I was 5 hours from home on a Saturday at 2pm when my truck started having problems. Luckily this place was one of the only shops still open in the area. They got me in, fixed my truck and were very professional and prompt about it. They saved my bacon. I was able to finish my 5 hour drive home with no issues.

What does one rate a company that charges $400+ for a job that cost a national average of $250-300 . That has had my truck for 2 months on a job that takes 3 hours. That cant accept fault. That hung upon me after I told them if the part isnt installed correctly it will burn up is what happened. I know mechanical work as a high percentage of corruption. But holy cow. When will people learn that taking from others takes from themselves too. Taking from me takes from every single person in this world. Everyone says they wanted the coming. Honestly I usually DO NOT leave reviews but this Meineke off Caldwell in Nampa deserves it! Im usually very picky about car repair places and this place is by far the best I have used in years! The staff is always nice and helpful. The prices cant be beat (they definitely are the cheapest around and best value). Not only do the mechanics know their stuff but the office staff is very knowledgeable as well! I personally come when DJ is there (hes one of the mechanics) because hes to the point and very personable. I also deal with the owner and his son (even the owner gets in there and turns wrenches too so that right there speaks volumes about his integrity). I literally drive 2 HOURS to have my car fixed and serviced by them and wont go anywhere else! They are under newer ownership because I know people who said the prior owner wasnt good but this new owner is AMAZING. He doesnt try to sell you anything you dont need or want and the always explain everything they see in detail so you know exactly the issue. I seriously recommend them to everyone!!!

These people are outstanding. They squeezed me in for a muffler replacement on a very busy Saturday. The staff is incredibly helpful and nice. They perform top notch work. I will definitely return solely on the way I was treated.

The staff was very pleasant and informative on the procedure. They showed me the air cleaner that needed replacing before doing so.My only complaint was no windshield sticker indicating when my next service would be needed. All in all I will be returning for future service needs.

Not that great. I got there around 10 a.m. I wasnt even able to enter the parking lot because of a truck blocking the entrance. The person would not move and no one said anything or asked her to. The tail end of my car was still out in a traffic lane, I tried to maneuver as best I could. I went inside and after a few minutes I was waited on. The guy says to you want to wait or come back later? Trying to make it more convenient because they were so busy I said ill come back later, he said ok ill call you. Well, 6:00 p.m. comes around and no call (they close at 5 and I need my car) so I call anyway and the person there answered. Said I could come and get my car, just knock on the door for keys. All day it took to tell me bad news as he put it. He said hed talk to his boss and let me know about my options for fixing the problem. Ive yet to receive any calls or communication from them. This is the most unprofessional place Ive ever been, and they really to figure out better parking. I will never go here again and will definitely tell any one I know not to. Maybe they treat other customers good but my experience wasnt good at all.

The customer service representative was nice and professional. I went in for an oil change and AC repair -antifreeze; however, they were completely booked due to being short staffed. He still managed to help out with the AC. I super grateful because we were heading out to McCall for the weekend. Thank you

Terrible shop, they steal your money. Took my truck in to get my AC fixed they told me they could fix it but it would be $271 which was fine I just wanted it fixed. So I brought it back the next day to get it fixed and after a couple hrs I came back to pick it up. Just to find out that it wasn’t fixed they then told me it was something else and it would be $380 on top of the $271 I had already paid them. No way I was gonna leave it for them to work on it. So now my AC still doesn’t work and I’m out $271. I hope this is helpful to others and you don’t get robbed like I did!

Under new management and they are doing an amazing job! Very thorough and professional. Took my Toyota Highlander in for an oil change and they found my passenger side air filter had been shredded by mice! They showed it to me and then asked if I wanted to replace it. I was very impressed with their treatment of me and my car. Will definitely go back for my next oil change.

The parking lot is very small but there is parking in the Mall parking lot adjacent to the small lot. It can be used but the entrance needs to be kept clear of the U-haul equipment/trucks to be usable.

This shop is great. Always on time and quick with whatever I bring them. They gave me a warranty on some shocks that blew when the manufacturer wouldn’t. Great customer service

The guys at Meinake are amazing. They take care of my family like we are family. Their communication prior to repairs really makes the difference between someone trying to make money and someone making loyal customers. These guys are up front, and are not afraid to go above and beyond. I currently have one vehicle there, and will be taking another 2 for repairs and maintenance in the next week. Ive been going to them for over a year and I wont take my vehicles any where else. They are the only place I feel comfortable taking not only my vehicle but my teens vehicles as well. You guys are amazing and I am so thankful to have someone working on my vehicles who I trust and am confident in. Keep it up.

