The lady who seated us wasnt even a little cordial. While paying, the same lady had a side conversation while we waited to pay. Poor customer service from her but good service from other workers we interacted with.The food was delicious, well-prepared, and served at good temperature.Im not sure of cleaning standards. Salt and pepper shaker tops had not been cleaned for some time. Sugar jar was not so clean either.3 stars for good food and service from everyone except the lady mentioned above.
I order meatloaf to go I asked for mushrooms and ONIONS. First… staff weren’t as friendly or welcoming… Second…. My order was wrong never got the onions I repeatedly asked for. Third… they call it fresh salad I guess they mean that literally because they don’t even bother to wash the ingredients. See picture below
Moved from Long Island to Nanuet. Went to Nanuet diner for lunch. What a DUMP! Service was horrible more employee water cooler talk than service. Floor and windows were filthy. The place was worn out. What a shame a diner close to home on a busy area and not worth the trip. Need new management!!! We need a up scale diner!
Ist time ordering in years............used to love this place, used to come with my mom every week. asked for well done fries, raw!!!!!!! well done bacon on my wrap, raw!!!!!!! forgot my pickle and slaw, and for the price i paid everything should have been in the order. matzo ball soup no taste, never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our family had a late dinner which was very convenient because theyre open 24 hours. My short ribs were pretty awesome, my wifes pork chops were okay, and my sons egg Benedict was terrible because of the hollandaise sauce. Our service was pretty good, the gentleman that attended us was very polite and helpful.
If I could give no stars I would. The wait staff are not welcoming. When I paid my bill, I had to signal the cashier who was too busy on her phone just 10 feet away from me. I had the poorest excuse of a BLT. Barely any bacon. And what is with the dollar store brand ketchup?
We had a delicious meal. My husband had a Chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was excellent. He said there wasnt enough salad greens, and the manager had more brought to him. I had a delicious grilled cheese sandwich with fries. It was served with cole slaw, pickle, lettuce, tomato, and onion rings. This was fantastic! I have had this is many diners, but it was never served like this. The service was very good. Check out this diner for yourself.
The place is clean, the staff is attentive but the food was greasy. The fries we were served with our breakfast looked like they were sitting there a while and were put into the hot oil to warm up before serving. The bacon was also greasy. Will not be going back there.

So disappointed! Called to place order and who ever answers the phone was extremely rude and nasty he even hung up on me. When I called back to speak with a manager I was told there was no manager and they hung up again I called again to get there names no one would give their name and hung up a third time. I didnt realize business for them was so good that losing customers arent a problem or concern I wonder if the owner is aware. As successful as a business can be.theres only one way from the top its to the bottom.
This was the worst experience Ive ever had in 42 years of my life! Diner service was horrible, the waitress gave me coffee with spoiled milk! I never received a new coffee neither. The lady at the front desk was on the phone, talking very loudly having a conversation that was very uncomfortable. I was not able to just enjoy a meal with the service at this diner. After I waited 10 minutes for my coffee exchange that never came i canceled the entire order. I will never go to this horrible diner ever again in my life!
First we asked to sit opposite our truck so we could watch it..they were more than accommodating and sat us directly across from it. I’m not sure what the 1 star ratings were complaining about. Everything was clean, including the bathroom. Luis was our server! He was attentive and extremely nice! He asked several times if we needed anything and the girl with the water also asked several times too! The service was great! Unfortunately, we forgot to take pix…too hungry:) lol but the Cobb salad was beautiful with tons of chicken and the Buffalo chicken sandwich had lots of bleu cheese on it! Had lemon meringue for desert! Everything was yummy.

