A super market where you can go to feeling welcomed with positive energy and friendly, kind workers.
I love shopping here. They have a great selection of everything. They satisfy the normal / usual and have some unusual and gourmet.
This store really came through during the covid days. I was shopping when the stay at home order hit, and every single checkout register was in use, plus 4 self checkouts for a total of 15 checkout stands in operation. There were only 3-4 people in each line under worst case scenario. I was able to get one of everything on my list, minus the tp.
One of my favorite grocery stores. Never too many people. Hate crowded stores. Always great choice. I love it!
Clean store with great service deli and bakery. We bought a beautiful birthday cake that ended up being the hit of the evening. Everyone raved about the delicious chocolate cake with strawberry filling.
Nob Hill had most of the items we want, but they are not always consistent. Their produce has declined a little in quality. That may not be their fault but a supply chain issue. Overall a good neighborhood grocery store.
Recently moved back to Alameda. So sad! NOB HILL! More expensive than Safeway and Luckys, things on shelves with wrong prices below them, sign of the times that they have closed an entrance completely off and a security guard sits inside the entrance. I wont be repent to what used to be my favorite store in Alameda 4 years ago.
Its been a while since I was in the MV store. I was disappointed in almost everything. This store used to be outstanding but now its no different than a Lucky.
Nob Hill has everything I need and more. I like how the store is organized with detailed large sign for whats in every aisle. The only thing I would change is the prices - a bit too stiff for my liking.
Self checkout register required 3 visits from the clerk to clear errors. Otherwise, store its huge, clean and well stocked
Very nice large and will laid out store. One couldnt help but wonder as to the extent that which the spacious layout and lower shelving translates into higher prices. The checkout process is quite regimented because of Covid-19 concerns with a carefully but inconveniently structured process
Awesome neighborhood grocery store. Very friendly staff and theres a great Peets coffee right as you enter.
Best super market in the neighborhood. I go here mainly for fresh produce and they have the best quality in terms of variety and freshness. The store is clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. This is located right next to ranch market on one side and Marshalls on the other. Ample parking and is not very busy which means you are in and out very quickly
Found exactly what I wanted, quick and easy. Great clerk staff!
Its a big grocery store, they have almost everything you need. The part that I think is lacking a bit is the hot bar, maybe they have less choices after Covid.
Great selection. Friendly, helpful people. If theyd just reopen the second door (the one the law requires to be open), theyd be perfect!
Amazing selection of fresh produce and the price is reasonable.
The manager Gloria is always so friendly & nice & such a clean store to shop in too! :)
I dont have any photos yet to reinforce my huge boutique neighborhood grocery. The variety of, well, everything, stock levels, freshness and no long checkout lines. Even during peak times, everything is spaced well for social distancing. You can even get a tank of propane for your barbecue grill or heater.
This place is beautiful inside.
I like the employee here very friendly good customer service and good stuff
Nice team helpful smiles😁
Nob Hill in Mountain View is a great local Raleys family store. They feature fresh local produce, an extensive deli and grab-n-go section and a wine selection to rival any store. Their bakery has baked-daily bread, and delicious desserts,
This place has gone down hill. I have been shopping here for over 10 years and the new employees are rude. I used to enjoy the old employees such as Dan and Rocio. But now every one is rude and I only go if I have to or forgot something because its close. I absolutely dread going there now.
Benchmark for other supermarkets. The deli and bakery are excellent. Just shopping at this store is a breath of fresh air. Well stocked, organised and good product selection. We drive the extra miles for their fruit tort cake, sinful. Prices are competitive with other NorCal markets. If youre picky about appearances and product selection...shop here. Its worth the drive!
This review is for the Flower Shop and Sara. Sara is fantastic and after she made her first flower arrangement for me, I stopped going to boutique flower shops, and just come here instead. Sara puts a lot of dedication and passion into her arrangements, they always turn out very professional, and are way more affordable than other places. Sara is very attentive and can help you in Spanish or English.
