They do good work but they like to do extra and then overprice the job. I’m 16 and don’t know that much about interacting with machine shops. I asked for them to bore two cylinders that were 2 in in diameter. The preceded to sand blast also, which I didn’t need, then charged me 150 for boring to small cylinders. Don’t go there unless you know exactly what you are willing to pay.

These guys resurfaced an unobtanium flywheel for me that came to them rusty crusty and oily. It came back looking like it rolled right out of the factory. TOP notch work, clean, sparkly and decently priced! Theyve won my business! Would recommend for machining.

Helbling seems to be very knowledgeable. I brought some heads in to get pressure tested and decked after removing them due to a blown head gasket. Their guy immediately spotted a crack in one of them. While this is bad news I didnt want to hear, they saved me precious time and money in going any further with that set of heads and Im grateful I brought them in.

This is a full service engine machine shop- they dont build engines, but do all of the heavy work from boring, surfacing, grinding, valves, flywheels, rods.. you name they do it- so you can build the engines. I have been bringing them heads, blocks, flywheels, rotors, manifolds etc for years and have never had a problem. Bob, Shon, Erin, Dean and Dylan know their parts and wont leave you hanging.They are a valuable resource not just for their parts and service, but can answer and explain *why* and *how* to do intricate work. These guys and gals are top-notch.

I do all my own mechanics and I have these guys do any bit of machine work that needs to be done. They are reasonably priced and local. They have solid experience and if you go in and talk shop they will aide in whatever they can.

Dropped off a cylinder head to have it resurfaced and got it back the same day in excellent condition! Fair pricing and quality service, would definitely recommend this machine shop.

I use them all the time for head work, complete engine rebuilds, part cleaning, or the occasional use of their shop press. They have always done good work, been on time, and communicated well not to mention that their pricing is really reasonable.

I had some head work done at this place and after the head was put back in my car, a part that they installed failed causing $1000s of more dollars in damages. After i had my mechanic look the car over and give an idea of what it would cost to fix we told helblings about it and they said they would cover whatever damages were caused by their faulty part. After the work was said and done and they recieved the bill they refused to pay the whole bill as it was higher than they were quoted... Well when i asked them how much it would cost to rebuild my head the final price was higher than they originally quoted, but i still paid the full bill. They are a shady outfit and will screw you over any way they can. Bob is not a good person, i even wrote a letter to them and never got any sort of response. Will never do business with them again. Be warned this place is horrible.

Cheapest auto parts in town on multiple occasions, i always check here first