My brakes were squeaky, so I dropped it for a brake job. The guys checked them out and found that they were new (I had just bought the car) but not seated against the drum correctly. They reseated them and didnt even charge me. They could have just done a brake job and I would have been none the wiser. I so appreciate this kind of honesty and it makes me so much more confident that when something does need work this shop will treat me fairly. I will recommend these guys to everyone I know who needs work done.

I was having issues with my car overheating and they took the time to explain what was happening what they were doing to try and fix my car. And it was reasonably priced. I was expecting it to be $1000 based on past experiences with other mechanics but it was only $200 and they were all really nice. I will never take my car anywhere else.

These guy were great and did the repair a lot cheaper then most. I was able to get the a/c compressor replaced and get a tune up for around $900.00 on my vehicle. I shopped around before I went with them. Most places wanted $1100 to $1400 just for the air compressor replacement with labor. As stated earlier I got everything for $900.00. Not to mention they found another issue while working on the vehicle and just fixed it without charging me the labor just charged me for the part. These guys are awesome and friendly, and the best part strait forward. To prove this is no bs review service was done on June 4,2021 and it was 98 degrees that day. DJ. Did the work,Scotty helped, Doug is the owner and Don is running the front desk. Thanks for everything guys I will be back for all services.

I love Meineke in Nampa, Idaho. They are friendly and fast. They always make sure to check everything and let me know when things need fixed. They have amazing prices and people.

Spoke with someone who works at the shop yesterday about picking up a U-haul trailer today at noon. Got a confirmation text from U-haul with this address. Arrived and they are closed on Sundays. Employee on the phone yesterday didnt bother to mention this. We paid $650 yesterday to get a hitch put on our car for this trailer. Now were SOL and in a terrible situation trying to find a trailer last minute. Called the owner of the shop and he was no help.

Got me in the next day, vacuumed and charged ac. Very professional, shop was an older and well used, waiting room was clean and comfortable.

Was recommended to this meineke specifically by a family that takes all their vehicles to Doug and I wasn’t disappointed great attitudes in the shop and got my truck fixed up and ready to go and answered any questions I had for future work on it will definitely be back

Biggest pet peeve for most hard working men and women is paying for simple services that are to be done incorrectly. As a contractor working out of town we had some concerns with a tire involving company vehicle. Request a tire swap from spare to rear due to running over a blade from the work site.When the work was done clearly common sense isnt involve within the tire shop. Thorough inspection wasnt necessary to spot what was wrong.-First to balance out the tire they clipped weights on the outside of the rim looking like halfass work, you would think by looking at the other three tires they would make the fourth look the same. NOPE!!-Second, after using the tools that comes with the truck they have the audacity leave everything out in a mess. Also looking at the bill, they seem to charge and extra disposal fee though nothing was disposed of.- Lastly talking to the manager wasnt pleasant at all, asking us to go back from where ever we came from due to the concerns we had.Overall this shows us they are incompetent and have no regard for common courtesy. They should have stayed as a muffler shop and run out of business.

Don was excellent with communicating and multi tasking during a very busy time. The mechanic who did the oil change was friendly🙂

I work next door and took my jeep to them for an oil change for convenience. but they did a great job and no hassling for any extras.

We always get great service at this Meineke. He told us it would be in a little faster than it was, but they still had it done by closing.

I take all of my cars here. They always do a good job and they try to save me money at the same time. Sometimes they have to wait for a part to come in (in my case it was a used fuel tank) but the $900 savings was worth it. They wont take advantage of you or overcharge you. I trust them. At my most recent visit I had a check engine light on. They diagnosed the problem (air leak from a cracked grommet) in just a few minutes, then called a parts store for me, told them exactly what I needed and sent me there. No charge. They take care of their customers!

I was very pleased with my service my car is no longer being made so parts are hard to come by. The guys were great found my part got it in and got me back on the road in a timely manor.

