Place had a good selection of older comics. I could have shopped all day, but was on my way out of town. No graded comics and no posters was a bummer. They do have minis and costumes as well.

This place is awesome! They always have great board games, comics, and costume supplies. The people are friendly and if you dont see what youre looking for they will often custom order it for you.

The perfect place to find all the geeky things my family loves. The owners and staff are very helpful and fun to talk to. The puppy though, steals the show!

So I would just like to say that most of the staff here is amazing and super nice and fun. But the lady incharge is super rude. I lost all of my hair in an accident about a year ago so for a long time all I could wear to feel like myself again was wigs. I wear my real hair now because Im not bald anymore. I would go to this store and i actually bought my first wig here. As I got better at putting wigs on and understanding them. I got human hair wigs. This store does not have human hair wigs. I would go and look at the wigs here and buy other things like comic books and stuff. But I mentioned that now I wear human hair wigs from Amazon, because i would wear it everyday and that was just better for me. Emotionally and physically, and she scoffed at me and walked away glaring at me. She would openly tell me I was rude and she was very very judgemental. Its a shame because the staff here for the most part is awesome but I will not be shopping here again. The lady made me feel bad for not having hair after that traumatic experience. I went here because it is the only wig store in this area, but not anymore.

The staff is lovely and super helpful, they have a variety of products, so its sort of your One-Stop shop for tabletop games. They also have costumes as well for anyone who likes to dress up.

Safari Pearl is a place where Halloween exists everyday. I go here for my drag makeup and effects -even parts and pieces to costumes I didnt think I could find in a store. Their counter has a great selection of special fx contact lenses, higher end makeup, and even a lot of special effect scars, scabs, gashes, veneers, grills, scarecrow teeth, even the blood...you name it. And oh, if you like painting very small, delicate art pieces, they have some of the most insane fine liner brushes for a pretty reasonable price. I recommend this store for everything. I travel from three hours away to pick up supplies.

This is a solid enough comic shop. Not anything that will blow your mind, but theyve got comics! (Ive been frequenting comic shops for years, and this is probably the best in town, but not the highest quality you can find)

Always fun. Its hard to find a place to get good costumes, especially in Moscow. Theyre also the only ones in town who carry adult toys, comics, and gaming media, with more than two options like Walmart, etc. Also, the cat and dog wandering in there are ADORABLE. Its just a nice little nook, a hidden gem in this strange town.

SP has a great selection of board games, tabletop RPGs, costumes, models, comics, clothes, etc. I never expected it to be so eclectic. They cover such a wide array of interests that its no wonder similar but less diverse game/comic shops have gone under while SP thrives. Its just a great shop.

Only place you can find inhalants in the area and they have some great costumes for everyone the adult area is excellent

I brought my young boys here recently to learn to pay Magic the Gathering and get some starter decks. They have a wonderful and friendly staff that were very patient and taught them well. In addition to taking the time to teach them how to play, gave them small starter decks of each color.Ive been here several other times and the staff has always been great and courteous. They have even been willing to order things in that they didnt have in stock our necessary carry.

Small but mighty! My family loves this shop, and the wonderful and personal service we get every time we go there. You really cant beat a game shop with this selection plus two cats and a dog!

Safari Pearl is always on my list when I visit Moscow. They have a great selection of comic books and board games, as well as Magic trading cards. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and is always able to answer my questions. Not to mention the huge selection of costumes, props, and makeup. 10/10 will always go back again.

In my original review, I basically said that I was being ripped off by the way they do card trade-ins here. I was wrong. I had it explained to me today that they have a system that looks at more than just TCGPlayer for their prices. I originally assumed that this store went with the same system I’ve seen at every other store I’ve been to.I will say that this does mean, in my experience, you will get less for your trade-ins compared to other local stores, but it doesn’t mean you’re being ripped off. They do however accept cards that are less than $5 in value, which is pretty great considering some other local places won’t take them.I still feel that one member of the staff makes me uncomfortable at times, and today seemed to get defensive when I asked about how cards are priced. Other times I’ve been here the individual made me uncomfortable by using non-verbal signals of “oh great” whenever I bring in trade-ins.Even after visiting today and being happy with a purchase, I don’t know if I can recommend going here, at least for Magic trade-ins. Other stores have wider selections of cards to trade for and make, at least for me, feel more welcomed when purchasing cards.

Fairly condescending atmosphere. They only stock comics in which the owners enjoy, and dont seem to stock what other people are looking for due to petty personal dislike for the writer. When asked about comics that they dont have on the shelf, they very rudely said I could subscribe if I really wanted that comic, but then explained how the writer said something sexist in a comic once. Its better than nothing, but not by much. Definitely recommend anywhere else.

I love this place. Im fairly biased though I guess because Ive been coming here for close to 20 years now. I come in to see if any comics Ive gotten subscriptions to are waiting for me in my box and to browse their new comics that are out on Thursdays. Sometimes I dont buy anything but Im pretty sure they dont mind. Theres always Magic the Card game tournaments being played there it seems like. I kind of wish I participated sometimes.

I play a lot of Magic and typically go to Hodgins, but today I decided to check out Safari Pearl. The store is wonderfully set up with walls of board games and tables to play. When you walk in you are greeted by a sweet white dog with a ball in her mouth. An easy 5 stars just for her! I also very much enjoyed their catalog system (kiosk) which you would view online by the way! I learned that I could buy a card from home and then pick it up. This will take some getting used to, nonetheless, it beats spending hours sifting through boxes and boxes of overflow. Why four and not five stars Bruce? Great question! While everything seems great, I was somewhat disappointed with the lack of stock. I kept striking out when looking for what should be pretty standard products like dice and MTG challenger decks. The staff (and maybe owner?) were nice, but they were not very knowledgable about MTG which made the experience a little disappointing. Perhaps Ive been spoiled at Hodgins? So, I ended up having to drive to Hodgins where I found everything I needed. I guess I should have gone there first? If Hodgins had a cataloging system and a puppy dog to greet, it would be my forever shop! 4 stars and a smile for the dog 😁

I happened to be in Moscow for Free Comic Book Day 2015 and stopped in to check out Safari Pearl Comics. The store itself is quite large with well stocked shelves of both current and back issues of just about anything you could possibly be looking for. Also on hand are many games and accessories for various table-top and role playing games.The staff that I encountered were both knowledgeable and helpful. I ended up leaving with a huge bag of back issues which were on sale by the POUND. :) While Im not in Moscow as often as I would like, I will definitely stop back in when my travels bring me back to the Palouse.

Not as many new comics, but they do have a pull list. Game nights, tons of games and costumes. Very clean. Nice people, too!

I visited with my college aged daughter and browsed while she shopped. I collected baseball cards and always thought the game cards a waste of time. This place has tons of single cards and dozens of different game packs and sets. Its not my thing but pretty impressive of it is yours.

The Pearl is a great place to go for a fun game night, especially if youre a fan of MTG! Highly recommend their selection of boardgames, as well.

Probably one of my favorite shops on the Pallouse. They have a wide variety of products from tabletop games to costumes; party lighting to comics. Their selection is vast. Anything they dont have in stock can be ordered and delivered to the store. Best place to shop if youre into roleplaying games, they have so many dice to choose from. Theyve got books, guides, props, and just about anything youd need to run or play in a game. Definitly worth visiting.
