Great place to visit for Korean ingredients. They have some classic Asian staples (soy sauce, rice, etc) but where it shines is the Korean items. I found a very fair priced fermented soybeans, spices, etc.I was so happy and surprised to find this. Like another reviewer said this is definitely a hidden gem! This had a lot of cool items you can get and some Korean sushi and sides as well. I will be back!
Friendly staff and great store. They have a big selection on Korean goods and some Japanese goods as well. They have prepared bulgogi meats, ban chan, homemade gallon jar kimchee, traditional sweets and the BEST gimbap, ever! This is by far, my favorite Korean store in Utah.
This little market is in a strip mall that if you didnt know where you were going youd miss it completely. Its usually busy and you have dodge other shoppers cuz it is pretty small but they are fully stocked in everything Korean. I love this place!
Love the snacks from here. Owner is very nice. Variety of Korean noodles/food. One of my favorite Korean store!
Its a nice store hidden off the main drag of State St. But its a great place to find a lot of authentic Korean items, and they also sell fresh food and side dishes.
We used to love this market. It’s small but has almost everything, and somethings are cheaper. Their homemade kimchi is the best.
Passing through town and stopped by this place to resupply. Its a typical small Korean supermarket with limited selection. Slight overpriced. But friendly staff and tasty kimbab. Didnt try the banchan but they had a small selection to choose from.
Nice market. Lots options. Went for a quick trip with a friend but will be back to explore more.
The best Korean market near SLC! I love the food options they have here! They make fresh Kimbap (better than any restautant) and kimchee. This little market reminds me of being in Korea. Go support them!
The service is excellent, and they also sell Chinese and Japanese products with their Korean products. I bought lunch here today as well (they sell fresh lunches), and it was delicious! I got the sweet potato noodles with veggies.
Great store, anything Korean food can be found here. Great service and love their kimbap!
I love this place. The staff is always very friendly and the prices are good. On Saturdays they have more fresh food available and I will treat myself to takeout!
We got a lot more than we were looking for! The side dishes are pretty good!
Friendly staff and willing to help me find the things I was looking for.
They are so friendly with great prices! I love this place!
Very nice people. Fun place. Delicious food. I like to stock up on their frozen bulgogi beef. They make fresh food on Saturdays. I havent tried something I dont like, yet.
Love getting their food made in-house
Fresh homemade kimchi and side dishes. This is a gem hidden in Salt Lake that you don’t even find in other big cities.
The staff were extremely sweet when I was trying to find the tteokbokki. And everything looks amazing there 100%.
My family and I love going to Asian markets so when we happened to find this place (we went next door to purchase Korean twist mochi donuts - yum!) we got excited (food gets us really excited lol). Soon as you enter, the owner (I could be wrong) and another friendly face welcomed us in. We purchased childrens chopsticks - one for my 5 year old & another for my 2 year old gs, udon noodles, seasoned seaweed, picked radish, seasoned cuttlefish, maki sushi, and a few cup of noodles. I would have easily purchased much more if I had my wallet in me. Lol. What I love about this place - besides the friendly welcome & conversations, this is by far the least expensive Asian market weve found here in Utah.Theres a huge variety of fresh &/ packaged noodles, a huge assortment of pickled veggies, meats, rice, etc., etc. Besides Trader Joes, I think Ive found my favorite marketplace. 😊
My favorite place for all Korean food. Great selection on ready to eat foods and variety of fresh kimchi. Very friendly and good prices.Highly recommend!
Nice small store for the Korean essentials.
Quite good selection of a large number of authentic Korean foods, much like a real corner market in Seoul. Fairly rustic but pleasant.
Great products and kind stuff! Love their kimchi!!
The staff was very kind and friendly, I will definitely be stopping here more often!!!
Small family run market. The staff is always so warm and welcoming, pricing is good, and service is amazing.
Great little Korean market very kind and helpful employees.
Great place to get good food for lunches and more!
Love the selection and the fresh food they provide. Always a treat to visit!
The staff was very kind and nice Korean product!
Not a lot of aisle room, but amazing service and great selection of Korean foods and ingredients. I love their fresh banchan selections made in house daily.
This place has been one of my favorite markets in SLC. Its a small store but with big selections and great customer service.
Amazing place to get Korean food and ingredients. They’ve really stepped up in providing a variety of brands and products. One stop shop for Korean food. 10/10 would recommend.
Has the best Korean food selections! 감사합니다!
I love this little hidden Korean market. They are always so kind and helpful if I have questions. They have great prices as well. I accidentally discovered this store taking a wrong turn to get to somewhere else, and Im so glad I did!
Excellent selection of Korean groceries.
Top notch! They had all I’ve ever wanted — black bean paste and boiled silkworms.
This place is really great! They have the best snacks
These guys are awesome! Very accomodating and so friendly! I would give more stars if I could.
They had what we needed and more. Good friendly staff/owner.