A year ago I wouldve given them 3 stars. Nothing special about the place but the value was good. I used to get a Greek salad with grilled chicken, French onion soup, seltzer water, and a coffee for $22.Today I ordered a grilled chicken Greek salad for pick up and it was $18.94! You can overlook a mushy cucumber or average food when it was $12 for a salad but $19 for a mediocre salad? I literally felt robbed.I ate at a nice Thai restaurant with my girlfriend on valentines day and got appetizers too, in NYC for around $24. So $19 for a salad for pick up is absolutely absurd pricing.This diner is going to price themselves out. There is dozens of diners and places with better food less than a 10 minute drive from here. Like City Line Diner in New City for example.Very disappointed and wont be coming back to here for a long time.

After not going here for a long time because my last experience here wasnt good, we decided to give them one more chance. Well, that was a big mistake. I ordered the hot turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. I didnt think anyone could ruin such a simple meal. The turkey was not hot or good tasting; what was supposed to be gravy was like flour and water with no flavor; mixed vegetables were hard and cold; and mashed potatoes were not good.

I came here at 12am for a late night bite with a group of friends, and we were very disappointed with the food. The staff were friendly enough but the quality of food was barely adequate. My bread was toasted nicely, but the tuna and cheese were average. My friend got a Buffalo burger and it was literally just a Patty and a bun.

Food and service was great. I as a little disappointed they wouldnt give the early bird special which was Monday through Friday noon to 6pm on Martin Luther King day. Prices are a little expensive but food was great. If the early bird specials are available the price for what you get is very good. Well probably try back when the specials are available.

I visit this spot a lot since I work nearby. I like how the customer service is always fantastic and they keep the place neat regularly. Rates are fair and they serve large portions.
This diner is constantly increasing their menu prices and the chef’s don’t take pride in making take out orders. They lost my business for GOOD! Small portions for double the price NO THANKS!
Walked in and the Manager looked out of sorts...sweaty and greasy. Then.... the utensils stuck ....dry stuck to the utensils and after 20 min never brought our food.

I dont think they realize that people can fo anywhere to eat, but good Customer Service is what people look for now a days. Its so unfortunate they continue to drop the ball. Francis the guy that answer the phone was extremely nasty. Poor customer service my order was messed up and he refused to take responsibility and fix my order management was not present so this issue was not resolved. I will not be spending my money here anymore as a long time customer

Absolutely awful! We ordered online. The order came completely wrong. Not one of the three meals were complete. When we called, the manager told us to shut up and argued with everything. Very sad because prior to this we tried hard to help them out during the pandemic. Obviously does not care about having customers...stay away!!

This place doesnt deserve one star however I needed to choose before they let me post. Poor customer service, I made an order online for delivery they dont give the option to choose your own delivery method, they automatically choose grub hub. My deliver was getting post poned numerous times. I called the diner to see what the issue was I was informed that they dont have a driver and that i need to contact gub hub myself. I asked why do I have to call myself, he responded that I choose the delivery method. Yes I choose for delivery however you automactically sent it to grub hub without me even choose how i wanted it delivered. The gentlemen hung up on me. I called back a second time ti explain I just got a text stating my order was cancelled due to no driver. I explained to him that we had no way there and thats why we choose delivery. I asked for a refund due to the fact they had no drivers which is not my fault, the gentleman on the phone got rude and stated he will not give me a refund. Even thou I got the text where they cancelled my order due to no driver.
Staff was friendly but food just wasn’t good. Chicken fingers were mostly batter and super soggy. Perhaps it was just sitting too long in the kitchen but I couldn’t finish the meal.
Water quality is really bad, It has a weird taste to it. After that it was hard to eat the food because I know they cooked and cleaned with the same poor quality water. After 5 minutes sitting down I wish I had not eaten in the diner.
They close even tho they are “open” wack!!!!

