Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They replaced a broken string for my guitar on the spot with no charge while other places asked me to wait fo 1-3 days. I will definitely go back for all my guitar needs going forward.

Very helpful staff. Went above and beyond to help my son for his first year in school band.

Took my flute collection in for a possible tune up. Was told that all but one of the flutes were unplayable. Guess my looks or money werent what they accepted there. Took my non playable flutes, and commenced to use them to busk, there in downtown Mtn View. Odd that they were declared unplayable, yet I was playing at least one of them not 30 minutes later. Care to explain West Valley Music staff ?

Its a bit cramped, but the shop houses many musical instruments for purchase or rent as well as an array of soundproof booths for practicing! Some classes exist for some of the instruments at different levels.

This is an absolutely wonderful place with amazing vibes. I just visited these guys to get a guitar box to have a guitar shipped and the lady in charge here (sorry, couldnt get your name) and the girl behind the counter went absolutely out of their way to help me.Now Im thinking of buying a new guitar just so I have a legit reason to visit these guys again.

We bought a flute for my daughter Alison here. Diana brought four or five flutes into a practice room and helped my daughter choose the best fit. Took all the time we needed to make the best choice possible.

Friendly & Knowledgeable staff. My son is taking ukulele Lessons here one night a week. They have several rooms for instructing all kinds of musical instruments. These rooms are so quiet that you can barely hear any sound in the hallway. Truly amazing.I would recommend this place for buying musical instruments and / or taking lessons.Aurel

We rent violin for our kid’ string class here. The staffs were nice and very helpful. The instrument we got was very good quality. We tried to rent from 2 different music places before and weren’t able to get as good quality of product and service.

One of the very few shops that carry wide range of classic collections and music sheets. It is a small shop, very organised and it carries much more than you can imagine. They have many versions of classical sheets as well as best original ones. Great job!

Nice and helpful staff and fair prices, unfortunately Im a drummer so there werent so many drum stuff there. But I would highly recommend the store for pianists or violin players. But as a drummer I would recommend guitar center.

This is a real old fashioned musical instruments store. You cannot only take a look at them but also try them out. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and competent.They also have cabins for lessons with a teacher.I can only highly recommend this store for any serious musician and beginning student alike and hope it will stay there for more generations of musicians to come.

I wanted a piano stand from Yamaha and they didn’t have any in stock so they ordered one online, but Yamaha only ships when they have enough ideas so I’ve been waiting for two weeks now and still not shipped. Maybe there’s a better way to do it. Getting the stand somewhere else.Overall the staff are nice and helpful.

I highly recommend this place if you are looking for an instrument especially a professional model. I bought a professional clarinet from here a while ago and whenever I had a problem the manager personally took care of me. She even offered to lend me her own clarinet when I had to get the clarinet adjusted and ship my clarinet to me after it was finished!Overall, I had a very accommodating and positive experience.

This has quickly become my new favorite spot to pick up a pack of strings. They are polite and have the standard selection of guitar strings but keep in mind the focus of this shop seems to be band rentals, sheet music, and knick-knacks. Their site does not have their inventory but I strongly recommend calling ahead and seeing if they have what you need before making the drive to one of the big box shops.

Best and only musical instruments store in town. The folks here are very friendly and they have all the instruments and supplies you would ever need. One time I went in to have my sons amplifier and guitar set checked out. We had bought it from them a few days prio. Ian helped me out and discovered we had a bad amp wire. He replaced it with a high quality amp wire for free. Friendly and superb service!!

The service was awesome! They were knowledgeable as heck about trumpet and trombone mutes, as well as their sheet music. Unfortunately they were fresh out of Wah-Wah mutes, but they were very cool about recommending stores that would have them and helped me out intensely. A++, will return for a purchase some day soon. I stopped in to buy new strings for my electric guitar and was surprised to find a good selection of accessories in addition to the brass and woodwind instruments they have on hand. They have a few guitars covering a decent price range, but they are definitely not what I would consider a guitar shop. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, and I know that Ill be going back for any other music related purchases in the future.

The employees here are very kind and helpful, and they all seem to enjoy being with each other. Walking into WVM is like walking into a family-owned business. You get a sense of camaraderie when youre inside. I love this place; they seem to carry almost everything from Celtic soulstones to banjos to French horns. Their shelves are nearly swollen with all of their fruitful musicbooks, and instruments are in the open and ready to play on. There are adorable music trinkets aplenty here as well. This is my all-time favorite music place. Its like a sanctuary of music education. Please visit.

We went to this store to buy my sister a clarinet for her instrument, and the service was wonderful. There were many choices, and they helped us a lot on accessories (such as reeds) and the book she needed. We found everything we needed and are going to return shortly to rent another instrument.

Ive been coming here for years and this shop is a real treasure. Their strongest suit is the enormous number of books they have, followed closely by the fact that the owners a flutist and theyre very strong in the flute, sax, and clarinet departments, plus having a fair number of very nice trumpets/cornets/flugelhorns on display. Plus they have a lot of fun things like recorders, ocarinas, and the amazing Maui Xaphoon. Very nice and helpful folks!

Average music supply store, at best. Staff is disorganized and has lost orders on multiple occassions. Stock is geared toward elementary music. Lessons are offered in the back, which leaves the main shop quite crowded with parents waiting for their kids. Acceptable, but not outstanding shop.
