They have a wonderful selection of books, and they also carry other little trinkets and bobbles! I got one of the little adopt a magical creature big foot dudes a couple of years ago, and it is my little travel buddy :)BookPeople staff are always very helpful, and have helped me choose out some of my favorite books!

Friendly staff. They help support local authors, so if you are one, pop in and say hi. If youre a customer, check out their local author shelf. Its not a huge section, but Im sure the locals would appreciate the attention. As for the rest of the store, its not huge but its plenty big for a small town. Go get a book!

A classic book store that is involved in the community. Great place! Good kids books. When I first visited Moscow, walking around this Book People gave me a good feeling about the community--and I still really appreciate them just being here.

Very quaint, kind of small and not a lot of choices for young adult reading or adult fiction for that matter. Very cozy though and wonderful staff.

A charming locally owned bookstore. If they dont have it, they can order it. More expensive than a chain bookstore, but the binding is better quality and they often have signed copies.I love supporting my local bookstore.Edited to add; chain bookstores and grocery stores offer a discount on cover prices to most customers, that are not sustainable for local bookstores

Im a tad biased because I love books. The store was very clean and nicely organized. The lady who helped us helped above and beyond the call of duty. She went and hunted for the books we were looking for instead of vaguely pointing us in their direction.

Favorite book store! Always find fun, new books. I love the local author section. The Book People of Moscow is also a great place to get little gifts for others!

Unique selection of books and knick knacks. I personally love their socks. Very fun! They also have mystery books you can purchase for a $3 donation. I really enjoy this unique touch. It’s always fun being surprised by the mystery book and it’s also very affordable and local.

Book People is my absolute favorite bookstore. The ambiance is lovely, the book selection is fantastic, and the special events they put on truly enrich our little Moscow community. When I need to purchase a gift in a genre I am unfamiliar with, they always have amazing options and suggestions. If they dont have what you are looking for, you can order it from them easily and have it shipped the the store faster than if you ordered a book online. Their loyalty program is awesome as is their story time for children. They are also huge supporters to local theatre and music events offering a place for artists to sell tickets for shows. This is one of the few independently owned book stores in the area.It sells new and pre-owned books in all categories.Great selection of books, a lot of indie writings, extremely knowledgeable staff. Nice atmosphere, definitely a place to pick up a nice gift for the book lover. They can also order and ship books all over the world.

I have been to bookstores throughout the country and a bit of the world and this is absolutely the best bookstore I have ever been to. It is bright, welcoming and filled with hand selected books, gifts, cards, magazines and treats that either I have longed for and never found locally or else am discovering and falling in love with for the first time. The customer service is outstanding and the philanthropy they do in the community is noteworthy. I love being in the store when someone walks in and their jaw just drops with how stunning the store is.

I just went to this shop for the first time and loved it! The staff was so helpful and friendly, and all the merchandise was nicely displayed.Already am looking forward to my next visit. Its my new little shop around the corner ...they just need the little bell above the door!!

Dont miss this wonderful bookstore! I have received superb customer service from the knowledgeable staff every time Ive visited. On one occasion I went in looking for some cookbooks. Even though it was busy in the store, I was quickly assisted by an employee who listened carefully to my question and was able to recommend several books that suited my dietary needs perfectly. They also have the best collection of childrens books Ive ever seen under one roof. The store is well organized, pleasant, and welcoming to browsers. They have a great selection, but it is also easy to place a special order if what youre looking for isnt in stock. Add in the extras they offer, such as book readings, author signings and childrens book story hour and what more could you ask for? Thanks, Bookpeople!

Moscow Book People has outstanding prices, selection, and customer service. They will also let you sit down and read there. This store is a wonderful place for the Moscow community.

This store is useful if you are in Moscow, ID and want a copy of a national newspaper or certain periodicals not carried at the magazine section of Walmart. You may also find this store curious if youre iterating through the shops in downtown Moscow to pass the time - or maybe if youre looking for a gift or a coffee table book, since this store is, supposedly, full of unique and interesting books.However, if you have any sort of reading agenda - if you have a specific book or list of books or authors in mind, then dont bother: the selection at Book People is sparse and overpriced. If you do happen to find a title that you are interested in then plan on paying a Barnes and Noble price for a used copy.After living in Moscow for five years I always found the staff to be unpleasant. I dont need staff to be attentive, in fact Id prefer a staff to leave me alone. However, anytime I purchased something at this store I found the employee/owner to be cold and maybe snooty and judgmental. Definitely not the enthusiastic atmosphere towards books and reading that you would expect from a place called Book People.To the review that quoted The greatest bookstore in the Pacific Northwest: really? Have you been outside of Moscow, ID? How about Powells in Portland or Half Priced Books in Seattle, or even Brused Books in Pullman?pros: cheap lattes.
