Ive been here so much as a kid and I always have a great experience here! Every one is so friendly and helpful! I love this place! Always has great energy and a positive attitude :) They have a variety of products that taste amazing!!

Charming little place on the way to Lake Michigan! Lots of homemade fudge and different kinds of chocolate goodies. Love the selection of old-fashioned candies, ice cream, and sodas. Just walking in this place gives you a feeling of nostalgia. The service is always super friendly and I have been coming here for years.

Ive loved coming here since I was a kid! Great old fashioned candy shop and delicious treats! I wish people would stop giving bad reviews because of a mask rule... its their choice to protect themselves and their customers so I dont think 1 star is fair.

Only the best candy store in Muskegon. Very nice and pleasant place to visit.They have went above and beyond to insure safety of everyone with requiring the use of masks in the store regardless of vaccination status. This is great and respectable for all of its patrons. Much respect…You gotta stop in the store and pick up some salt water taffy or their own fudge.

I thought the review went through but I really think this is a cool place!! You can get old fashioned candy, penny candy and they make their own fudge!! Check it out on Lakeshore Drive which is on the way to Lake Michigan & Pier Marquette!!

They were closed inside, but they saw us pull into the parking lot and came outside to take our order. We ordered freshly roasted cinnamon almonds...Wow! Freshly roasted is mind blowingly delicious!! They are crunchy without breaking your teeth! And homemade dark chocolate turtles...what a difference from the candy that comes in a wrapper made who-knows-when! Cant wait to visit again when we can go inside!

The inside of the store was closed to customers, so she came out to our car to take our order. We ordered a lot, mostly nuts, and it was surprisingly very affordable. And delicious! We will definitely come back!

We were visiting from out of town and visited there with our three kiddos so they could pick out some candy. Upon walking in, we were yelled at and immediately kicked out by a woman who informed us they were at capacity (3 people inside), and that we can wait outside and MUST wear a mask. We took our dollars to the Cotton Candy shop across the street and McDonalds Candies where we were treated like normal human beings. Would NOT recommend them. Would give ZERO stars.

Lots of choices and very nice people work there. We arrived right at closing and they held the door and invited us in. When we left they were still allowing people in.

Best Sea Salt Carmels! Owners and staff are wonderful to their customers. Love stopping here with my grandchildren.

The owners are wonderful, friendly, helpful and always smiling. Beside homemade favorites, the nostalgic candies will surely bring you down memory lane. Extensive assortment of vintage and craft sodas, ice cream and fudge. I never leave empty handed... thats for sure!

BEST candy store and more!!!!!I recently moved from Muskegon to the Kalamazoo area, and there ISNT another candy shop that has what Lakeside does.Lakeside Emporium has that family hospitality that is barely seen. In addition to, they have some of those hard to find candies that my grandparents love sooo much (even though they shouldnt have them). This is a MUST place to visit if you are in the Muskegon area. The flavors in their truffles are a must to try, along with their chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate covered oreos.I have tried MANY candy shops, but I still havent found anything that can beat Lakeside Emporiums taste, and their prices for that wonderful experience.Thank you Lakeside!!!!!!!

Picked up 2+ pounds of their red licorice to take to a friend who moved out of town. Placed my phone order in the evening, Maureen called me the next day to confirm and I paid via debitcard, gave her a call before I left, she handed me a beautiful bag to take to my friend! So happy to have discovered this place! Got my favorite old fashioned candies. They are still open during times of Covid, you just pull up and call the number on the door and the staff runs your order out to your car.

Excellent selection, very friendly staff and they have great ice cream! Theyre very good to the neighborhood and host events in their parking lot. It gets a little crowded so if you have a difficult time with tight spots just prepare yourself. Parking is in a lot around the building.

I have been going to the Lakeside Emporium since it first opened. My girls loved going and getting $5 to spend. They had to use their math skills. They still love to go but spend their own money now. The Samples are the best, and so are their employees!!

Great place for kids and grandparents. For the grandkids a great place with excitement the minute they walk in and for the grandparents the memories of the local neighbor Hood stores we would walk to daily with change in our pockets. Loved the Black Jack gum.

Normally I would rate 5 stars. We come here every year and part of the exoerience is coming in and seeing what peaks my interest. Since I shop by brousing, I chose to move along. You have made your choice as is your right. Maybe next time when the heavy hand of the governess is not on your back, it will be a 5 again.

I like everything about this place. Yes its a bit pricey but every ounce of candy is worth the money. The staff is also helpful, nice, and live giving you ideas for yummy treats. Thus is a hidden gem of candy world in thus town. I cant wait to go back and try another new candy and a float.

This is a fantastic shop to experience. We live in Muskegon and still make the trip out to the Lakeside Emporium several times a year. They have all of the classic candies from your childhood and also delicious items made at the store like truffles, giant peanut butter cups, fudge and more. We always enjoy our trips and have been personally thanked for stopping in by the owners and staff on every visit.

I bought sugar free chocolate covered raisins and coconut haystacks, a half pound of each. Excellent selection of nostalgic treats, and the highest quality sugar free candies available.

We make this place our first stop whenever we return to Muskegon. We are cheering them on to succeed during the quarantine by ordering from afar. Lakeside Emporium is a true jewel of West Michigan.

Absolutely adorable little candy and soda shop. I LOVE the music they play. 1930s and 40s Jazz. Their fudge is really good and they have a nice selection of old fashioned sodas. Everyone there is super friendly and they genuinely mean it when they ask you to come again. Family atmosphere. This is my second time going there (Im from out of state) and I will definitely go again!

All sorts of packaged candies, but the real treats are behind the case. Milk chocolate seafoam is outstanding. Definitely worth working through the road construction.

Fun little candy and soda shop. Found a few sodas I havent seen before to add to my collection! A bit on the pricey side. Pretty busy but they ran through the check-out line quickly.

My family has always gone here since I was little. We moved away to Colorado awhile back, but still come here every year. The candy is amazing, the people are very friendly, and there is a very large selection. I love it here :)
