I walked in and there were 30 people waiting in line. I was walking around forever trying to find an associate I could ask a question to. I walked around for 15 minutes and noticed the line hadnt gone down at all. The employees seemed very scatterbrained and the only 2 cashiers were helping the same customer to think of the phone number for the other store. People started walking out of line and just left. I finally found an associate to asks her if she could help me with finding a pattern to make a tie trace. She said look in the books for a number that your can find in the drawers. I have never been in a fabric store before and had no clue what she was even talking about. She never stopped walking when I asked her the question so I wasnt able to ask any follow-up questions. I just ended up having to leave the store. Terrible customer service on the floor, and apparently at checkout as well. There is a lot of construction work going on in the parking lot and they just need to knock down Hancocks fabric with it.

I went to this shop today to pick up some notions. The assistant manager (Catherine), who was working the cutting table was flat out rude and had zero customer service in her. I needed help locating the 2 straps I needed to purchase and I asked (2) sales associates for help. The (2) sales associates were very nice and accommodating. They helped me find what I needed> but both times the associates came to help me> the assistant manager would scold me that I was not in line next for the cutting table! I didnt need help at the cutting table at the moment. When I did need cutting services at the table>a customer offered me to go in front of her since she had tons of cutting needed. I obliged> and again Catherine was not happy and made it a point to see if I jumped the line! Seriously? I never met the women and it was my first time in the shop. I cant imagine why her attitude was directed towards me. The other (2) sales associates apologized profusely and made excuses for her:-She has been in retail too long. If you start up a convo with her...she is actually nice. Really? I just wanted to make a purchase..not make a friend.-Its her Friday> shes almost off. OMG> seriously... we all have jobs to do and we do the best to be professional.I will never go into this store again. I made a call to corporate. Mind you> I never post comments or call customer service surveys...but this was uncalled for. I have received better service in the most seediest places in the Bay Area.... Do not go to this Hancock Fabric. Joanns in Concord or Hancock in Vallejo are much better.

Closed now but was a great little shop for crafty folks
