The staff here are super friendly and nice as far as the shopping experience its a liquor store they are fully stocked and not much more to say.
Always have my order ready on time! Jerry is the best too! Long time employee who is very kind to customers!
The staff and management are great. If I have a question, need a recommendation, or just need help finding something they are are willing and able. The selection is fairly decent. I wish I could get Medalla. I typically do not have issues with lines or wait times. Prices are okay. I will continue visiting this establishment when I have the need to.
Wish they had buzzballs and I didnt have to make the drive to Wendover. HAHA, but overall this store has friendly staff and is generally pretty quick. The location is fair and they are usually in stock with a lot of their items!
Selection seemed a little lower than usual but what they had was good. The employees were super nice.
I just wish there was more variety...a lot of brands Id love to try arent available...
The workers are nice... Decent selection though wish it was bigger. I dont like Utahs tax though... The same specialty beers in other states are much much cheaper a lot of times.
Im not sure if the employee that helped me was having a bad day or something, I gave 3 stars overall because of my experience today but Ill make to update it if I have a different experience when I come back here. They have everything youd expect them to have, nothing too fancy but it definitely gets the job done.
Shelves are always stocked full theres usually a sale on at least one brand of whatever alcohol that youre trying to get. Also a great place to pick up boxes for free if your moving!
Always friendly, they keep a pretty good stock.
I distrust that the state is the one selling you alcohol, but this store did just fine.
I like this store, employees are always so nice and friendly. Nice people.
Clean and friendly, easy to find what you need and plenty of choices to pick your poison from.
Good deal and not crowd people
Like every UT DABC liquor store, this place is always busy, on Friday and afternoons its extremely busy, and in the days before any major or minor holiday, its almost too crowded to move in. The employees, at least, are as efficient as they can be, but instead of one central queue that feeds to the next available register, you have to roll the dice and choose which individual register line to stand in. Better hope you dont pick the the one with the chatty senior citizen, the underage kid trying to use a fake ID, the homeless guy paying in change, the crazy guy who wants to complain, or--by far the most common--the spouse who didnt bring his/her own ID because they were just walking in to accompany their partner who is actually making the purchase. Any one of those customers can triple or quadruple your check-out time. Pro tip: if you hear anything other than a smooth transaction at the register youre waiting for, immediately move to another registers queue, unless youre the very next one in line. It will almost certainly be faster.
Decent selection and not extremely busy during the week. If busy, lines move fairly quick, but never anyone around to help you locate something.
Always welcomed and this location has a good variety on sale.
They sell liquor is why the 5 stars. Lol
This morning they allowed 20 people at once in the store. Easy setup in the store was really helpful. Social distancing by community members was really appreciated. Everyone was wearing the mask and followed health department orders.Live_let live_enjoy
As far as state liquor stores go, its fine. I have a hard time rating any higher for Utah State liquor stores, but thats not the stores fault, not really, just our ridiculous Utah controlled liquor laws. The beer is kept warm, the lines are long, the tax is high... All Utahs fault, not the stores though.
Friendly folks here, in and out quickly.
Its a state liquor store. Theyre rearranging so prepare to hunt
First time going and they were closed at 7pm but online says 10pm drove all the way from tooele
Standard Utah liquor store, some unique options, and polite customer service.
Utah has such beautiful parks and ski resorts, such awesome and friendly people and su ugly liquor stores. not this particular store in Murray was bad. they all like twins, ugly twins. state should not run stores coz they dont care
Pretty busy, but expected. Bought a bottle of Hornito’s. There are returns on some items if necessary. The service was respectful and quick. No complaints.
Good employees, very friendly and helpful
They do have a great variety of wines! I love it, plus, the staff is very cool and ready to help! one of the best liquor store in the valley! I DO RECOMMEND!
People inside are only reason I shop this tiny bastion of booze, friendly, efficient.* Each security guard is different, this one made everyone wait outside and let in 10 people at a time...after 10 or more left. It seemed odd and inefficient!
Clean and very helpful employees.
Staff was really helpful and friendly
Everything was easy to find, and the employees were very helpful and nice.
In and out. Not sure they all know their liquor though
It had what I need and the moonshine soaked cherries were strong in a good way!
They are always fully stocked with my favorite drinks
Why is this coming up now, when you stated that I visited 3 years ago?
I mean who doesnt love the liquor store!
Great place to find the special wine.
Always crowded but got options
Well stocked. Fast, curtious service. Always clean.
This store is awesome they have a huge selection whether it wine beer everything is organized and nice the floors are clean and swept definitely go to this one if you need a place to go
L-Store will never get great ratings. Checkout is a mess when they are busy. High noon or 3pm. on a weekday is best.
Love these guys. Always so nice and so clean.
Very attentive with ID checks and always have a nice attitude even when other customers give them a hard time. Great job guys!!!
Got in got out. Thank you!!!!
Great selection and super friendly staff!
Couldn’t buy alcohol even though I’m 38 years old because my ID expired four days ago. I’ve never even been ID’d at the liquor store in so long I can’t remember. Not to mention the police officer who gets paid to tell people how to walk in line wouldn’t let me use one door because it was designated for entry only. Not exit, no sir. What has the world come to?