I will try to leave an unbiased review with as many details as I can. I went in originally to have my brakes looked at as I was hearing a squeal. I called and set up an appointment. I arrived at menieke and the owner started by apologizing saying that they were short staffed and two people called out that day. I decided to stay In the lobby the whole time. After waiting a while they pulled my car into the shop to take a look at it. He came out and said the rear brake pads needed to be replaced and they recommended the rotors be turned too. While waiting I had a clear view of my car up in the air, not being serviced the whole time. The wheels were on the ground and no one was working on it. They were short staffed I thought, but what bothered me most is that they continued to help all the other people that walked in. Once they started on my car they put my rotors onto the machine to turn them. I immediately noticed that it wasn’t a consistent sound of the machine turning. The owner stated that there are high points on the rotors and that they were warped (after doing some research and talking to others, you are not supposed to turn warped rotors). After a bit more waiting they start putting it all back together and lower my car. I get my keys back after waiting an hour and a half and paid.Two days later, I start to notice jerking in my car when braking. This issue was not happening to my car before. So I took my car back in without an appointment. A different gentlemen helped me, my guess is the co-owner I believe his name was Doug. My car was sitting out in the parking lot for a good while before Doug took it out to test drive it and feel the issue. He stated it wouldn’t take too long, but it took much longer than expected. When he arrived, he felt the issue and that stated it was most likely the rear brakes. They hoisted up my car and it sat there for quite some time. All while Doug was talking down upon his younger kid that was sitting at the front counter taking calls. Doug continued to help all around the place excluding my car. He would take calls, help walk ins diagnosing their cars, and going on stories with other customers. Doug finally gets to my car and starts inspecting it and comes to the conclusion that the rotors are warped due to heat and need to be replaced. Doug states that they will take care of me by only charging me parts and reimbursing me for the turned rotors. So they order the rotors from a shop and a bit later they show up. Once they arrive I didn’t see anyone get to my car for some time. I did see Doug walking around helping other newer customers, diagnosing cars and talking to customers if he should buy this bike from someone. After a bit, the owner asks the son at the counter where his dad, Doug, went which disappeared for 20 minutes. They finally get back to my car and install everything. I was getting very impatient at this time as I was there for more than three hours. At this point Doug continues to help other customers before me. The owner came back and said Doug will go out and test drive it again to see if the issue is resolved. After a long time the owner took the car out and stated he didn’t feel the issue. So the owner finally rings me up, just for the parts which I appreciated. I brought up that Doug said they would refund me the rotor resurfacing but the owner didn’t care and stated well I’m only charging you for the parts. So I paid just to get out of the place.All in all, I will never be returning to this place even for their free oil change. They seem to be very short staffed at all times and never follow the first in, first out motto. I spent a total of 5 hours inside their lobby while they helped other customers that just arrived after me. Doug seemed like he knew what he was doing but quite unprofessional with his random side conversations, talking down to his poor son, and poor multitasking skills. The owner didn’t honor his own work and charged me for a service that should have never been done. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Not worth the time or money.

Took my Volvo to Nampa Meineke because the check engine light was on. After having the car most of the day and getting a bill, within 1 day there was a leak, found out they forgot to tighten something down. After another few hours, no charge, but supposedly fixed, but the check engine light appeared again. Forgot to reset the the computer. I am only giving this review because they are usually so thorough.

I brought my car in stressed and not knowing what was going on, and Chris was able to figure out what was wrong and fix it very quickly buy also kept me informed during the process. I definitely will return for any other of my automobile needs!

Was having a major issue with a dead fuel pump. Had it towed to these guys, they were incredibly helpful in narrowing down the exact issue. We thought we got the issue fixed by adjusting the fuel pump relay, would you think I was on my way out, I was having the exact same issue. Less than 4 hours later I was back on the road with a brand new fuel pump. I typically dont go to Caldwell very much, but if I ever have any issues in that part of town again, Ill definitely be going back.

When they were fixing my car, they found something else that needed fixing and they fixed it, and the whole bill was much less than I had expected and less than I was initially quoted.

Made time for me even when other job put them behind. Finished me up really fast later in the day, offered free rides to work and home. Father and son team was cool to be around. Very respectful two guys I worked with and great price! Local business, support em!

This Meineke is under new ownership, and they are wonderful! They’ve been our go-to guys since 2016, when they were in Boise. My husband and I will never go to anyone else, no matter where in the valley they are. Doug and the rest of the crew are friendly and caring; they always go above and beyond to make sure our vehicles are in the best shape, and that it won’t break the bank in the process. I’ve found it difficult to find honest mechanics in the past, but these guys live and breathe the Golden Rule. I’m so grateful for them, the quality of their work, and the peace of mind they bring!

The manager Doug and his crew went above and beyond to help me understand which repairs were needed, and which were recommended. They worked with me to figure out what would work best for me for my situation. They explained what they repaired and why it was needed. They were very easy to talk to and were super kind. I felt fortunate because not every shop has approachable, down to earth folks like this location now has. I’d definitely recommend this new team to my family and friends.

Passing through town on our way to Washington when we had a brake vaccum hose come unplugged. Called three places but the folks at this Meineke rescued us. Got us on our way in 15 minutes and could NOT have been more personable and kind about the whole thing!

Wish I could give them zero stars. They replaced something that didnt need replaced didnt even fix the problems my car had. And tried to charge me double time. They even admitted they were wrong to do it and they were sorry. Im lucky I timed them. But not lucky that I didnt check how much they charged for labor till I had already went back to my home in sun valley. They said if I ever come back they can give me some money back. Cool thanks smh. Im just happy I caught them being shady so I can never go there or suggest anyone go there ever.

The website says they do emissions testing however the guy refused to do one and said they cant because of covid.

Since this place has gotten new ownership, Ive definitely seen an overhaul on service. Theyre great guys to work with and its my pleasure to do business with them regularly.

