First off, they are very vague on pricing. They gave me a price for replacing a hard drive. I had them complete the work. Once the work was complete, I was called and informed that I was being charged for $100 in labor, which was never mentioned. I was never told about their cost of labor. They basically charged me $300 for a 4 year old laptop that was $300 when I bought it. When I arrived, they had 2 young teenagers working the front, and I truly believe that was due to them knowing I was upset at the hidden charges. Then, once I arrive back home and begin to boot up my laptops, It gives me an error message stating that my hard drive (which was just replaced), was not installed.Secondly, I had them repair 2 laptops, both had 1TB hard drives already. They were replaced with smaller (SSD) hard drives, (much smaller). I was charged almost $600 total to repair these laptops, and one of them isnt working. They did drop the price by about $80 to make me happy. But honestly, I am getting more and more upset, the more I think about it. I will be going back tomorrow to have them fix my non-working laptop, and I hope to have a better experience.

No response on a bid to replace the screen protector as advertised on Facebook. Came to the business to try in person [cos it was cracked bad, ok?], the rep behind the counter had no idea what I was talking about and copped an attitude that I was asking. I should have known when I saw laundry slung over the railing (plainly visible from the parking lot) that I was not about to have a professional experience. Not recommended.

I brought my laptop in to get fixed because the screen was broke. They said they would look at it and get back to me in a day or two. They never called me so a week later I go into the shop and check on it and they still have not checked it over. The next day I called them(they never called me) to see about it getting fixed and they said it needed a new screen and they told me the price. It was $300 more than Best Buy but they could get fixed quicker so I agreed with the price and told them to fix it. I was told it would only take a couple of days. I called back three days later and it was fixed but was then told it would be another $200 more now, I told them I was only going to pay the price I agreed to and not s penny more. I went to pick it up and the screen worked but the keyboard didnt, which it was working when I dropped it off. They said they would fix it quick and have it back to me the next day. Two days later I call and ask if it is fixed and they said it was. I drive over there again and it was working but some of my apps were not working, which should have not been touched since my screen was the only thing broke. I would not use them again and I highly recommend to others the same. The owner listened to my complaint but only gave me $15 off for all my trouble and driving back and forth to their shop. There is no customer communication, they change the price of what they quote you and you have to check to make sure it is working before you walk out the door. They didnt even check to see if my laptop was working properly.

Went in for my charging port to be fixed, got the phone back two days later and my screen no longer worked and it restarted on its own every couple of minutes (Both things that werent a problem before I took my phone here). I tried taking it back up a few times and when Id pick it up at the end of the day theyd tell me they didnt have time to get to it, which is fixing something they broke. This past time I got there at 10:45 a.m., they open at 10 and no one was there and the door was locked. Pretty much a waste of time and money because my phone is now worse after taking it to them.

Took my computer in because it wouldnt come on...John took a look at it and said he would take a look at it and it would take about 30 minutes I had to run another errand and before I even got to my next stop about 15 minutes he call and had it up and running......I felt like he saved my life. He was so kind and helpful, and he total charge was less that it would have cost me to go else where for the to just look at it and do nothing. Will definitely keep in them in my files for future repairs. Thank you again John I appreciate all you did.

My roommate dropped my laptop and it would no longer start so we took it here to get it fixed. Only took about a day and a half to repair it and now the laptop works with no problems. Price was fairly cheap and with me being a student, I got a discount so that was a bonus

I called this business for help fixing a flash drive. Their posted hours are from 9am-6pm weekdays. I came in at 9am on a Wednesday and waited until 9:15am no one opened. Then I called on Thursday at 5pm, spoke to someone and told them I was coming in to get my flash drive looked at. I arrived at 5:30 pm and no one was there or answered the phone. I would never recommend this business to anyone.

John, the new manager, was extremely friendly, funny, and quick with his service without rushing me. And my part was almost half as expensive as it would have been at Office Depot. After helping me with my finish up my first PC build, I’ll definitely be coming back when I need help.

Hey, this place ROCKS! Its in the name. I had a short in my usb which in turn fried my motherboard. Dropped it off with Demetrius at 9am yesterday for a diagnostics and he had an answer by noon. I gave the go ahead to fix the motherboard and I just picked it up today at 1. Super fast service! Highly recommended!!