Didnt follow directions to DoorDash order. Never read their own notes to be checked off. When brought to the attention of the owner, he never felt the needs to apologize but just kept saying call DoorDash. I asked if the items are checked before packed and he said I dont know. The replacement took to long so I cancelled and Doordash gave me a refund plus credits. Very disappointed on the lack of help on Christmas Day.
Their daily specials are great. Absolutely the best steak and lobster dinner anywhere

Great food, but check prices if you are a return customer. During Pandemic, a bowl of soup went from 5$ to 11$. Ask prices if your a long time customer as they appear be up charging.
Wish I could give zero stars... While waiting in line to pay for the meals, the cashier, first wiped the pen with hand sanitizer then poured and rubbed the sanitizer on my hands. Didnt ask, just did it. I was shocked as I was following all protocols and had a mask on and my credit card extended. And my hands were clean.No matter what your opinions on current events, that is wrong in so many ways. She didnt do it as we walked in, to protect others against covid or germs, but as I was leaving. Why? And when I called to discuss her actions with the manager, the manager hung up on me. Will not be back.

It was a good good meal, when comparing diner to diner. The guest service was really good. We received a warm welcome and a very warm good bye upon exiting. I would go back when I am in the area.Side note, make sure to order regular bread for the French Toast.
BEWARE NIGHTMARE ON ROUTE 59 IN NANUET Never, ever again. The Waiter who is balding and a bit older, in his mid 50s provided the worst, most rude & slowest service I have experienced in years. Plus, our food was awful. It took about 45 minutes to get a bacon cheeseburger fries and a salad. When we asked him, can you kindly tell us how much longer it would be? he copped a terrible attitude and said the diner is busy we have other people who came in before you YOU NEED TO WAIT in broken english. . So the food came out like 15 minutes later, The salad we ordered was not cold, and some of the lettuce was rotting. The burger was not tender and was not fresh chopped meat, had to be frozen, = no juices and the frozen french fries sucked. We did not complain about the food as it takes a lot to anger me,. So HERE IS THE WORST PART and THE NIGHTMARE After eating I went to the bathroom and to my utter shock their was feces on the toilet seat. So I tried to alert the manager, a middle eastern or Indian man more rudeness. The manager replied, no problem. and said they were busy someone will clean the bathroom soon. ARE YOU SERIOUS, I told him clearly the toilet seat was messy and he is not going to take action and get it cleaned? OMG We immediately asked for our check and waited another 10 minutes and saw that the manager never asked a bus boy or waiter to enter the womans bathroom & clean the messy, toilet bowl seat. YUCKY The only thing that was decent was my cole slaw and pickles but we both felt like vomiting as we left to the car,. Never, never again! Yuck,. STAY THE HELL AWAY, White castles is more sanitary and open 24 hours!

It was 1:30 AM am I am having a nice meal with friends..nobody else in restaurant..restaurant not open much longer..A table comes in and they sit them right behind us when there are at least ten other table around.. I ask to move to another table and the host tells me I dont get a choice and it is up to him..great job making your CUSTOMER FEEL WELCOME. Much improved food and cleanliness than prior manager. I met Paul who manages the location. Learned he has worked, owned, and knows his business over 30 yrs. He runs a better diner, the blueberry or cherry pie is fresh. Moussaka was great, his recipe.

Not only is their food overpriced for quality, the service here is horrible! The waiter was not friendly or knowledgeable about the menu or customer service. Did not know how to explain what each dish consists of and was slow with everything. The syrup was sugar free and I had not requested that. The honey tasted like plastic. The utensils and mug were dirty and the price was insanely ridiculous for the quality of food. Save your money. Do not eat here. Also, the food was not hot. Again very slow service.

We had a table of 7. We all had different things on the menu. No one finished there food it horrible. The only thing that was good was there mousse. I took home.

Food and service are generally good. Diner itself looks a little tired and can use a facelift. Its definitely not Ritz dining, but its fairly clean and user friendly. 3.5 stars is really my rating but its better then 3.0 so I gave it the extra half a point.

Meh... Service was slow even though they were not busy at all. I had the Eggs Benedict, and it was completely devoid of any flavor. It was pretty disappointing. There are around 3 million things on the menu, so some of them are bound to be good....

