Really wonderful store with a great selection of grilling equipment and supplies. The atmosphere is more pleasant and inviting than the competing big box hardware stores. The nursery is also nice as well.

Find the helpful hardware folks first and then ask them where those thingamajigs can be found or play a game of charades so they can give name to what youre specifically looking for. They might respond Little Mermaid style: Ive got gadgets and gizmos a-plentyIve got whozits and whatzits galore. You want thingamabobs?Ive got twenty!Walk the daily Fitbit steps in this humongous store in search of a tiny package of glass glue, or n95 mask, or dowel. For an extra hour visit the garden nursery for native grass or white lavender potted plants. If its on the to do list, they probably have it.

Delighted with my purchase experience. I had gone looking to replace my car key battery and had no idea how to chose the right battery or fix it inside the key. Roger was extremely patient with me and fixed batteries in my car keys. He is knowledgeable and fun to speak with. I am very impressed with range of products, customer experience and clear communication from all staff.

While we all miss Orchard, Ace is convenient for most things. Not as happy with all the Ace generic equivalents for parts like plumbing, etc., but its nice avoiding the Monster warehouse stores sometimes.

My visit here was useful since I found what I needed.I was looking to buy a certain item that home depot didnt have.

Beautiful store, they have it all.. if they dont have it you dont need it because their knowledgeable and helpful employees can tell you a better way,Tools or supplies for the job. Especially Doug in tools. Every wife sent to the store for something you know nothing about knows what Im talking about... Doug made it easy and fast, showed me where all the great deals where and made a tool purchase suggestion that made the job much easier. Thank you Doug. From the girl sent to the store in search of a better way to remove marble counters without them breaking. Someone give that man a raise!

Definitely one of the largest Ace Hardwares around. It is the old Orchard Supply Hardware location. Prices are higher than elsewhere, but the selection of small parts particularly with fasteners is remarkable. Very clean and well stocked.

Its OK. It replaced Orchard Supply Hardware and does a just-OK job of doing so. However in trying to be OSH they forgot to be ACE. This store lacks the random bins of various hardware knick knacks that were a main reason I went to the other ACE stores.Also while ACE is very close to TOO helpful at other locations-- being asked if I need help several times, the employees I saw were just talking to each other (key dept) or nowhere to be seen aside from the registers.So this is neither OSH or ACE. I was looking for ACE and Ill have to go to another location. One thing this location has that you wont see at most ACE stores is the big garden section with live plants that they have revived from the old OSH.Paint is also expensive for their middle and entry level choices.

Nice large Ace- one of the biggest Ive been to lotta friendly staff in there - it’s more like a small Home Depot but the lot more items and easier to find what you need.Prices are same as with any other ace. Easy access off the freeway

I love the vibe of this location. I had an emptiness in my heart from losing OSH and they filled it by hiring the former members of OSH from SV and Mountain View. That was awesome about the former stores and I am excited to see familiar faces. 😊Great variety in this store, similar to OSH so I will definitely be shopping here instead of the Big Box hardware and garden stores.Thank you Ace for bringing back a community oriented store under a new brand. Sometimes I find their employees lacking knowledge about specific things like how to do a Co2 exchange.

First time visiting this location since Sunnyvale closed. Store is clean, well organized, and most of all, staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked visiting this store. Although smaller than Lowes or Home Depot, I definitely want to come back again.

Clean and good selection of basically anything. this place has built me a lot of projects, however I got a power tool and the old man helping me had this Nasty scowl and was super unpleasant and was a turnoff for getting more tools. I opted to and continue to build my Milwaukee lineup at home depot, anything but power tools and this place is where I would recommend

While this store is clean, well organized, and in a handy location, I have been disappointed to find items I would have liked to buy out of stock. On my last visit they appeared to have a good selection of Christmas items although I was not in the market for that now so I cant comment on the prices. I have found their staff to be helpful, friendly, and efficient.

Maybe Im out of touch but I always thought Ace hardware was the neighborhood hardware store. But this one here in mountain view is pretty darn big... Not quite like a home Depot or an OSH but way bigger than other Ace hardwares and Ive been in.