A little busy but the line moved fast. Great selection
Great store. Open until 10pm.
I had the checker yank my wallet so hard she smacked my hand onto the plexiglass and my finger got cut. She didnt acknowledge it and obviously did not apologize.
Large selection of beer and spirits, but they dont have cold beer. Thats the downside.
One liquor store is just like another here in Utah.
No Kombucha beer.
Best store in the state.
Just another state liquor store.
Ive been to a few liquor stores in this area including Sandy and West Valley. But this one is always the least busy by far. The lines are exponentially shorter, even around holidays. The store is slightly smaller than the others but Ive always found what Ive needed.
Great team, super friendly
Always great customer service!
Not busy full selection.
Its the state store! Not much to add. Nice staff.
Busy but in and out before they closed faster than I thought.
Great stock and good staff. Never have to wait long in line though it’s very busy place to go. Would recommend. Great wine selection.
DABC--Utah is the worse system derived. Its lucky we have a selection at all. Pales when compared to for-profit liquor retailers like Total Wine & More in our more fortunate neighbors.
NO COLD BEER
Good service
Fast moving lines. Almost adequate parking which is rare on a busy Friday night. Wine selection seemed a bit low. Easy to find---on west side of state street.
Utah at its finest
This store had a bottle of Ardbeg 10 miss-labled glad I kept my receipt or I would have been paying 5 bucks more than I expected to.
Love this store! Very friendly staff, very efficient, will always be my store!😁
One of the same ole state liquor stores.
Would have rated them higher but they did not have the werthers original vodka I was looking for, however there are a lot of good deals going on rn
Super friendly staff, even with the surge in patrons from the quarantine. Kept crowds to a minimum to help us stay safe. Thank you!
This location is very convenient. The stFf is very friendlyand helpful.
Living here my whole life I never knew about this location. Not the selection of the main locations but convenient.
How do you rate a state liquor store? The selection is not as expressive as say... The Holliday location, but its not as much of a pain to get in and out of as the cottonwood heights location... Which is odd, considering this location is on State Street.I dont know what it is... Every time I walk into a state liquor store, it just smells like how Im going to feel tomorrow morning.
Wide selection and efficient. Is slow to respond to orders or questions. If you k ow what you want, come here.
Good choices of liquors, beers, and even foreign liquors! The main issue with the location is that it is on State St and theres a lot of traffic, and parking is extremely small. Else, the selection is good and employees are nice.4/5.
Its probably in the worst location for any kind of store. But the employees here are always really nice. They are the ones that keep this location going strong.
This particular location is far enough away from downtown/public transit that, when entering you dont have to endure a gauntlet of drunk homeless people asking for dollars. It has a surprisingly decent selection of beers by Utah standards, and the usual selection of booze and wine. All things considered, this store offers one of the least unpleasant alcohol purchasing experiences to be had in Utah.
I was able to get what i was looking for but Im not a fan of having to go to a liquor store for a decent beer. It makes me feel weird about making a purchase. It gets very crowded very easily, they try their best to get you out as quickly as possible.
Clean, quick and friendly.
Usually good, but staff were wearing face shields without masks.
Friendly staffs. Was able to locate wine that was hard to find.
Great staff fast lines
Clean. Great employees
I had a very short wait Employees were fast and efficient
Very BUSY! But nice.
Found what I was looking for.. Most items were stocked on shelves, clean store and a ton of markdowns to check out... Customer service is pretty good but more then 2 cashiers would be more convenient for those of us who want to get in and out..
Better selection of whiskey than most locations
Has alcohol. Lines are insane and the cashies do not enforce the states mask requirement.
Great service very crowded and no parking
Small size with limited parking. Minimal wine selection. Good local beer selection but minimal international choices. Decent selection of spirits; name brands only. If you want more selection go to the one in Cottonwood Heights.
Its the liquor store. Its depressing but well organized and clean. I wish you could buy literally anything else, like ice or drink mixes, but its the liquor store and nothing else. Good selection of local drinks.
Because they sell one of my favorite things ALCOHOL. No its really a nice store for a Utah liquor store. Good selection. Bad prices. But thats Utah.
This is a State Liquor Store, you literally have no other options for alcohol purchasing in Utah and it shows. In other states where liquor stores are a dime a dozen you find massive selection and extremely knowledgeable associates to help you find exactly the libation you will most appreciate. Here you have 2 chest high rows of wine, one row red, one row white. The entire liquor selection is about the size of the vodka aisle in a legitimate liquor store. This is what happens when you let bureaucrats try to execute commerce. Two stars only because this location is cleaner than others and the staff is genuinely friendly.
Needs better customer service. I tell it like it, staff lacks customer service. It’s utah what can I expect 🤦🏽♀️
This isnt a bad liquor store by Utah standards. But this location is lacking some adequate parking (I mean, arent all Utah liquor stores?). You will be hard pressed to park during busy hours or at all on a Saturday. They recently expanded the wine section to offer a better selection. Ive found that this one usually carries the most beers/brews compared to other stores. As usual, the DABC should remodel and expand these stores to accommodate the increase in revenue and number of customers being served. The workers here are really friendly and helpful.
