The staff here was friendly and helpful but they are understaffed. I spent around an your and a half here and the beauty consultants were to busy to answer my questions because they were to busy ringing out customers. With that being said, when a staff member was available, they were pleasant and helpful.they were able to give my mother some great advice on her beauty routine. I just wished she was able.to.get more of this help.On another note, the store was extremely hot and I dont think they even had the air conditioning on. It was 90°F outside and probably around 79°F in the store. This made our hour and a half visit extremely uncomfortable, especially since EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACE MASK DUE TO COVID-19. It was uncomfortable.One of the best things about Sallys beauty store was the vast amount of items that were discounted or on clearance. There were literally hundreds of items marked down. Most were marked down 70-90% of retail. We bought some extra large name brand shampoo bottles, normally retails for $40 per bottle, for just $1.50 per bottle. This was almost like giving it away. Absolutely no doubt the highlight of our trip to the store.All in all, I think the item selection is really just AVERAGE at best. Nearly every item here could be found at drug stores and big-box stores, and at a cheaper price! This location doesnt even sell makeup bags. How does a beauty supply store not stock or carry ANY makeup bags? Literally has no makeup bags or organizers. This is why I cannot give my experience any more than 3 stars.If you are looking for bargain prices on quality products, then give this place a shot. But, if you are looking for a place that has a large variety of different makeup brands, and item selections, I CANNOT recommended coming to this location.its a shame because my mother was extremely excited to come here, as she doesnt ever get out due to her disability.One last side note. I spent over $250 here and enrolled into the loyalty program. Its been 72 hours and I never received the $20 gift card I was told Id get (via the Sallys app)
Horrible experience! I bought clippers from this place and they never worked and they gave me the run around and the cashier was rude when I called her back. She didn’t care nor did she want to exchange the clippers when she knew before she sold them they didn’t work..
I came in nearly in tears because a salon screwed me over and the sales associate with red hair was so sweet to me. She helped me pick out products to help me fix my hair on my own. I really appreciated her empathy.
Always helpful full of tips and today I was super rude because I was on the phone with my mom while checking out. The lady tried not to interrupt my call and only asked for my info and let me have my alone time. Very respectful given how rude I was I hate serving people who are on their phone but if it did bother her she didnt show it!!
Rude rude rude!!! Horrible customer service. Mind you I am new to shopping at Sally’s, so I go in needing help. I had an idea and the customer service rep was not very helpful at all and said there was another woman who needed help so I told her she could help her. 20 minutes later they’re still in cahoots about whatever they’re talking about and I’m standing around looking like an idiot. I just think it’s really rude to leave a customer waiting I was nice enough to let this woman go ahead of me and they’re busy planning a dinner date of some sort(pure sarcasm) customer service truly sucks in this generation. spare yourself the waiting around & just drive a couple of minutes to the Oswego location. Awesome customer service there!
I went there to purchase some clippers and brought some osters at sale price. The cashier was very polite and made my initial experience okay. Once I made it home and open the package, it was full of gray hair and specks of blood was on the clippers. I took it back, explain to them it was used and the cashier said she had another order coming in. So she will call when they arrive & I would still receive the discount as long as its before the end of the month. Two weeks later, no phone call. So I go back to the store only for the cashier to say she dont remember me and the store manager say that the sticky note fell, so they didnt know to call. Ok, whatever, the clippers were in.. I asked her to open the box and the manager was like we cant open the box.. I stated to her the problem with getting a used pair of clippers before and she Id an attitude and didnt care. The cashier open the 1st box which was used with black hair all over it and the second pair was actually new. I was getting ready to cash out and the manager told me I had to pay the full price because the district manager came in the store and took down sale signs. Excuse me? I was told that the sale lasted til the end of the month and I should have got a phone call that never was placed. But now Im getting attitude from the store manager and the cashier stated she didnt remember. What a waste of my time.. Sigh, I expected better from this Sallys.. I will be contacting corporate, I will not shop there again because theyre dishonest and I hope whomever reading would take into consideration the service dealt.