I really like this store and it has a great selection, but right now I have to do curbside pickup and Im giving it 3 stars for its quality control on delivery. Just about every time there has been a mispick of some kind. This last time was the worst when I got two rolls of toilet paper for $49.98 (instead of two cartons). Not even close, and clearly the picker had their eyes shut doing this work. The staff has always courteously fixed any problems and I keep going back. But make sure you check your order while youre there.

Came in here to get some plants and the selection was OK. Not a lot of herbs, the succulent section was good, and the fellow who worked in the nursery was helpful.The store is really good about social distancing practices, weve had to wait in line but it wasnt that long of a wait. Everything looked super clean and they wiped the carts down which was nice!

Caveat - I like hardware stores. They usually have the item I came in for, and usually have sufficient employees walking around who can provide assistance in finding items. And the checkout folks are usually very nice

Most of the older employees were not wearing the masks correctly (under their nose) or not wearing a mask at all inside of the store. Were setting record breaking case numbers and death tolls daily in California, it would have been nice to see precautionary measures in line with county orders taken seriously....

With a great location a few doors down from Costco, this location was renovated toward the end of the OSH era, and it is a physically please store to shop at.This is a midsized store, much larger than most ACE neighborhood shops, and much smaller than the big box competitors. As a result, the selection appears to be slightly better than most ACE stores, with the associated issue of staff not always know exactly where an item is located.This store is still struggling to get the level of foot traffic one would expect from its size, and from not yet having a lot of long tenured staff. If you havent been there recently, it is worth checking out, hopefully with more business we will see improvements in what should be a great local hardware retail location.

I went to get paint and both times louis helped me behind the paint counter and was insanely helpful getting me exactly the color i needed at a really good price and was overall really nice. he is my favorite worker there and whenever i go in i will make sure to look out for him.

I am so happy ACE Hardware is open in this location. It is so convenient for us. I have been there for so many times. You can find all the common things for repairing house, gardening things. Recently I found they repair window screen frames and replace the screens too, that just what I need!

This store has everything! I was able to get gloves, weed killer, steel wool, picture hanger and K cups coffee. Very well stocked & lots of helpful employees

I would not shop at this store nor order anything online from ace.com. Horrible experience with both. I got the email saying my order was ready for pick up. Went the store waiting for 30 minutes only to have the guy come back and say he couldnt find my order and asked if I wanted to cancel the order or re-order and wait another week for it to come in. I asked for a manger and was told there are none at this location. I called the customer service order desk. Waited on hold for 60 minutes. I was told half the order was in and the other half would be in on Monday. Later in the day I got an email saying that the order was cancelled. I called the customer service desk and waited on hold for 2 hours only for the agent to say there was nothing she can do. The order is cancelled. I will try not to ever shop at Ace Hardware again.

This location was formerly an Orchard Supply Hardware for many years. OSH had previously expanded the store in the twenty-teens to a large format filling a niche between a typical neighborhood hardware store and a full-size Home Depot or Lowes.ACE renovated the layout once again when they took over, but kept the medium-large format with a garden center, power tool aisle, hardware section with a good variety of metric and specialty fasteners, work clothes, housewares, etc. They cut keys. The sell barbecues. They sell common project metals like mild steel and aluminum by the rod, tube, angle and sheet. They have a small-ish lumber selection but definitely have the essentials like 2x4 and plywood. They sell propane. They exchange 5 gallon water jugs.Besides the inventory, there are lots of thoughtful touches in this store, like putting pickling salt next to the mason jars.All that said, dont expect them to have everything for every project. Recent example, they dont carry scroll saw blades. Which is fine. Thats not a tool most shoppers will be looking for.

What a great customer service experience. I had come to the store with my baby yesterday to purchase a cooler that was on sale for Father’s Day but ended up not getting it because I didn’t have help (I also didn’t ask though) with the plan to come back today sans baby. I actually ended up at another Ace only to find out they no longer were having the sale, and they did not want to honor it. Desperately needing a cooler for our upcoming road trip I called this location, and spoke with one of the managers who told me another manager would call me back. I honestly didn’t think I’d get a callback but the wonderful manager by the name of Rigo called me back and was kind enough to honor the discount. So thankful to have kind people at my neighborhood ACE! Thank you so much!

All the employees are great. I needed assistance, and I was able to get it right away. They are all team players. I needed to pick up something from the pickup area, but the employee was on his lunch. He was kind enough to call for help and someone came right away.

Store is well lit. And there always seems to be a person nearby to offer assistance...
