Great place for bulk pet food as well as garden and yard tools and supplies. They also have a great supply of jeans and work clothes. People there are friendly and very helpful! Not just for us country folk, but for anyone wanting to save some money.

Buy dog food, guns and ammo there. All very reasonably priced. The employees are a little lacking in knowing what is and isnt there. Asked about certain shirts and was told they didnt have any. Buy they did in fact have them. So I wouldnt call to ask about what is available in the store. Just go. You will find something to buy! Lol

I love Rural King. Our Muncie store is a good one. I have purchased everything from tractor implements, to pet food, to canning jars, to food items at this store. I have even used their service department to fix a PTO shaft. I am always happy with them. Even the extra things like free popcorn do not go unnoticed. I look forward to my next trip!

I love this rural king. I have done business here for over 10 years and will continue to do so. I drive (currently as I am temporarily living in Missouri) 8 hours one way just to get my butterscotch root beer here. They also carry a wide variety of things that I can only find IN THIS STORE! Kudos to RK for being my store of choice.

Done shopping here. I LOVE Rural King! However they must have found their store manager from the Jerry Springer show. Several people in the food area, and then LOUDLY over the intercom you here Security, please scan the food area. Security, please scan the food area. Everyone, VERY uncomfortably, starts looking around at each other. How trashy is that?!?! What store manager would ALLOW such discomfort on ALL of their customers?!?!?!

Staff always is helpful. Good popcorn too. You can find a lot of different items here from some groceries to feed for livestock and other farming tools.

Love this place, good prices. Sales person in gun area had no idea about the pistol magnets you had advertised. I have tried twice to buy some. Yea limited stock but if you only have a couple dont put them in the ads. I drive 30 miles each time there and back 60 total to be told no or I dont know.

Great all around shop you have farm, ranch, pet, sporting goods, pew pews, clothing, footwear, snacks, basic home goods, hardware, plumbing, automotive, grilling outdoor furniture, generators, chainsaws, POWER TOOLS, and more.RK is definitely Muncies Milwaukee and Dewalt headquarters.

Good product but those young boys need some real training! Every question we had they kept calling the same person over and over again. If youre going to keep calling the same person why didnt that person just come and help us. They sent 3 guys for the fencing and one just stood there as uf he were off the clock. I ask for the manager to finally get everything we needed. And it still took 3 trips across town. Good old customer service. Good old workers not afraid to work. Both are non factors in this case.

I could spend hours even days in here without any concept of time because I love everything about these stores in every department. Something about the diyer in me. Free popcorn and lots of things to look at and provide for your farm or homestead or even just your small lot. Theres something for everyone here. And everyone here are kind and courteous.

WE BOUGHT a rototiller and salesman, Tyler, was awesome! Bot some plants and inside they didnt even help me get them.into the cart..no help putting on a tray..didnt even help or give me a tray...gal at cash register had no common sense!! Another bad experience. When we arrived there were no carts. When I said something about it an employee very rudely all my people are looking for them. I went back out and no employees in the parking lot. Grabbed a cart and told her how funny that I was able to find one when they couldnt. Also asked employee for help and he said as he walked away Im busy . 1 employee was very helpful out of everyone there. Just because you are busy doesnt mean you have to be rude. Customer service is nonexistent at this store. It has been getting bad for awhile as we have been customers for years.

This store is dirty and disorganized. Employees need training to say yes sir/ma’am. A little effort would go a long way. I’ll still go because it’s rural king but you know a well managed location when you see one and this is lacking.

I shop here because there are items that I just can’t get anywhere else, Such as livestock feed. They used to have some of the best tortilla chips in the state, El Milagro, and it’s too bad that they don’t carry them anymore. Are used to make trips to the store just for those.

The store was better a few years ago. Went to shop for boots. Drove about half a hour to shop at this store because the boot section was always great. Not so much now. It was just empty it was unorganized with the wrong boot and shoes in every slot and half of what was there wasnt even in the right place. So spend $150 to $200 plus dollars on a pair of boots it seems like the would wanna try to get your business. Oh well. I will try another store/business.

While I was there, staff was not very friendly, and the only open register was the customer service desk... where there were 4 or 5 employees standing around seemingly chatting while one of them assisted a customer. After waiting a few minutes, someone realized I was also waiting and opened another register. Usually I dont have this problem here though. The store is generally organized and prices are good, especially items in the weekly ad.

