5 stars for the side windows which were done perfectly. 2 stars for the rear window which is being redone for the 3rd time. 2022 Kia K. Would I use them again?? Probably not!! If they had told me the back window was going to be a problem, I would of skipped that window & expense! Additional costs for uber rides as the wait is just way too long.

This review is a long overdue! Ive been using black optix for a few years now and Im very confident in recommending this shop. They have done everything from basic window tinting to replacing brakes, upgrading headlights, and extensive vehicle insulation (sound dampening) install. As a pilot and perfectionist I can attest to there workmanship and professionalism. One example, I asked them to do a job that was within their scope of knowledge but after looking at the vehicle (1998 Civic) respectfully declined and recommended another shop in town that was better suited. That showed me they care about the customer, not just the bottom line!

We requested pricing on having the windows on the back of our house done, where the sun beats down and makes our living room hot. The price was reasonable and the owner communicated clearly to us everything that our purchase would entail.Today a professional came to our house and did such a great job that before he was finished we talked to the owner and decided to have the rest of the house done also!We definitely can tell a difference and one of the biggest benefits is added privacy to our front bathroom which faces the road with a giant window. Since we lived here its been a struggle to find ways to maintain privacy in the front bathroom and this made all the difference in the world! Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing window tinting!

These guys walked me through everything and I didnt get changed an arm and a leg for stuff I didnt need. P paid 1800 cash to have my 2008 chrysler sebring audio system to be replaced but it malfunction and its beem about and i took it back a week later as so as that happened and i was promised to have it fixed but thats been about a month and maybe three weeks ago and still no call or nothing i just hope others customers like me dont go through the same thing next time i will look for a place that appreciates my business.

I am very pleased with how great the staff was today when I got my 2017 Jeep Compass tinted. They did the job quick and efficiently, and also gave me some advice on a subwoofer package as well, which is priced really well. Would definitely recommend this company to everyone

My boyfriend wanted his windows tinted for Christmas so my brother in law recommended Black Optix. I went in to get a gift card the day before Christmas Eve and they tinted his windows that following Friday! It only took about an hour which flew by because they have a nice lounge area with a tv. They did a great job and helped us on our decision with how dark to go. His car is unrecognizable and looks phenomenal! Thank you so much Black Optix he loved his Christmas present !

Got my mustang windows tinted, had to bring it back because my passenger window had visible dirt between the film and window. Got it back for the second time but now there are multiple long scratches going down the window that won’t come off. They were fast but not efficient.

Came in to tint my wifes car. I chose the $350 option. Was later told that they had to charge me an extra $100 to remove the existing tint on the back windows and windscreen. ( They then told me $50 discount)Later on I got a call saying that my head liner came down during the removal of the tinting process. When I returned to collect my wifes car I asked to see what had transpired. They literally put 5 thumb tacks to hold up the head liner. I asked how it happened and the answer I got was yeah, there is always an 80 percent chance that this will happen).I asked if it could be repaired and the secretary told me that they dont do that type of work here. One worker told me to just get the spray on abrasive I had arrangements with this company to have my wifes car detailed at a later date. The secretary wrote down the name and number of a company that she said they use to repair head liners.What puzzles me is that they are saying that the head liner was flaking off and they pulled it down to try and stick it. Unknowingly to them, I took my wifes car the day before to get a quote on tiniting and detailing to another company. The guy did a thorough inspection to give me a quote. The head liner was not an issue there.My wife did a review so they reached out to me. The person I spoke to told me that they infact do head liner repairs. ( Something totally different to what her secretary told me)I made him aware of this. His response was he doesnt know why she said thatHe is saying that the car came in with the head liner already hanging down ( which isnt true).I would like people to be very careful. It seems like they are just trying to cover up for something that they did and not take responsibility.

I have used Black Optic tint since moving to the beach, They have tinted my large balcony windows in my home, 6 of my cars (at least), every time they did a fantastic job. The staff Coby and Trisha are some of the best in the industry, alway attentive and a pleasure to interact with. You cant go wrong if you need any tinting done on the Grand Strand.

We had our 13-year old window film removed and replaced on our ocean-facing sliding doors/windows. From the quoting process to the installation, Black Optix was top notch. This was no easy undertaking but the results were fantastic and well worth the money.

Charged $50 for a 10 minute assessment of our problem. Said that the module in the steering column was bad and needed replacement. Suggested we go back to wherever we had it installed.****Edit**** Took our car to another place. Accurately diagnosed the issue - reprogrammed via the touchscreen. Problem solved in 10 minutes and $30.

I ordered a mirror for my sons optima but the vendor sent the wrong item 3 times, I feel the manager (Kobe) was really upset and he refund me the money without games,Today I went there again to install my new running boards on my truck he said it will take few hours, 45 min later I got a call and the car was ready, Fast service, honest people (you know how car services are) and really really reasonable prices.Will use their service again without a question, 5 stars, thank you

We have NEVER been disappointed in the quality of the tint film and the professional installation Black Optix Tint has done for us. They first did our 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T while we lived in Illinois and installed 35% tint, which was the legal limit it Illinois. Then we moved to Myrtle Beach and had them tint our 2012 Silverado Pickup with 20% tint on the rear and back side windows and 27% on the drivers and passenger side windows (South Carolina Legal limits). The also tinted our 2015 our 2015 Acura TLX with 27% tint and every single one of our vehicles look great, have less heat in the passenger compartment, and our view is distortion free.We are so pleased with the film on our vehicles, we just had them place ceramic 35% tint on all of the windows on our home on the west side of the house and we can already tell a difference in heat penetration. Plus, there is 0 distortion looking outside. It does not distract from the house at all. And the installer was extremely professional. We will be taking the Challenger in and having them remove the 35% tint and replace it with 20%. The quality they offer is the best.

Got my GMC Acadia tinted there yesterday. Ive had dozens of cars tinted, and was worried about a new place. I had all windows tinted including a windsheild strip. They took me right in as a walk-in, friendly staff, quick service, clean store. They had my car I think tops an hour an 15minutes, windows look good. Id go back and I recommend them.

I have had many issues with the breathalyzer machine and having to drive two hours every time for them to work on it they have always got me into schedule and gotten me out in a timely manner. The machine is defective and they continue to show up for me time and time again to fix it. Awesome customer service.
