I had an amazing experience with this company. Long story short: my car got broken in to where my radio was stolen and wires were cut that completely screwed up my cars electrical system. I was able to bring it in to them and they were able to identify the issues, and help get my car back to 100%. I can’t thank them enough. Would highly recommend them!

I took starter off my 40 Massey Ferguson tractor to them. 5 minutes later they had took it apart diagnosis was brushes and solenoid $98.20 minutes later fixed and out the door.Its been years sence any shop repaired an starter or alternator. Saved $200.Back on my tractor working.No more parking on a hill to roll start.

Potlatch Ambulance recently had one of our ambulances break down. We were told that they are booked out till next month but John Hacker went above and beyond by coming out to our station after hours to diagnose the issue. He then ordered the parts and came back to our station to install them! These guys are awesome!!! I had a vehicle brake down on my way through the area and they were able to diagnose the problem and then went above and beyond (with a very busy schedule) to repair it the next morning. When my car died, they gave me advice over the phone but I had to bring it in anyways. They found the problem really quick and charged fairly. Id definitely recommend them!

I went here because of the great google reviews. I spent a lot of money for them to replace a heater core. One of the owners did the work and cracked my dashboard, covered up the day running lamp sensor and then left all of the debris from the job on the passenger floor. He said he was sorry that his shop vac would not reach that far and had oil over it. So he just left the mess. He fixed the lamp sensor issue but it required 2 trips back and you would hope for better service for spending so much money.

Best place to get your vehicle looked at. Honest guys when I was looking at purchasing a new to me vehicle that was used. They saved me from getting into something that would of eventually cost me more than the car was worth! For that I will forever be grateful!!! Had my ac broken on another vehicle they were able to diagnose what was wrong with it and get it fixed in a timely matter. Very happy with them and will continue to do business with them in the future.

I found out today what they told me was wrong wasnt even the issue. They told me to replace the whole blower motor. It was just a broken wire. I think an electrical specialist should have been able to diagnose a broken wire correctly. I guess they just wanted me to do the most expensive fix possible. So I paid them $50 for false information. 1 star is too many.Charged $50 just to tell me what was wrong and then quote labor costs twice as high as everywhere else in town.I wish they would have told me upfront they didnt do free estimates. Should have known not to even try with them since the last car we took there (Toyota Celica) they supposedly put in a starter and relay but they never fixed the issue. 0/10 would not recommend.

Top notch auto repair shop - highly competent and efficient mechanics, very customer oriented :)))). We were on a road trip from out of state and pulled into town with a failed alternator. Electrical Specialists were able to fit us into their full schedule.

This shop has been easy to work with. They have been willing to diagnose issues then let me fix the problem myself when I felt comfortable with the repair and have done repairs start to finish in a timely manner and for fair labor costs. I recommend them to anyone in need of a good mechanic.

Let me tell you! These guys are the absolute GODS at diagnosing and repairing Automobile electrical issues. They also do complete Auto Repair at a fair price. They have VERY capable and seasoned mechanics to perform the repairs. No newbies here. I would highly suggest them for your repair needs.

Always take my vehicles here, truly amazing people that really care and dont want to simply take your money. Last time I took my car, they informed me that my car had a recall for this part, and instead of taking $500 from me, the sent me to the Chevy dealer where the work was done for free! John at Electrical Specialists is wonderful! My car was being sassy and difficult and he was able to figure out the problem and get it fixed. He tried several different things and didnt charge me until it was fixed. I suspect other mechanics might have had me pay for new part after new part until we found what worked. John would put a replacement in and if my car still acted up, Id swing back and and hed change it back and try something new. So glad to have found such a great mechanic and would recommend them to anyone!

These guys are great! I messed up my stereo in my pickup the day before we were going on a trip to Seattle, they got my pickup in and had it fixed before 10am despite being booked out for a few days. Ill recommend them to everyone.

I had a water pump replaced. They replace it in 2 hrs. And was still leaking out of the seep hole. So I made them do it again. Not even sure if they did the job to begin with. Always get a second opinion. I found that Meineke is just as affordable.

The best way to describe this business is Honest, Skilled and Professional. I had an electrical problem on my silverado. I took it to these guys and he only charged me for an hour labor for the repair. An electrical issue is one where he could have inflated the bill to anything and I wouldnt have known the difference. However that was not the case here, they took an hour to fix it, so they charged me for an hour. As far as skill, they are clearly skilled and fast because they found the problem very quickly and had it up and running. Honest mechanics are hard to find,, that being said theres an honest one here in Moscow. Theyve earned my business for life.

Called about a short on my isuzu npr and they refused to even diagnose the problem. I offered to pay for a few hours for them to even try and figure it out and the owner told me sorry Ill pass very frustrating for a specialist to not even try when you have the money to spend. Not very good business practices.

Went here on the recommendation of a friend and neighbor. They seem like an honest and trustworthy local shop...the service writer told me over the phone to drop off on Monday and that the diagnostic charge would be $100. They assured me they would call before any addl charges were assessed. Went to pick up my vehicle / go over the damage and the base charge went from $100 to $150 >> very dishonest IMHO.They didnt do any basic troubleshooting....just hooked up to the computer, reset stuff....and quoted me $750 in additional charges to replace a faulty motor / latch on the side door assembly of my minivan.The van isnt worth $5,000 so Im not about to spend 20% of its total Assessed Value on a very minor & basic repair..... so I took it home, sprayed some brake cleaner, WD-40, wiggled the latch....and a touch of white lithium grease on the latch (had this all on-hand...otherwise wouldve cost me $15 for all new cans)cleaned and greased the latch (as listed above)..... and it functions like new!!only downside is I spent $150 for an estimate to replace a perfectly good latch for $750 >> wont be going back

Horrible experience - I am about as broke as a college student can get, and they where looking at my car for electrical issues.They said they did a full electrical inspection and found nothing. They charged me $100 to recharge my batteryAnd said it was fine.Surprise surprise that night my car yet again did not turn on.DISHONEST • HORRIBLE • SCAMMERS • would never recommend to anybody

BEWARE -Yesterday, I had my 1998 Ford Explorer towed to this shop to fix a starter problem . because my usual mechanic was busy. I grew suspicious when I obtained the $180 bill for having the starter repaired (2h repair, for changing the brushes !?). Little did I know what was in line for me.As soon as I started the car, I realized that something was very wrong. The car is shaking, running rough and its making are horrifying clicking sound. When I confronted the mechanics, I was told that it was like this when they started it up (he repeated the same sentence ~10 times). Needless to say, the car has never behaved or made sounds like that.This was my first and last visit to this shop and I will make sure that my colleagues at the University will hear about this experience.