It took me 15 minutes to find what I wanted. Took same amount of time to check out.

Denied .357 magnum because i’m under 21. I explained the carbine exception to the older man behind the gun counter. Told him I owned a lever action chambered in that caliber.His explanation was that “I don’t feel comfortable with it”.He looks like one of the types to say “My rights don’t end where your feelings begin” and then pull the hypocritical BS he did today.Tried to phone the manager and was put on hold for 20 minutes, only to be lied to about it being a store policy.Wouldn’t recommend buying here unless you’re in the geriatric population that also thinks it’s illegal for an 18 year old to possess a handgun. Not sure about some. If you sell a chain saw why cant you sell the chain to replace a bad one? Use to you did. We baught a huskavarna chain saw there a few years ago. Use to we could get chains. We would of baught at least 2 this evening, but you dont have them any more. We will shop else where.

Im from California visiting my dad who placed a .22 cal. rifle on Lay-a-way a month ago. We go in to pay the balance and the salesman Sees me pull the money out of my pocket and came unhinged. Didnt want anything to do withbreaking the law by selling a firearm to an unknown. Yes, Ive should have known. We even left the store, went to dads bank, returned with dads cash, asked for manager to assist us only to have him return dads down payment and asked us to leave. Looks like were close to loosing our gun rights in the near future. (and squirrel hunting)

Prices are a bit too high and its always messy, cluttered and dirty. You can count on standing in line at the register because there are never many open. Staff seems confused a lot as well. But you can usually find what you are looking for. Good location is the only reason it got a 3 instead of the 2 stars it deserves.

Checking out here is always an issue. The store is fine but they dont keep enough lanes open and somthings always broke.

Love going to rural king. I like to take the grandkids in to see the baby chicks, ducks, ect...its the only place Ill buy my trash bags. And they have tons of candy to choose from! I am disappointed that they no longer do popcorn. I always looked fwd to shopping while eating thier popcorn.

Weve had no end to problems with this store. Some time ago, my wife and I went in and were stopped at the door, because her purse looked too much like a backpack. We were told that she would have to leave it in the car. We went to Tractor Supply instead, but I did call their corporate number to let them know that if thats their policy thats fine and thats their right, but its also why we took our business elsewhere.I got a call back from a district manager pretty quickly, who told me that was absolutely not their policy, that he definately didnt want them telling people it was their policy, and that he would talk to the store manager and make sure we didnt run into that problem again. A couple weeks later we went back, and got stopped again. We left, and I called the district manager again to let him know what happened. He told me that he would go to the store and handle the matter personally.We went back about a month later, and got stopped while shopping by a woman once again telling my wife she had to give up her purse. I still had the district managers number in my call history, so I just called him directly, explained the situation, and handed the phone to her. After he spoke with her she gave me the phone back, and he apologized one again, saying that he wasnt sure why we kept having this problem but that we would make sure he would straighten it out.After that we didnt return for several months, because there was obviously some disconnect between corporate and store management. But my wifes Grandfather came to town on his birthday and wanted to go to Rural King, so we went back.This time my wife, who was walking with her 84 year old Grandfather, was stopped by another woman who demanded she turn her purse over so that it could be searched for stolen product. They werent even leaving the store yet, they were still browsing. She was absolutely mortified. I told her that if it happened again, to tell them that she would be happy to let a uniformed police officer search her purse if they wanted to call one out there.She has a different purse now, but our diaper bag still looks a bit like a backback, so were legitimately afraid to walk into the store for fear well be harrassed.The one time weve gone back over the past few months the store seemed to have no concern whatsoever about the safety of their customers or employees during the pandemic. Most of the customers, and even several of the employees, were not wearing any masks or face shields in spite of the state orders, so we left and went to a competitor instead.Gave them two stars because they do have a decent selection and prices, and it could be a great place to shop if the employees were properly trained to not be hostile towards the customers.

What is wrong with all the Rural King locations in this area? The aisles are always littered with animal feed and boxes. Nothing is clearly marked with the price, several aisles in every location, every single time Ive gone have had safety hazards, ei: grain or food spilled all over the aisles, stuff protruding from shelves into the walk ways, product unsafely stacked. The staff is always friendly, but untrained and uninformed. The prices and selections are usually great, but they have to get better at managing and organizing their stores.
