great price they offer. We would hire them again.

Great experience working with King David Moving! The person who gave me my quote was friendly and patient. You have to sign and scan your quote, which was a little annoying (e-signature would be great) but after that it was smooth sailing. They called me 24 hours before to confirm everything and the crew called me when they were 15 minutes out. Mitch, Jonathon and (I didn’t get your name!) were so efficient, thoughtful and pleasant. They got me moved in the exact time frame I was quoted. They did great work and packed and wrapped all my furniture with expert care. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Just used King David yesterday for a move from a one bedroom to a two bedroom. Martin and his crew were amazing. They were on time, friendly, and, above all, extremely efficient. It was a four man crew and they got everything done in under four hours. There was absolutely no damage and, in fact, at no point was I even worried that there would be. They took great care of our old furniture (some stuff inherited from grandparents) and even built the bed for us on the other end.I was ready to spend all day stressed out, but Martin and the guys really made the day easy. I used King David to move from the burbs back to Chicago about three years ago and loved them. They arrived on time, with a good attitude and went right to work. They efficiently took my large desk apart and later put it together without any issues. They wrapped everything well and nothing was damaged. They called me as I was driving to my new place and asked me for my eta because they were already at the loading dock (highrise) and needed to get into the apartment! I was shocked that they beat me to the door as the company I had previously used had me waiting for almost an hour and explained that it was usual because they had to avoid the tolls.When I got to the door of my apartment they already had a load waiting and were just as quick and efficient in getting everything in place. They even indulged me when I asked them to move furniture more than once because I wasnt quite sure where I wanted it.They do charge extra for tape, but they only use what they need so it doesnt make the quote go up much at all. All in all the best moving experience Ive had and I plan to use them again.--UPDATE (8/1/14): I used them again to move back to the burbs and the experience was again excellent.

I used King David Movers this morning to deliver a treadmill that a friend gave me and to move some furniture around inside my house. It was a relatively small job that took only 2 hours, however, they did an excellent job. Everyone was extremely friendly and careful, not only with the items being moved but also to make sure they did not damage the walls or floors. I am very happy to now know about King David Movers. King David Moving & Storage provided me with a great move!As I began considering the process of moving, I was feeling incredibly overwhelmed by the varying reviews on different movers throughout the Chicagoland area. It sounds silly, but the name, King David Moving caught my eye and instilled me with confidence. My hunch was right!From working with Liana to organize and set up my move, I was provided pleasant and prompt customer service. Liana was great and always was quick to respond to my questions. I had a small move, so she set me up with a crew of 2 (though 3 men arrived, which turned out to be quite helpful).On moving day, Martin and his crew (guys, youve got to request Martin, he was really kind) arrived promptly, took stock of my move, and handled everything from there! They expertly disassembled and reassembled my giant couch and unwieldy desk, especially because they faced some navigational challenges getting the furniture to where it needed to be in the new place. Martin checked in regularly and filled me in on what they were doing, how they were doing it, and why.They were even very understanding when it turned out that I had the wrong payment and had to zip over to the nearest ATM.About a year ago I helped my girlfriend move. It was a scary, unpleasant experience. Her movers looked and acted like villainous goons from a 1990s action movie. They literally grumbled and groaned and had a bad attitude about everything.I know Martin and his crew faced some challenges getting my desk apart and navigating tight spaces at the new place, but they never complained. Good movers - efficient and well priced. Took careful care of my stuff and helped pack anything I missed. They also took the time to disassemble and reassemble my furniture which was a huge help.Only complaint was they brought a 4th guy when they said it was only going to be 3 guys...and then asked to charge an extra $10/hr for him. I approved this assuming it would make things quicker, but all it seemed to do was lead to at least one guy standing around at any given point. Not sure that additional cost added any value.

Great movers! Got all of my preboxed stuff loaded very quickly and wrapped all of my furniture and large items as well as a couple large TVs and electronics. They were very quick, professional, and safe with all of my belongings.

King David did a great job with my move. They arrived on time and loaded everything quickly and handled all my furniture well. I would definitely recommend them!

Wont use it again! I was told that the quote was an estimate. The charges would be by hour. After they loaded everything in the truck, the leader told me this was your price. What can I say! Also, the leader would keep asking my tips. They broke my mirror leg and didnt say anything. I lost one box of book. Nobody replies my email or answer.

They were honest and polite, on time and worked very hard. Truck was clean...very important! I would recommend them.

The guys were very professional, friendly and efficient. They had me moved into my new place in about 2 hrs. Mind you I had boxed up all my stuff before hand and had it ready to go to streamline the move.

The service from this company is absolutely awful. I would never hire them. They showed up over 4 hours late both on both days. When they asked us what furniture we had we told them everything and then brought us a truck that was half full already and did not fit all of our furniture. We actually couldnt even fit a couple pieces in and had to find our own way to get them moved. When talking about this issue with them they blamed it on us. They damaged a few pieces of furniture and even hit our house with their moving truck and damaged part of our siding. When you try to call the manager with any issues he does not ever answer or call you back. When we finally did get ahold of him to ask him why his movers were so late he hung up on us. They are not a local business like they try to tell you when you book them. DO NOT HIRE.

These guys rocked. I moved a 2br to a 2br from River North to West Loop and the guys were pros. Got everything packed and out and fully moved in without a hitch. Really kind, respectful and moved like lightning.
