It was such a surprise to meet the owner who also owned Theos in Rochester NY. He was nonplussed but I thought it was cool.It was easy to get omelets to order for a reasonable price. Dont add salt or butter to the grits before tasting.. Service was great. Fairly typical breakfast diner fare.
Staff was very friendly, restaurant seemed to have a great routine in place for all staff members on the floor, very clean, no wait to be seated, food came out very fast!We ordered our one year old food with our drinks to get her started while we decided and her food was quick and came out with our drinks right away! My husband & I both tried the Strawberry French toast with sides, it was all fantastic! I would definitely come back but unfortunately we live 17 hours away! 10/10 recommend visiting Theo’s Pancake House!
No thrills and more of a homemade type of feel best describes Theos Pancake House. The food doesnt look exciting but the taste is actually very good which caught me off guard. I can see where some of the bad reviews come in however I say this restaurant can easily maintain a 4 star rating. Once you sift through all the Karens and get the real reviews, youll see that this is nothing exciting but the food taste alright and its a good spot to bring the family.
My husband and I stopped because we saw Cream Chipped Beef on their digital menu while driving by this past summer. Finally made it in to try it today and it was very good. Reminded us of our life before retirement back in PA. Our server, was the bomb. I am feeling addled because she told us her name. Her son is a big Braves fan. Will definitely be going there again.
Food was good,service was good place.seem to be clean.But the person cleaning and clearing the tables was also the person putting out the silverware and coffee cups for the next customers.I notice that this person would clear the dirty plates,glasses,and sliverware.And then put out clean mugs and sliverware.The clean silverware was wrap in a napkin.but he still handle everything with his hands.And with Covid and other virsus out there its not safe.
I Loved this Breakfast house. They had absolutely anything you wanted. I left Smiling and really full!!! Next time I go on vacation this will be the first place I eat!!!
I have a wheat allergy so finding good gluten free places to eat is hard. This place serves hands down the best gluten free pancakes I have ever had. I got chocolate chips in mine with whipped cream on top. They are huge! You get so much for the price. The waitress was absolutely amazing and so nice. She was down to earth and quick with everything. This was definitely the best way to end a good vacation. You HAVE to go there. They serve lunch as well and it all looked so good!

Fast, friendly service. Yummy food, big menu with a little something for everyone. Kids menu and senior menu available. Greek omelette is a personal favorite. No wait to be seated on a Sunday morning. Definitely a hidden (breakfast) gem on restaurant row. Stop next door and see the gators on your way out.
Oh my gosh! This place was so good! They were so beyond busy and we still got seated in a reasonable amount of time. My boyfriend got biscuits and gravy that were to DIE for. This is the cutest family owned place to go to. If youre visiting You definitely have to stop by! Also so convenient that our shuttle at the Embassy dropped us off!
Extraordinarily well run and a great deal. The parking lot was full, but they were able to seat me and my girlfriend immediately. The menu is SUPER cheap (~$8 per meal), the food came out within a few minutes with a full house, and it was delicious. Servings are hearty, servers are nice, and the restaurant is a super cute, evidently family run business.Tl;Dr this place is cheap, fast, and delicious.
We are local and never knew this place existed until this morning….. the food is fantastic, the service is fast and very friendly. The prices are great as well. The set up and interior of the establishment is beautiful. We will definitely be back! Big thumbs up