My favorite place to shop! Great employees and a great selection of foods. If I could change one thing, it would be the other shoppers that don’t seem to follow the “6 feet apart” rule.Even as it’s playing on the overhead speaker system, people still walk straight at you. So, it takes a bit longer to get the shopping done, because I’m either fleeing another customer, or waiting patiently to go down an aisle.Hopefully, this will all be over soon.
Friendly helpful people and good place for all your grocery needs
Very nice, reminded me of Kogers
Always clean! Always have items in stock. Great nob Hill foods!
Nice an clean atmosphereI found everything i neededFresh an tasty Friendly workers an cashiers
The very best Olive Loaf Bread.
Feel very safe shopping there. Everyone respect others and keep social distance from each other. Many shoppers wear gloves. Please note the post office station in the front of the store is closed permanently starting from November 7, 2020.
Great place to shop around for groceries or immediate needs if you’re in the vicinity.
Good value for the money. Love to do grocery shopping here.
This store has great produce, thanks to produce employees and especially Felix. He knows the perfect vegetables and fruits, produce section is always clean and arranged perfectly making it enticing to buy. The store is alway clean and great, friendly employees. Its become my new favorite grocery market.
Great selection and wonderful service. Well laid out store, neat and clean. Good sale prices too! I will be changing where I shop for groceries.
The cashier was very patient with me as I struggled with my Nob Hill account, dealing with all my coupons and dealing with the fact that I was shopping for 2 households. And just before she was due for a break.Nob hill is laid out with plenty of space to social distance. Its not crowded, and the employees do a good job of keeping their distance and even stepping away from their work so you can get something, while at the same time they are a available to help you out when you cant find something
Great variety of choices and everything was in stock. I like this place!
Always good grocery options.
Great produce section, always a very clean store. The best part is how nice and cooperative all of the employees are. Special kudos to Bruce who always makes me smile!
Love this marketBest gourmet sandwiches for $6.99 compared to other supermarketsGreat staff and butchers
Good grocery store, slightly higher end than average, similar to other store in the chain.
A great grocery store with a fast and easy pickup service. They bring the groceries out to your car, and the service is much quicker than it used to be a few months ago. Overall their selection and prices are good.
Good prizes on most everything you need to cook
Big clean nice market with a good selection of everything. Post Covid hot food section now has sealed individual containers. self ckout line moved quickly.
Fantastic florist service from Sarah. She made me a beautiful 50th Wedding Anniversary corsage and boutonniere. Try her service!
Easy to navigate, clear easy to read aisle signs in the divided areas.
Great bargains. The staff is sorta jay cat like. Jumpy shaddy like and not too friendly. Made the shopping experience not as welcoming.
I always go here, however since the pandemic started the cashiers seem to be mad about me asking them to reload my cart and not use bags. Not only do they make a weird face, the lady today THREW ALL MY FRUITS AND VEGGIES IN THE CART and blindly threw canned goods on top of them!! I called her out and she didn’t apologize or explain herself. This is absolutely ridiculous and should never happen to any customer. I’m merely thinking of the environment and loading my groceries in my bags in the car.
Very spacious, clean and well organized. I just moved to the area and I was afraid it would be very expensive but actually some every day items and items on special are cheaper than Safeway
Somehow manages to feel like a Whole Foods without being pretentious, or maybe thats just the skewed opinion of a born and raised Bay Area local. We like our childhood brand names! And 99 Ranch next door is a good option for more diverse cuisine.
Very nice and fruit and vegetables are fresh.
The prices are rarely the best in town, but the produce is excellent and they have a good selection of international and specialty goods. If you want a wide selection, this is the best grocery store in the area. Organic, non-organic, Asian and Latin specialty goods, great produce and decent fish and meat products. They’re not the BEST for any one thing, but it’s the best I’ve found as a one stop shop in the area. More reasonable than WholeFoods, better selection than Safeway.
I enjoyed my experience shopping there very much
Wow! Nob Hill has gone way down in selection of meat as well as quality. The personnel working seem to not easy to be there as well. I used to go here all the time for good cuts of meat... No more.
