They are very dishonest! I didnt fix the problem of my car! Months later another new problem happened to my car! You never knows what they have done to any part of your car! Soon or later, you will see more damages appear. Dont go there! Again. They are very dishonest!

I will never take my car back to a dealership again. Every time I take my car into a dealership I end up spending more than I anticipate. Plus there is always some type of problem that I need to do right away. I am so impressed and happy with the way Jason takes care of his customers. I like that he is honest and he updates before he does something. He doesnt push for things that do not need immediate attention unlike dealerships. I appreciate that his prices are fair and affordable. I also dont feel pressured into getting work done on my car. He explains why he needs to do something and how he will do it. I love supporting local businesses and I will definitely be supporting Jason/ 35W Auto Repair.

I cant praise Barneys enough. This is an EXCELLENT excellent excellent place to bring your car. Dan (aka Barney) is an actual mechanic, not just a tech, and he knows what hes doing. Whats more he is honest which is hard to come by in an automotive repair shop. A few years ago, we brought in my husbands car, and after driving it around, Dan couldnt reproduce the same symptoms we told him about... so he didnt want to replace what wed asked him to! What an honest mechanic. (Eventually we did reproduce it and he did fix it.) :) Ive heard him say more than once that he cares about his reputation and doesnt want to be known for telling people they need to have something fixed that they dont need to. Then this last week I had to get our a/c fixed on our van, and we brought it to another place because of a coupon (stupid mistake) where they filled it with freon for $150, checked for leaks with a light for 10 minutes, and let me go home. It leaked a huge puddle on my garage floor that night. I took it back and they told me that to fix the leak it would cost $1200. Ouch! SOOoooo, I took it back to Barneys. (Enter chorus with glorious singing.) He first checked it out to see where the leak was, and he told me that it was in a different spot than the other place had said. He was able to fix it for only $620. (Thats a heck of a lot cheaper!!!) Then he hooked it up and did a PRESSURE TEST for an HOUR (not just looking around with a little light for ten minutes) to make sure that there werent any other leaks. Along the way he also tried to do some other things to save us money, which I could go into detail on, but it would be a lot of writing. But it was really clear that he valued the idea that people dont have endless amounts of money, and he wanted to try to help us out. He also saves the parts so you can see them. Bottom line, hes honest, he tries to save you money, and his rates are cheaper than the other guys. And hes just a nice, decent guy. My husband and I trust him to work on our cars.p.s. the other place I went to was the Exxon mobile on Lexington and 694... do NOT go there. They also told my mom that she needed new tires a WEEK after she had new ones put on.p.p.s. You wont be disappointed going to Barneys. (But do bring a wipe to wipe down the steering wheel afterwards.) :)p.p.p.s. Also I should mention they dont really have a waiting room, just a chair (or two?) in their main entrance. But there is a McDonalds a block away and a really good restaurant next door that you could wait at if you need. I didnt need my car, so I just left it there overnight. Ok thats it!