I liked Nanuet diner, one of the few restaurants if not the only one which is open 24 hrs. They have good assorment of foods in menu & friendly staff. Food is served kitchen to table quickly! Highly recommend!
I cant speak to dinner but breakfast was a huge let down. We only got half of the food we ordered and what we did get was bland at best. The waffle tasted like it was watered down. The grilled cheese tasted like chemicals. These are diner staples. Will not return.
We were here at past midnight and we enjoyed our meals after driving all over from Manhattan, Staten Island and parts of New Jersey. It looks quiet. Food and service were OK.

This is a solid diner. I mostly come for breakfast food which is good but have also had lunch here. The place is clean and so are the bathrooms. It abuts Rockland Plaza so parking is ample. The staff have always been friendly and brought our food on time. No complaints

I have eaten breakfast here every day for the last two weeks. The food is excellent. The service does tend to be a bit slow.I did have a bad experience with a waiter (Manager?) yesterday 02/17 at 0530. Having been informed the day before that a small glass of juice was included in my meal, I repeated that understanding to my waiter and asked for a glass of cranberry juice. I enjoyed my meal and when I received the bill, I noticed a $3.50 charge for the juice. When I reminded the cashier of my understanding he and my waiter conversed loudly in front of me in a language I do not understand. When my waiter walked away from me without a word, the cashier handed me the bill and said juice was free only between 6-11 am and that the waiter refused to adjust the bill. I paid the bill under protest and remain very unhappy with their treatment of a regular customer.
I was not here in a while but I remember my experience. I ordered chicken nuggets. Simple dish, right? Sure enough, the chicken tasted like cardboard, and it smelt terrible. I asked the waiter if I could have another one at no charge, thinking it was a botched dish. It tasted the exact same way. I wish I could rate 0 stars, but I want to make sure the people in the workplace have a job.

I actually used to be a big fan of this diner as they had one of the best Caesar salads I have ever had. It was about $15 but it came in a tortilla shell so it was worth it. Recently they stopped putting this salad in the tortilla shell. I ordered the Caesar salad a few weeks ago and was disappointed to find out that they no longer did this. When I received my salad it was less of a salad than they normally would serve and there were no croutons, eggs, or olives and yet somehow the salad was still $15. I decided to give them one more chance and ordered the salad again today. Apparently to add eggs it is extra however this used to be included as it was part of the salad. Again, I received a very small salad and no eggs which I was charged for. I am pretty much over this diner and will be going elsewhere. To have a small Caesar salad which includes nothing a Caesar salad would normally include for less than $15 is a little ridiculous. The only thing my caesar salad included was chicken, tomatoes, croutons and lettuce. So basically it is a regular salad with chicken for $15. I guess I cant expect much when ordering from a diner so I suppose I should just be happy that my salad included lettuce.
Nope! My omelette was not an omelette. It was 2 layers of dried egg with onions. No cheeseIt was hard to choke down but it was late and i just got off work. Service was not any better.Tried to kill it in hot sauce and they gave me a cup of mild buffalo sauce. Who does that??

Between the cold raw food (found frozen steak bits in my philly cheese steak), the manager who loves to argue and not take responsibility for the mess ups that happened, I will not come here again. Also they like to give out a teenager girls number as their owners phone line. Way to go guys. One more thought... What if I had a food sensitivity to mozzarella ??? Calling my boyfriend to try and change my order was also reckless and dangerous. How dare you run your operation like this. I will never give you my business ever again. I had called 3 times to try and get my money back (ordered from home, literally live 2 seconds away didnt take more then 3 minutes between hanging up and driving there to wait for the food) and when you told me I couldnt get my money back because it was a special order I finally went there and had to ask for my money back in person did you actually listen to me. But only after the fact when I called you out for the phone number and also calling my boyfriend. I hope you get new management and go back to being a diner I used to love to frequent.
Nanuet Diner is excellent, with fast and friendly service. Also great for large groups. Its nice to go to a diner where breakfast isnt the only good option to choose from.