Last date I was there to get my Ellipse tablet and one of the laptops was 23 Aug 2018. John at Computer Rocks saved my life today. My flash drive broke in half and it contained several important work files. First, I took it to CompuMax USA on Old Fort and, after examining the flash drive for a few minutes, the guy told me that it was permanently lost. He also said (and Im quoting his exact words) Im really good at what I do. If I cant fix it, nobody in town will be able to do it. Since I couldnt let my hopes die just yet, I took it to Computer Rocks. I talked to John and he said that he would give it a try. There would be NO CHARGES if he couldnt get the files. Two hours later, he called me that my files were ready to be uploaded into a new flash drive. It cant get any better than that!

My husband took a phone there to have the charging port repaired. They took the phone to the back, examined it, and then quoted him a repair price of $100. Husband wanted to think about it, as the phone was only $250 and we considered just getting another phone. Before making a decision, he took the phone somewhere else and learned there was nothing wrong with the phone, it was the charger! So they tried to RIP my husband off by charging $100 to repair a phone that was not broken. SCAMMERS.

Amazing service! The guy helping me actually called me a few times during the process to update me on what was going on. He said it was one thing which was expensive but I need my computer and agreed to have it fixed by him. He called me back and apologized because he found the actual issue which was actually cheaper that previously quoted. To me that says a lot about a company. Instead of just charging me to fix the higher values issue they admitted their mistake. They have to order my part so I have my computer back and working for now but I have to take it back in a few days to get the part installed. Paid Half up front and the other half will be paid when the part comes in and is installed. To me thats a pretty good deal. Their bench fee is cheaper than best buy. Bench fee is basically you paying them to check it out and to get it back you have to pay. The last time i took something to best buy it was like 99 Comouter rocks is like 25...so way cheaper. Definitely coming back if I have other issues. Thank you!

Poor customer service. I was treated very rudely on my first visit.And I got fleas from the cats all over the place. (Place smells of cat pee.)So, on the second occasion I called, I asked for the Home Service they offer. They were sullen & resentful. They were openly hostile.These people are computer savvy, but not Human Liveware Compatible, if you know what I mean.

I brought my MacBook here earlier this month for a screen replacement. They told me it would take 5 days at most to fix and charged me half of the total amount upfront. I called back after a week of hearing nothing and they say they’ve ordered the wrong color screen. After a total of almost 3 weeks and 3 times they had supposedly ordered the wrong screen, they did not want to refund me and said that they had no proof of my payment. Finally I go in with my bank statement showing where they charged me and get a refund and they charge me $70 for running diagnostics and my computer was in the exact same condition it was when I brought it in. They are very unprofessional and they aren’t even technologically savvy. The guy at the counter had to call his boss and have him walk him through how to give me a refund! If I could give them 0 stars, I would because they don’t even deserve one.

I had trouble with my MAC book laptop and decided to take it to the gentlemen at Compu-Rocks. My twins poured water on it so I told my wife to turn off the laptop and let it dry for 24 hours. Well that worked for like two days then the sound and the keys went out. When i told the gentlemen what was going on with my system they told me that i should have brought it to them immediately. They even gave me a loner laptop to use while they were working on my MAC. They were up front with me about the cost if i had to change the mother board, They told me it would be a 50/50 chance that they could save it without me having to replace the motherboard. Well I am thankful that they were able to save it. I was more than happy with the cost that I had to pay for them fixing my laptop.And will most definitely use their service in the future.

AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!Be careful with these people, please take my experience as an advice and save yourself the struggle.I took my laptop to ComputerRocks because it would not turn on, after they did a diagnostic it turned out to be motherboard, so agreed on replacing it. I had no idea this was going to be the begging of an ordeal, i wish i would have known better. It took them 2 months to receive the replacement part, which is super easy to find everywhere. I kept going to their location and calling constantly, only to be told that the part had not yet arrived. On one of those occasions, the person at the desk pointed at a package and said, this is actually your motherboard, it just came in. Well, another week passed and i returned to check on the progress. The person again told me, the motherboard just arrived yesterday. Maybe he thought i forgot i was just told that the previous week. Anyways, another week passed and i finally received a call from them, now my battery was apparently bad. Strange thing because it seemed to be working fine before the computer died on me, this person tried to charge me over $100 dollars for $50 dollar battery that does not require any special tools to install, it comes off just like a cell phone battery. After a long discussion and wanting to just get my computer back, i paid $75. Another 2 weeks passed, till i finally received the call that my computer was ready. I took it home and realized that the keyboard was not lighting up, so i brought it. It was working perfectly before. I told the person that i did not want this to take weeks, but of course it did. 2 weeks after i received a call, they were telling me that in order to fix the lights it was going to cost me an extra $75 dollars. I told them that my keyboard was working perfectly before they fixed the computer, he told me they was going to do something and call me. Thinking they were going to fix it, i let another week pass. When i finally went to see what was happening with my computer, the person there told me that they did not do anything because i did not agree to the $75 dollar charge. After spending over $400 dollars, waiting over 3 months for something that should have taken a week, they could not make things right by at least giving me my computer back the way it was.It is sad how businesses take advantage of customers. As a business owner myself, if i know we made a mistake, especially a 3 month mistake. The least i can do for my customers, is to make sure they leave happy and wanting to return. At the end, that is where the profit comes, not by trying to make an additional $75 dollar from someone. I ended up just taking my computer form them, with my keyboard not working. Please be very careful, there are so many more places that are better.

Took my laptop to them. Was told it was a motherboard. I authorized to get part at a price quoted. Called two weeks later and part not ordered, would make sure it was ordered. 6 months later have not heard a peep from them.Did they miss the low price and have part go out of stock? IDK. Is it back ordered with a date available? IDK.My advice, dont bother.

I feel some of these reviews are fake. I went here years ago and was taken for a 9 month ride. Go somewhere else that doesnt respond to a Google review with a long flaming rant.Also be wary of reviews that only have one review in their profile, I understand bad reviews only having one, but only one? Im sensing some b.s. so I decided to leave a one star.Also publishing private stuff that you did for customers on the Internet as a response is unprofessional. I went to computer rocks in search of a new pc so i could play conan exiles. John (hope i spelled that right 😆) was there to help me out. He checked out my laptop and while he waa doing so i had a look around the store. I saw a pc with no casing and when i asked about it he explained that it was fully funtional. So i asked how much. Long story short he sold me his custom project and did everything he could to install a new graphics card and supporting drivers. He made sure to it all immediately so i didnt have to wait another day to play my game. Great service. Thanks again John!

I came in to get my screen replaced on my iPhone 6. I was told by one of the workers it would be $59 to fix then came back the next day to get told it is $79 to fix. The employee did not believe I was quoted $59 and seemed unbothered and unphased about the situation. Terrible service.

Had to have my families computers fixed a few times from the kids breaking them or tearing them up. i didnt need any stuff saved so for $80 a pop, it was a deal. fixed all 3 up in 2 days, very satisfied. they even helped me install my printer over remote control when i lost my disc for no extra charge.

Today, I went to Walmart, Bestbuy and other local stores to find a replaced laptop charger. It seems the product on the market is just not what I want, e.g. the one in bestbuy has too many ports, it seems the charger can be used for many devices, it was too complicated. I just need a charger to power my pc, and gets my work done.Finally, I found the one here at computer rocks, Mr. Omar is a nice guy, their customer service is great. It saved me some dollars. I would recommend if you need charger or other computer accessories, it would be good place to shop around. They also have some tech service for various types of pc, mac, etc. Just keep it, in case you need fix your pc, computer, or other mobile devices.

Not good service. Was told $20 to install a memory chip that I had purchased. Price increased to $100 after they opened it up. I refused and took it home!I will not go back..... Uncomfortable situation. I did not appreciate the way they manhandled my laptop!

Did a bad replacement on my phone . Button jiggles, screen obviously been used, and whenever I call, the sensor bar on the top wont activate and will keep my screen responsive and let it click random buttons during a call. And also had to wait a lengthy amount of time for a replacement chip. Not a place I would recommend.
