Favorite local hardware store with fantastic customer service from their managers and staff. Their inventory will cover most building and landscaping projects.The best thing about this True Value is the staff. They are small-town friendly and far more knowledgeable about the industry and their products than you will ever find at the big box competitors. So nice to have someone discuss projects with you to help determine the best products, then lead you directly there.During the spring they have an impressive garden center. We buy several annuals, herbs, and veggie plants for our salsa garden. They also have a decent selection of pet food at decent prices, which has saved us on several occasions.

Staff helpful. Clean store and restroom. Store well stocked. Found mens clothing on sale I was shopping for. Bonus - found a hardcover book about snowflakes Ive wanted. Writing my shopping for Pink Tag coming up in two-weeks.

Had the worst customer service experience here the other day. It was about 2 minutes until close and I was waiting on my husband with a truck who was about a minute from the store, when at this time an employee basically told me to get out they are closed. It was such a rude encounter I wont be back!

My bike broke down on the Dakota regional trail and I lost the retainer nut for the back wheel axle screw. When I entered the store they were very welcoming and asked to help me out. When I described my problem, Dallas took me to their bike workshop and dug through a bunch of spare parts to get me exactly what I needed. My car was atleast 10 miles away so as you can imagine I was super excited that they found me this part so I could go on my way. They didn’t charge me a dime and also they accept Apple Pay! Overall super experience and writing this experience as soon as I got to my car.

This place is the pinnacle example of customer service. Any given day they’ve got as much staff on as a big box store and they’re all ready to help you find just the right solution, even if it’s going with the cheapest option! Plus the fact they’re pet friendly and always give our dog treats is a huge bonus.

Hardware stores are great places to shop and Mound true value has lots of what I need and makes it easy to find whatever Im looking for.

This is my hometown True value. Just like the TV show Cheers, where everyone knows your name. Thats Mound True Value. Yes! Ya have to come here often for them to know ya, but still. Theres Kevin and Sam who know everything go to them first. Sam is the engineer so if your jury rigging something he can give ya 99 ways to do it. Kevin will fix your bike, your paint and everything thing else. When I moved out of town Id still come here to get what I needed even if my new home was over an hour drive away. Thats how awesome this True Value is!!

I really like Mound True Value. It is so hard for places like this to compete with the big box retailers and although many people will say the way to compete is with service, putting that idea into reality can often fall flat for a small business. But not at Mount True Value. I have CONSISTENTLY had quick service, tips, and everyone I have talked to there find ways to do the little things right. Im not sure if it is in their training, or they just hire people with good soft skills, or both. But, if you have a question about a tool or are looking for an obscure item - it seems one of their employees will appear out of nowhere to instinctively help you. And, they wont just vaguely point you toward a numbered aisle, they will TAKE YOU RIGHT TO THE ITEM YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. It is a perfect contrast to many of the big home improvement stores I have been to where it can be a monumental task to find someone that can help you, and when you do, they have never heard of a pliers or hammer.

I am absolutely amazed and astounded at the customer service I was provided this evening. Cody and Sam took my idea that was not something easily purchased as one package item, grabbed a couple things around the store and made it for me right there! You could go to a big box store and watch the employees run from you but here they are more than happy to help. It was so fun to be taught and watch them work together. I am so grateful, thank you!!

Excellent. I can find detail items here that you will not find at the big box stores. Great screw and bolt selection with lots of metrics. Plus you dont have to chase someone down for help like the big stores and the staff knows their stuff.

Best local hardware store a guy can have in town. Staff is always super friendly, knowledgeable and delightfully helpful. Prices are a bit high, but thats the price of convenience. Stop on in and get some popcorn too!

Im appalled at how the staff treated my father when he checked out with a valid, official Ace Hardware coupon. With an entire crowd of customers waiting behind him at the register the cashiers and staff dropped what they were doing to publicly ridicule and accuse him of being a fraud artist. If that kind of abysmal treatment is what you consider customer service then you wont be seeing him or myself ever again. Youve lost a frequent customer who shopped here from the day the store opened.Thankfully the Navarre True Value took the coupon without a second thought. I strongly recommend giving them your business instead.

I stop in for home repair and lawn/garden items on a regular basis. Always able to get exactly the parts I need in the right quantities. They have a lot of items I wouldnt expect a smaller hardware store to have, and the staff are very competent and able to suggest the right parts for the job I need to do. Im never looking for a part more than a minute without finding what Im looking for thanks to the staff. I prefer this store over Menards, Home Depot and Lowers and get almost everything I need here.

Although prices are more expensive than box stores, the customer service makes it worthwhile to buy from Mound True Value. Look to Mound True Value for hardware, hand tools, and for servicing everything from bicycles to lawn mowers. Standard raw materials like wood, paint and light bulbs are just plain less expensive at the big box stores because of their purchasing power, but Mound True Value will provide the customer service expertise that will save time from not having to return to the box stores for getting wrong or bad advice.
