Lovely facility. The oils are stored in large containers that resemble coffee urns. The oils are pre-bottled on a shelf under the urns.I was looking for a particular Portuguese olive oil, but they had no Portuguese oils at all. After trying several others, I noticed that I was beginning to experience a slightly bitter after taste. The clerk said this was to be expected, however, I have not experienced bitterness with EVOO in the past.In any event, I came back to a Spanish oil recommended by the clerk as being the owners favorite, Spanish Picual, and purchased a bottle (375 ml) for $21.00. Upon returning home, I got out some french bread and gave the oil a try. It was extremely bitter. I tried it along side some Italian EVOO I like which has no bitterness at all. I repeated the comparison several days later, today in fact. The Picual was so bitter that I discarded the remaining oil.I do intend to give the Epicurean Olive Oil Co another try. Perhaps I got hold of an old, stale bottle.