Great little store nice korean and Japanese products
This place is a gem! I had a friend cook Korean food one time for me and came here on a whim. The owner was kind enough to help me pick out everything I needed to recreate the meal.
Fresh and delicious finger food all the time
I love this market! I visited because of the positive reviews from other shoppers. First, its tucked back on the east side of State Street and just north of 4500 South. You should plan your parking spot based on what time you need to be driving away, because it can be a little crowded with other vehicles and people putting items in their vehicles. Its hard to back up in the narrow space. So, you can reverse out of your spot, then go east through the parking lot driveway until you turn right onto the road. Anyway, its hard to explain, but you just dont want to be in a hurry because you dont want your vehicle or others to be scraped as you are turning or maneuvering through. Then, you will see the pump bottle hand sanitizer on the right side of the double door entrance. Baskets and carts on the right. My favorite items will be described in this review:On the right, first aisle: refrigerated beverages. My favorite drinks are the small peach carbonated sodas, the carbonated milk (Milki s), Chilsung cider (it tastes like Sprite), and flavored milk in cartons (strawberry, melon, banana). You can buy 6-packs that are not chilled, too. On the left side are the teas and rice. Continuing along, you will see vegetables. Cucumber, squash, spinach bunches, parilla leaves (for making Gimbap - or Korean sushi), mushrooms, and more. Im trying to remember if there is fresh fish on ice. Then you come to the frozen foods, where you see the rice cakes in varied shapes and sizes, broth, soups, dumplings, noodles, packed pickled radish + burdock root (for Gimbap), fish cakes, shrimp items. There are round fluffy cake-like moon breads with strawberry filling. The next aisle is sweet and salty snacks, dry rice, canned tuna, caned vegetables, etc. Next aisle is the dry seaweed (snack sized and large sheets to make Gimbap) and bags of mix, for pancakes and doughnuts. There are also many types of ramen in that aisle. In the last aisle that parallels the other aisles, you will find varying cooking oils, bean paste, sauce for BBQ and other meats, and table top cookers (like a hot plate). Im sure I must be missing other items, such as the gloves you use for grilling and the scissors for cutting meat. There is also a small freezer for lots of delicious beef in strips. I like to buy a package of beef to make Bulgogi. Along the aisle that includes the two registers, you will see large bags of rice and bulk pasta, fresh made kimchi (several flavors), ice cream sandwiches, mochi, gum, fresh cooked pancakes, bean paste balls (the sweet ones), and Gimbap. There are beauty or skin care products and non food items behind the cashier counters. They have boxes of mandarins or tangerines in the front as well. The staff are very friendly and kind. They are so helpful. If they dont have Gimbap on display for purchase, you can ask if they would be able to make some for you. You can also call ahead to request an order of Gimbap. They will answer the phone in Korean but then greet you in English. They play Korean music and have a few posters of K pop idols for sale (BTS). There are some small trinkets, like toys or keepsakes. My favorite items:Beverages (the fizzy ones)Parilla leavesDumplingaPotstickersHoney crisp snacksMoon breadSliced frozen beefBulgogi sauceKorean pancake mixDried seaweed sheetsSesame oilLotte apple mint gum (xylitol)Mochi ice creamI hope youll practice saying hello and thank you in Korean, and then visit Seoul Market. Its my favorite smaller Korean store that has mostly Korean groceries on the shelves. There are a few Japanese candies and stuff like that, but the majority is Korean goods.
Always has the groceries we need for a delicious meal. The staff are courteous and helpful.
Love this place! Theyre friendly and the food is tasty! The prices are very reasonable. I love going in for the Korean yogurt and the fun snacks and frozen foods!
There are a lot of great Ramen selections here.
Staff are very kind. Products are well organized and easy to find.
Small but lots of good foods from Korea. The workers were kind and polite.
Delish prepared foods. Korean energy drinks 2 oz $1 . Not too much, just enough. Smiling.
Always helpful, and I dont speak Korean
No.1 Korean market in Utah
Always a good stop. Lots of Korean options.Helpful and friendly staff.
I really like kimchi here
It is a bit small but you can find a lot of Korean products. They are on the higher end but totally worth it. Ill be visiting again the next time Im in UT.
I love this place! Great staff! They are so friendly and helpful! Great products selection! I have recommended to my friends and family!
I pick up all my Korean food recipes here!
Friendly staff. Nice selection of Korean products.
A little small but has great product!
Very friendly, clean, selection of Korean and some Japanese goods
I love this place. They have produce and fresh kimchi. They also have a freezer section. There are so many fun snack and success here. But my absolute favorite reason for coming here is the handmade kimbap. Its so so yummy. The owners are wonderful people.
Great place for all our Korean food needs. Wonderful owners and staff. We shop here at least once a week for fresh produce we Cant get in the grocery stores. They have a great variety of meats, fruits and groceries that give us the choices we want. All this together will keep us coming back each and every week!
The store had a variety items. I love that they gave fresh side dishes and Kim chi home made. The owner was very nice and friendly.