Havent been there for a while. Went to get a couple of bags of ice. The store is refreshingly clean and shiny
One of My grocery favorite
Clean and well lit grocery store, hence the three stars. Not four or five because prices are pretty outrageous -- curious how to spend $8 for a gallon of milk? Nob Hill Foods accepts the challenge (and your hard earned dollars). For some commodities like sugar and beer, you can find the occasional deal if youre willing to trade your data for discounts via the loyalty card.
I usually shop at Safeway but Im finding Nob Hill has great prices on most things and a friendly staff
I had a very bad experience at this grocery store today. I noticed a lot expiring items in the deli department going out with in a day or two. At checkout my checker was Robert and he really had a piss poor attitude and was acting like I was bothering him as he unpacked my grocery cart. I also think pulling the plug on shipping center at the this store was the last straw for me
Clean, friendly. Easy
My preferred grocery store. Super nice managers, cashiers and employees: it is nice to see familiar faces, instead of seeing them rotate them from store to store every so often. Clean store. Prices are moderate: not the lowest, and not the highest.
Great lighting, selection, and often very reasonable prices for a boutique-type grocery. They are closing the post office as of Nov 7 2020.
A very large facility, very good meats and lots of product to choose from. I was able to get through their checker very expeditiously and they were very courteous during this covid-19 visit.
Very nice location, parking and staff. The store is just smaller with a much more limited selection than most other nob hill stores even, & way expensive, like whoa!!! Can anyone say price gouging...
My first time to this store, and it looked great! Went to check out the baking section, and they had a lot more options than my local Safeway. The vegetable selection also looked pretty neat.
Nob Hill Supermarket is exceptionally clean, it has a wide array of foods such that its a one-stop grocery shopping location. The prices are within the normal range for Silicon Valley, theres ample parking and its in a safe location. I also found many specials and discount items which is always an added benefit.
The selection of anniversary balloons was minimal and some balloons were filled with regular air instead of helium which is quite odd but the store as a whole is first rate.
Nothing better than switching lunch plans at a restaurant after stopping at Nob Hill Foods. Found already made salads plus soups and even a breakfast treat. Self check out makes it sometimes fun, and quicker.
The layout of this store confused me. What is with the frozen island hidden to one side? Ice cream selection was poor and most of them were covered in a thick layer of ice. Pass.
This is a real solid grocery store. The produce department is up there with the best. Deli is real good and love the breakfast burritos/sandwiches. Good pies in the bakery. Overall good variety of products, including lots of stuff youd find at a drug store. I wish they had more humane certified meats, fish options, and veggie burger options . Prices are okay overall, not great. Non-sale items are often downright pricey, so I almost never buy items if they arent on sale. Fortunately, they run good sales on my favorite items quite often. Also, its convenient that theres a post office and U.S. Bank inside.
One of my favorite places for seafood and turkey. I wish there were more stores on the peninsula. Their fruits and vegetables are always fresh. Their deli is well stocked. One more f the few places for carob malted milk balls without chocolate or corn syrup. The bakery always has something that makes it into the cart .
Has become my go to grocery shopping, good selection and stock, if you are not picky, raleys brand is high quality and good price.
Nice, clean, large and roomy store. I was shocked when I first walked in. The name Nob Hill made me think, neighborhood store. However it is fully stocked, easy to find and park.
Good place for shopping very organized clean good customer service and fast service a lot of good stuff.
Its a great market and I shop for groceries here every week. However, Ive been finding a ton of expired items being sold. Just now, a huge amount of eggs being sold expired almost a week ago. All the items from 3 different brands! Now Im checking the expiration date of every single item I buy here. Employees were helpful once I notified them, but still.. this cant happen.
Nobhill I will miss you, why dont you have any stores east coast. You are the only thing Ill miss now that Ive moved out of Cali!!!
Great variety of products and very good quality, but employees could be friendlier. Please get rid of those security guards; they behave like Gestapo wannabes and are absolutely hostile, except for one lady who is very nice.