I went there because my brakes were making a noise, unfortunately for me my car is part of my job. They completed the job and gave me a total for the job, I was totally insulted that they charged me almost $200 labor to replace my brake pads. Total rip off. No written estimate or written document was signed or provided to me. Their sign says under new management/new ownership, but it’s worse than it was before. Terrible place, unethical business practices and I will never go back.

So mad and frustrated with this Meineke. I called in the morning to make an appointment for an oil change. I was told that I did not need to make an appointment and to just come in. When I went in about a half hour later, Sam said we needed to make an appointment. So I made an appointment for 2:30 that afternoon. When I returned for my appointment, I walked in and told the guy behind the counter that I had a 2:30 appointment for an oil change. He said, At this location? I told him yes and that I had made the appointment just that morning. He said it would be an hour and a half wait. He only had one mechanic working. He was NOT friendly or helpful at all. I asked him why did I bother to make an appointment and his response was he did not know why Sam would do that and it would be an 1 and a half hour wait. He did not apologize or do anything to figure out what could be done. I told him never mind and I walked out. I will not be going back to Meineke ever. Their service is terrible. I would not even give them a 1 star if that were possible.

They said my alternator needed fixed. Then afterwards said my battery was bad. Went to Brunel tire and it turned out the only actual issue was the connection to the battery! They didnt fix my car and had me pay for something I didnt need, especially since I had just had the alternator replaced not even a year ago, Brunel did.

My 2003 Lancer needed the engine replaced, and I am happy to say that Meineke was able to do this for me for a very reasonable price. They were honest with me about the extent of the damage to my engine and the actual price matched the estimate they gave me. Ill definitely be back the next time I need work done on my car. Big thanks to Ramon and Sam for helping me get my car running better than it has in years.

Since the ownership has changed my experiences have not been as great here. They used to check and fill all fluids, air up tires with oil changes. Also used to check brakes. Now I dont get a report on anything when I get oil changed, even though I thought these were supposed to be done as included in the service. Asked for a Freon check at 4 30 when they closed at 5. There were no customers behind me. Was told that they were closing so this couldnt be done. After doing research learned how easy and inexpensive this is to do on my own. Thanks for not doing it so I could save bunches of money by checking and filling the Freon myself, I appreciate it. I will also be doing my oil changes and filling fluids myself from now on.

Went to Meineke after Midas has royally screwed up my car!! Meineke was fast and they did a great job!! I appreciated the easy pay option as we did not have the funds up front for what my car needed.!! We will be going back no more Midas for me than you Meineke for making my experience a good one!!

Need a rear pinion seal replacement on a 2005 Jeep Liberty. Used RepairPal to research shops in my area. Led to Meineke, only shop open today. Called them, got a fair estimate. Got me in and the part the same day. Working on it as I write this. Very helpful and cordial staff. Shop looks well equipped and maintained. As the work is not yet completed I cant yet comment on that, but the replacement is straightforward and I expect no issues. Will update this if not.

I had some minor work done in May prior to a major trip where my truck would be pulling a camp trailer across the country. Doing my do diligence I made appointments. What a joke! 830 appointment to them means they have all day. Of course there was always an excuse. Needless to say it took 4 all day trips with 830 appointments to complete 8 hrs of work. Then to find out on my trip that I now have a vibration coming from my front drive shaft! I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. The owner is clueless and the mechanics are fast from certified!

If I could give a negative star, I would. I took my car in for a basic oil change on Saturday. While lifting the car, they neglected to close the door. The door got crunched, the window shattered. They were closed on Sunday, so Monday morning I expected a call from the owner. At 9:30, I finally called them. The owner (Sam) response to my call was Oh yeah, I need to call my insurance. It is now Wednesday and my car has just been picked up to be taken to the body repair shop. If I hadnt been calling their insurance company and moving things along, I dont believe anything would have been done. Sam has not once apologized for their neglect or for the inconvenience this has caused me. Ive had to spend hours of my own time making phone calls to arrange a rental car, towing of my car, scheduling the repair. Ive had to re-arrange my schedule due to the fact that I do not have my car. There are posters all around this business describing their commitment to customer service. The reality is, the owner does not care. What started out as an honest accident has escalated to a major annoyance due to the actions of the owner. And my credit card was STILL charged for the oil change. Seriously???

Meineke will never be allowed to touch my vehicles again. Took them two times to repair my exhaust correctly. The second time they wrecked my car getting it out of the bay. Then the owner Sam was dictating to me what they would or would not pay for. He said he would pay for half of the repairs which are about 1300 dollars in damage. He said he would not pay for my rental car either. Should not be allowed to stay in business. Please if you are reading this please take your vehicle anywhere but Meineke. If this site would allow me to post photos I would.