Our waitress, Destiny, was very attentive even though she was really busy. She got our orders all correct too. Our food came out really quickly and was delicious, especially the home fries, Im told. This is my 3rd time coming here. Theos has always served great food and friendly staff.
My wife and I recently had the opportunity to eat here for the 1st time a couple of weeks ago. This is a nice family owned restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. Service was fast, staff was great, food was amazing, prices were reasonable. My wife had a Denver omelet with home fries and I had what they called a Country Benedict. It was a homemade biscuit split in half with a sausage patty and scrambled egg on each then covered with homemade sausage gravy. We will definitely be eating here again on our next visit.
Awesome Breakfast place! Arrived around 9:30 AM and was seated immediately. Very clean and adorable setting along with a pleasant staff. I ordered the Eggs Florentine, which was excellent. The eggs were poached to perfection. I also had a side of home fries, which were standard. Coffee was amazing! I had black coffee but there was an option of creamer if needed.Something worth noting but does not take away from the rating, our waitress did not give a drink refill and would have to be prompted if I needed more. Although she gave us a coffee pot.Overall, wonderful place!
NOT KID FRIENDLYAs the wife of a Military service member, and mother of two kids, I have never been so disrespected for simply having children in my life. Went with my family on our way back home after a wonderful vacation and decided to stop at the same spot we stopped at years ago as children for a nice family breakfast before splitting ways home. After patiently waiting for our table, because we were a larger group, was rudely bantered about the number of people and brought to an inadequately sized table for the size of our group after stating we had no issues waiting for an appropriate table. Was badgered by the host for my 2 year old child being upset because it was loud in the establishment and he was hungry, hence why we stopped for food. Was told, while I was in the midst of trying to sooth him “Is there anything you can do to make him stop crying?” By the host up front in a green polo. Then after telling him I was currently working on it, proceeded to circle back around to ask my father if there was anything we could do to make him stop crying, to which we responded we’ll just leave. I have never felt so rudely treated for the mere existence of my children. I have taken them everywhere with me for their entire lives, due to the fact that their father is actively in the military and have never had an issue like this before. We’ve always gone to Myrtle beach for family vacations my whole life and have ate at numerous places to make family memories, it’s a shame this place does not allow that.
Worst experience of our lives. Never have been so disrespected. The nasty hosts up front shamed us for our AUTISTIC child with us, he was very hungry and upset, not going to lie, but then the nasty host came up to us, not once; but twice! and in the most condescending tone looked at us and said “isn’t there a way to get him to stop crying” as we were in the midst of attempting to soothe him. Absolutely foul and they should be ashamed. We felt forced to leave after that as the service was already slow and the place smelled of chemicals, not food.
Host did not speak. Server was friendly. Breakfast was good and served quickly. The server was not allowed to give me a disposable cup for my water. Coffee is $3.25 with no refills.

We used to love this place. We suggest it to all of our guests that stay our condo. Good food good service. Then yesterday my wife and I were having breakfast there and one of the owners told us that he needed that table. We had not been there even an hour. We were looking at our computer for potentially buying a camper. So as we quickly left I ask him why because there were plenty of tables available and no one waiting. He said you were just looking at our computer. We will never go back.looking at our computer.working on your computer. We will never go back.
Best breakfast food ive had in a while. Neither of us left a thing on the plate. It was all so unbelievablely delicious!!! On the morning we leave this will be the last Restaurant we go to on our way out of town. So So So good!! 10 out of 10. Wow!

We stopped in for breakfast this morning. The coffee was strong which is how we love it and tasted great! They give us a whole pot, 2 mugs,and 2 waters. Every thing we ordered was tasty and the serving sizes where plenty. Our waitress was awesome and brought all the of syrup out for us to try. And came around often which was nice when you have 3 needy kids. Before we left we had already decided to stop back in on our way home from vacation. For the amount of food and variety we got the total was reasonably priced. Would definitly recommend giving this place a stop.

Cant speak to the quality of the food, as we left shortly after being seated. Theres a sign on the door that says service animals allowed. They are NOT service animal friendly. The gentleman who seated us would not leave me alone about my dog and caused me to have a panic attack. I know that my family and I are in the minority, as I have a service animal, but I do not recommend this establishment.

When your food comes to the table the land o lakes individual butter packets are on the plate with your food. The two packets on my plate were OPENED and had been USED! The waitress was very nice and removed the food from our bill but she stated that if they look unopened they reuse them. So my husband and I then observed to see how they handled things on the table after people leave. The guy cleaning tables put the “unused” butter packets to the side on the dirty cart that used dishes/trash/food go on. So there you have it. You remove butter you don’t want from your plate, he comes to clean the table and touches everyone at the tables dirty plate, then touches the butter and sits it on the DIRTY cart, THEN someone puts it on top of The NEXT PERSON’S FOOD when they serve it to them! The manager that rang up our bill was very rude! Informed me that they are a five star restaurant and they didn’t do that! He was very ugly to me and did not apologize for the used butter on my plate. But clearly the waitress told us and we watched to see for ourselves! If they aren’t reusing the butter why didn’t the person cleaning tables trash it with the food and other items off the table! Very nasty! Very unsanitary!!!! Never seen anything like this in my life!!!!!!!

Basic pancake and eggs breakfast. The sausage wasnt the best. There us an odd seasoning in there somewhere. Eggs cooked perfectly.
I know everytime we ride by this place its packed so we gave it a try. The food was good but nothing special. I would eat there again. But I wouldnt make a special trip to do so.