Delicious ready-made Korean food, especially the kimbap!
Very happy with their selection of meat (I usually go for brisket and pork belly) and their kimchi. Service is very friendly.
Great to go here and see authentic Korean products. Of course, as authentic there are going to be some authentic price premiums on most things. GOod handmade Kim-Chi here and some other sweets/gim-bop as well. There is a little restaurant connected but limited menu and we have not tried it. Being able to come in here quickly to satisfy a KOrean food craving t cook for dinner is nice.
Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and they had a wide variety of foods. I was able to find the eomuk, tteokbokki, & jjajangmyeon ingredients I needed along with some other awesome finds.
Great customer service! Fair prices. And everything you need to make Korean food. Their kimchi is tasty and Ill definitely go back for more.
Dropped in to pick up ingredients for Soondubu Jigae. Was pleasantly surprised with the customer service. The gentleman up front was exceedingly helpful. Ive never made the recipe and had various questions on the ingredients. He answered all of them and offered other options. I picked up a jar of their homemade kimchi (I hear its the best in SLC). I will be returning.
Great little Korean Market! Found everything I needed for a fresh batch of Kimchi!
Excellent~!
I make Korean food quite regularly. This is a good little store for getting ingredients-- in fact, I looked at a few Asian markets for a specific item (plum juice), and in a last-ditch effort stopped here right before they closed. Sure enough, they had what I was looking for.The owners are very friendly and helpful.
👍
Great location for your Korean ingredients and foodstuffs
Small cute Korean market. Has most of the things you could get from other big Korean grocery stores like H Mart.
I really enjoyed my trip to Seoul market. The manager helped me get some great items for my familys Olympics party. He pointed out traditional food that should be included. Thank you!
Coming here really reminded me of the small neighborhood shops in Korea. Its definitely a Korean market, not an Asian market. Theres a difference. The shop keeper was friendly and helpful. He spoke to me in both Korean and English. Id definitely shop there again.
I liked this place since it has some good variety, but when I bought me some Jasmine rice I found weevils in my rice :/ I shouldve checked before I bought it that if it had bugs, but you dont think that when you go to a market. You hope that they consolidate and check yeah know 🙁
Personable & pleasant service; clean, well-priced, excellent quality & wide variety of products which add to enjoyment yet practical, appealing. Love shopping here!!! Broadens experience of Life!!!
Great store! you can get some korean food here
They had ingredients that I wasnt able to find else where. Their kimchee was great
Great little market! Excellent kungnamul and potatoes in the freezer up front. Staff is always friendly as well
Seoul Market offers different cuts of meat for making bulgogi or for 삼겹살 (Pork belly), and you purchase them frozen in the store. However, if you call the store, you can place an order to pick up the meat fresh. From the many different Asian markets I have been to, I was most impressed with this stores meat quality.
One of my favorite market in Utah. The staff there are always friendly and welcomed. I visit there twice a month for my favorite kimchi and other traditional Korean food. Love it so much
First visit and Im sure Ill go back again. Its tiny, its a little cluttered but its super cheap and tons of things you cant find anywhere else. I went for Japanese mayonnaise a recipe calls for and to just try it out. I ended up with: a hotcake mix (the nice cashier read the instructions for me before I left), Korean sea salt (because cheap! And why not?!?), the mayo, hard candy, ramen and a roasted squid snack (think jerky). All for $25.The roasted squid is tough, but very similar to jerky in texture. It is super fishy but I liked it. The hard candy is good but certain flavors were bland, others over powering. Cant wait to try the mayo and hotcake mix!
The family that runs this store is great. They make soy sauce crab and its awesome.
I love this place, best Korean food market Ive found anywhere in Salt Lake or Utah county. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Best of all, they sell homemade Kimchi and other Korean favorites. They import great produce and other foods directly from Korea. In the spring I bought some apple pears that were so delicious! Just like I remember eating on my many visits to Korea. I recommend the fresh made pork pot stickers (call ahead to order), and the homemade Bulgogi, which is prepared then frozen, just thaw and cook. Great variety and reasonably priced. If you like Korean food, then I highly recommend visiting to check it out.
Right across the street. And they are very friendly. Call ahead and ask for the vegan sushi rolls. Made with tempeh. Wonderful.
Best for kimchi and just all around friendly people.
Best best place in Utah to get Korean produce. Small but its got a good variety of stuff and they also cater Korean food and rice cake. The owners are very friendly.
I am very impressed that the owners are very kind and friendly. Korean foods, especially home made Kimchee and Kimbob, are the best in town.
Excellent Korean market. Incredible home made Kimchi made fresh the day we were there.
Great place with some really great values.
Very kind employee. I can find most stuff that I need to cook Asian food. Good price.
The owner is really nice and kind. The best place to get Korean stuff in the valley.
The best Korean market in SLC!
A good selection of original Korean products.
Its a nice place with nice people and they ask me whos my favorite BTS member and enjoy talking with us there snacks are really delicious and yummy 😋.
