This was a great place to get our morning coffee during our time in Nantucket. Perfect coffee to walk around town sipping, in fact, I have a fun challenge for visitors, see if you can find this “secret” alleyway on your coffee walk. It’s within a few blocks of the coffee shop :)

Double cortado is as good as anything I have found in the past 9 years and four states. Heaven so real you should sit down first, because cobblestone streets are tough. (Take mine with almond milk).

Nice café, good coffee. We had an americano and a cappuccino. I would prefer if the cappuccino has a bit stronger coffee taste, but that might be only me.It’s nice that there are few benches outside so during Covid you can still enjoy coffee/pastries while sitting.Muffin and the donut twist was ok.What is also good is that this place is not that close to the harbour so it’s not as packed as other cafés in the middle of the town.

If you like coffee, do yourself a favor and come here. Whatever brands and methods they use is spot-on. The place is clean, cozy, friendly-staffed, and the coffee is just smooth and delicious. Its not a pretentious Nantucket coffee shop; its really just nice a corner shop to get a cup of joe.

Really great coffee shop. If you’re visiting Nantucket definitely come here! Changed my order with no problem at all since I changed my mind on my coffee and wanted a latte instead. Definitely recommend!

Coffee is wonderful and service swift and friendly. Missing the bowl of water for dogs and the dog treats under new ownership. Feels like they’re missing the needs and vibes of their customers. Disappointing.

One of our favorite coffee stops while we’re visiting the island. They have limited hours during the off-season, so we missed them the first time we stopped by. But they’re worth the wait! Got coffee the next morning. Staff is always friendly and the coffee is always great! Stop by if you’re visiting Nantucket!

The best true cafe on Nantucket. The drinks punch above their weight thanks to the skilled baristas. Ive never seen such great espresso drinks come from a Rancilio. The drinks could be elevated by a more sophisticated machine like a la Marzocco, but its hardly something noticeable. The indoor space is cozy and offers great wifi. The outdoor space in the back is underutilized but still quite beautiful.

Great place to rest after shopping. Had their nitro (excellent), english breakfast tea, and a hot chocolate. Everyone is happy and relaxing. Right next to the bus station.

A great little spot just off Main Street. Simple but has everything you need for your morning coffee. Plus a ton of seating inside and out.

Amazing garden and patio

We went here our first morning on the island and the almond milk lattes were so good that we returned every morning of our trip. Top notch!!!!

Full fat latte.... Fact. Love this place for an early morning coffee. Some times they have a selection of morning buns (or what I call). Lovely place.

We stopped in and got a traditional cappuccino and a latte— both with oat milk. Drinks were very well made! Attentive staff and relaxing environment. Great experience. We would definitely recommend!

Super friendly people; a tasty Red Eye, would def try a snack. Side note: super fast WiFi if you need to work. Thanks guys!

My favorite coffee stop on ACK. SBUX wished they were as cool. Cup of Sunshine (try it dirty) is a must. Do wish they offered coconut milk as an option. Love it just the same.

Really nice little coffee shop. The coffee is hot and good, the staff is friendly and helpful, wifi works, theres lots of local information because the owner is involved in the community. Lots of locals and visitors.

Very convenient and cute shop. Got a Carmel macchiato and a blueberry muffin and theyre the best ones Ive ever had! The foam on the top even made a heart! Super polite staff too. Not bad prices. Its a thousand times better than Starbucks (:

Great coffee, great service. Offered ceramic cups, because we were ordering coffee for here. They asked what kind of milk to foam for my latte, and the end result was delicious. I am SO glad this place isnt a Starbucks - the experience and ambiance and service here was wonderful.

Staff was very nice and helpful with our questions and guiding us to the best decisions. This was my second trip and would go back for the coffee, snacks, and lovely bike decor.

Finally... this is the coffee shop that Ive been looking for on ACK. Where others came up short, Handlebar really shines. The coffee is amazing, the staff is super friendly, and the shop is a cool little spot. Check out the hidden garden in the back for a relaxing morning cup!

This is THE spot to get your wifi and coffee fix! Its fun and fresh and has great energy... not to mention the owners are some of the sweetest and most hospitable people on the island!! The iced coffee is divine, the bark bar outside is such a cool idea for hydrating your pups, and they have a really cool retail section in the cafe as well! A MUST GO for all those on Nantucket!

This is a great place. Obviously not the cheapest coffee on island (s/o to Cumberland farms) but say one morning I want to treat myself to some seriously good coffee I always go to handlebar. I usually get a cappuccino if it’s cold and a iced or minty iced nitro when it’s hot. Free wi-if is always a plus. Also they have those biodegradable straws. Not as good of a drinking experience with those but rather that than throwing more plastic into the ocean.Overall would recommend to a friend.

Very nice coffee and drinks, fine snacks, and an excellent location. A good addition to the island coffee scene.

This place is very cute and the service is friendly but the cappuccinos and macchiatos are definitely more “Starbucks” than, say, Blue Bottle (I.e. lots of milk and foam in huge cups).

I went to the Handlebar Cafe every morning I was in Nantucket last year after I discovered this gem!!! Cant wait to have a daily Handlebar Latte again this year while on island!!!!

This place is amazing. My dog liked the water bowl outside so much that we went inside where he ordered an orange macchiato muscatine arriba derchi sapphire foam spit dark roast Grande plus. He said it was the BEST hed ever had. And then he peed on the water post. I had the most flavorful blueberry-azciatti muffin that was made with fresh azciatti grown in the secret garden out in back of the cafe. Herbivore. (Shhhh... herbivore). Then I peed in the secret garden. Hmmmm...fresh azciatti, secret garden, pee...hmmmmm. Thinking Ill just go with a bagel next time. Too bad Jason and Courteny have to land their airplane sooooo far away, but it was just costing them way too much money to have a pilot flying over the store til closing time. They should have bought a helicopter. And the toilets ARE NOT self flushing. I had to hire someone full-time to come flush for me. But this place is so good, its worth the added expense! Well, I think youll like it as much as I( and my 31 other personalities)did! Gotta go, my space ship is double-parked outside and they dont validate here. No valet parking either. (which didnt bother me at all because no one there knew how to fly my spaceship anyway!) Tootles!

Had the best coffee here during my stay on the island - service was polite, the decor was cute, the Bark Bar (bowls of different heights for different-sized dogs) was adorable, and the secret garden out back was beautiful!