Tried to eat breakfast this morning with my family. We quickly decided to leave after being approached by staff asking my brother and his service dog to change seats at our table because sometimes people get offended by dogs. My brother moved seats and this guy continued to rudely badger my brother about his dog and why he needed to move stating the health inspectors may get called. Health inspectors dont get called for service animals! Makes me curious why hes so worried about them being called. After the man left our table we left immediately! There is no reason to ever make someone feel so singled out or uncomfortable! It should also be noted that there is a sign on the door stating service animals are allowed.....obviously this is not the case.
Very clean place, nice staff especially the waitress Makaella she was very patient and nice. Yummy food 😋 fresh made I will definitely recommend and come back there.

The staff were kind but the food was horrible. Hotel box mix waffles, microwaved chicken fingers for chicken and waffles, box mix pancakes, and stale bagels for breakfast sandwiches. Nothing homemade and a lot of corners were cut. What a shame.
My husband and I went for breakfast on Fathers Day. I ordered poached eggs, bacon, grits, toast and one biscuit with sausage gravy. My husband ordered steak and eggs with home fries and toast. He was very specific that he wanted his steak well done. We waited approximately 30 minutes for our food which was understandable as it was busy being Sunday and Fathers Day to boot. When the food arrived the waitress said here is your well done steak. My food was was cooked properly and was very tasty but when my husband cut into his steak it was bright red inside. He called the waitress back over and sent the food back. The waitress was very apologetic. The owner came by the table and my husband flagged him down to complain about the steak and his only comment was we are very busy today. It took quite along time for his food to come back out, so long infact that I had long finished my food. When his food returned they had just tried to cook the same steak longer, well that only makes it tough. He told the waitress, she was apologetic and said she completely understood. She said we could speak with the owner Bill. We told her we had spoke to him earlier. She flagged him down and he came over and she explained that he no longer wanted the food. His response (very exasperated) fine, just dont ever come back. The waitress was about in tears the way he spoke to us. She and her manager comped our check. We offered to pay for the food we received but they were insistent. We have never had a owner tell us not to come back to their establishment. Dont worry Bill we werent planning on returning.

This was our first visit to Theo’s and everything was excellent. The man who seated us and checked us out was welcoming and accommodating. Our waitress was fantastic; she checked on us frequently throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is very clean and attractive. We highly recommend Theo’s and will definitely be back every time we’re in Myrtle Beach!

This place is right around the corner from were I stayed for week. When I say I ate here almost every morning my wallet will defiantly tell you I spent some money here because it was just that good. I got a waffle every morning with different toppings, my coffee I desperately needed to wake up for the day. Overall experience was great, one specific waiter did seem to take longer than usual to get peoples orders and food out. Other than that the place is great if your looking for good food and fairly priced! Will be returning!
We were seated after a short wait on a BUSY Saturday morning. This has become our favorite breakfast spot in MB, since it is so close to Seawatch Resort and is so reasonable in price. French toast, scrambled eggs, grits, toast and bacon--all delicious.

Great group of people. We go every year on our last day of vacation to get breakfast. This year was no exception. As always great food and wonderful service. Their prices are still very fair as well.
The most ho-hum breakfast since weve been here. Food wasnt bad just very forgettable. Staff was friendly. Food was quick. Very boring menu. Not a single specialty item on the menu. Bacon eggs omelets and pancakes. Definitely not going to bother going back.

Theos is our favorite place to go. My 5 year old loves it, my grandmother loves it. Its great for the whole family. The waffles are absolutely AMAZING. You can get a loaded waffle or even a plain one and its always going to be delicious. The service is wonderful and I always look forward to going back!

Friendly staff and food came out quickly. However, the food quality and taste was very similar to McDonalds. It is not necessarily a bad thing but if you want to save some time and money thats an option. I paid $30.00 for everything. Also I believe the food was microwaved since the left side of the potatoes was cold and the right very hot, same with the waffles.
Food is great, service is great! I am only giving two stars for the host who has to come out several times and smoke right where people are eating. It’s not only rude and disgusting but harmful to people’s health. Who wants to eat and smell his secondhand smoke. It’s EXTREMELY unprofessional. I have been here several times and it’s the same thing each time. I don’t know if he owns the place but he needs to quit or smoke in his car where it only affects his health.