They have a wide variety of interesting items throughout the store. I also like the fact that everyone is friendly and helpful, which makes shopping much more enjoyable. Love the produce and fish departments!
Clean, well kept, lines were short. Selection of beef was good as well as the prices.
Great first time experience there. Layout is best Ive seen, and without all the normal overcrowding. Helpful staff.
I like the look of the interior of this store, a little more honey and not sore stark. Easy to get around and a good lay out.like the bakery and the deli has some good choices also. The dont have baggers any more and that does slow things down.
I went for the USPS services. Wish I remembered the ladys name who helped me. She was great! I had to return a sort if heavy Amazon purchase and send my taxes. Seems easy. But not on crutches!
The store is very clean. Pretty well stocked. You must have a mask on, most shoppers are social distancing.
Nice store, but after 5 years of going there, I give up. Since this virus nonsense, they act like I shouldnt be there, I feel unwelcome, although I am wearing mask and good clothes, I feel they want me out of there. Maybe they would prefer illegals and protestors. Well, Im out.
Good sense of covid 19 regulations, that we need. Thank you Nob Hill!!!
Today, 6/8/20, there were many employees who were not wearing their masks and some dont even keep 6ft social distance. After listening the news that there was a significant increase of confirmed cases of covid 19 in one day, there dhould be concern. The covid virus line is not getting flat but getting higher and we are expecting a second wave. The store is not taking seriously the spreading of the virus. The other day I saw an employee arranging the fruit and at the same time putting fruit in his mouth. obviously he leaves his saliva in the fruit. What the heck then do we need to wear the mask for? Nobhill needs to take its clients health more seriously
Better shopping experience in comparison to a Safeway but not significant enough to justify the extra $$ for the same products. The coffee shop and bakery has limited items but spacious seating area to enjoy a cup of coffee with a croissant.
Good selection of all kinds of food, organic and non-organic options, great liquor section. But everything is a little more expensive than other supermarkets in the area. I guess you pay a little extra for the range, and the vibe is much more calm and polite than some places!
My favorite grocery store! Very good selection of fresh food, many organic selections. Very good deli, which includes sushi chef. My favorite however, because it is well lighted and has wider asiles and good signage. Always clean. Staff seem happy and have always been helpful. Parking : no problem. It is a stop on the free Mt View/ Google shuttle.
Good grocery store with other amenities such as a post office, US bank, good selection of cook foods with a nice indoor & outdoor patio to eat your food at. They also have Peets coffee station which is excellent coffee. They dont do enough advertising for their grocery sale items which would be more helpful, otherwise a good place.
The store is usually clean and decently stocked, and not often too busy. I dont drink much wine but they have a decent selection of beer also.My issue is their creeping prices. I stopped by for a breakfast sandwich from their deli counter and realized that some time in the last 90 days theyve increased the price by 45% ! Now an item which is comparable to a $4 Starbucks breakfast sandwich is $6.50 with tax. So much for that morning ritual. Their dwindling power as a quick sandwich counter is going to completely disappear if this is their strategy.
Smaller than a typical supermarket, but has pretty much everything we need - from steel-cut breakfast oats and ice cream to sushi and fresh fruit. Great quality too.
I normally like this store, but because I had to wait in an outrageously long line on a Saturday afternoon around slow, inconsiderate customers, this store automatically gets one star until they apologize. Unless there is a hurricane or a super bowl, nobody should EVER have to wait in line for a half hour for an ordinary grocery trip.I wanted to put all my groceries back on the shelves and leave in protest, but that would have taken too long also.
This place is so well-stocked, with such lovely staff folks (I mean, really, super nice people who remember repeat customers), that although we moved to San Jose from Mountain View, I STILL GO HERE FOR GROCERIES. I drive ALL THAT WAY because its super clean, has great produce and, most importantly, is never stupidly crowded like every other grocery store Ive been to in the Bay.Wait. I mean... This place sucks. Dont go. Ever. Especially on Monday nights around 7. No no. SO bad.
