Melissa has been cutting my son’s hair since he was a year old he is 5 now! she is the best super professional kind and will go out of her way for her clients ! i highly recommend going to her. There is a Nadia that works there there who “ says is a manager too” terrible with costumers has an attitude treats you like if she was working for free for you. She needs some training as to how to speak and treat costumers! Just avoid and, make an app with Melissa she is amazing with kids.

Took my son here for his first haircut 6 years ago just before his 1st birthday and he loved it. Decided my 4 year old daughter was long overdue for a first haircut so we chose KidSnips again and she felt like a princess! They make it so special and the kids are distracted the entire time, I can’t believe how quick it all was.

First I want to say we loved Jenna. She was our preferred stylist. We always go here. Today they lost our business. We called for an appt for my two kids. I am alone. The lady told me I couldn’t bring my other child in the store while they were cutting my sons hair- she would have to sit in the car or I would have to bring another adult with me to stay with her. Mind you they have back to back appointments. I am fully vaccinated, not that it should matter. You want me to leave my FOUR year old in the car huh? Or pay for a babysitter to watch my daughter for 15 min so my son can get his hair cut? Not to mention a bang trim for my daughter takes a few minutes with Jenna. Absolutely ridiculous. We will miss Jenna but Snip Snip next door will accommodate us.

If your toddler hates haircut then this is the right place. I would highly recommemd Hina as she cut my sons hair patiently though he was crying and moving so much! She asked me to sit on chair holding him and I followed her advice. Had to hold him tight since he was moving a lot hahaThey have a very good collection of toys for kids. Glad I was able to buy my son his favorite Jeep toy after his haircut. They are pricey for sure but worth it!

Awesome place! The stylists are always good at talking to my daughter and making her feel comfortable while getting a haircut. Each kid is provided a tablet to watch shows. There is a toy store within this salon, and kids get to pick out a prize after their haircut. Great place, I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I requested a bob for my daughter. Hair dresser took 20 minutes she had to cut her hair and the back looks like my 7 year old cut it herself. Awful, I had to take care her somewhere else to fix it. I had great experiences in the past but this will be the last visit.

The service/results here are really inconsistent. First two times our toddlers haircut was tolerable. Today it was TERRIBLE. My husband said it looked like our toddler got his hair cut while running. Noticeably uneven and the lady even cut his BABY HAIRS in the front. I realize these are just childrens cuts and that their hair will grow back but there should be some skill and consistency!! We will definitely not be going back.

My wife just came back from this business and told me they wanted a 15 month old to wear a mask! The CDC does not recommend masking for kids under 2 years old. If I had been there I would have canceled the service right there but my wife decided to stick to it. Though from now on we will no longer be using their services.

The staff is always so friendly, the place is always clean, and the details make it a great experience for the kids! After the cut they always do such a fun design that the girls adore.

Alex is amazing! We have been going to her since my son was 8 months old and she always makes him feel comfortable. The establishment is always very clean and the staff friendly. There isnt anywhere else I would want to take my children.

I would really recommend Nadya she is nice friendly and really good at her job.We lost our kids hair stylist back in January due to a bad illness. Was loosing my hopes to find someone else as good as she was. Yesterday it was our first visit at this location and we had an amazing 5 stars experience.

This was our first time at Kid Snips! My son normally hates getting his hair cut. He would scream and cry the entire time until we came to this place! Peggy was wonderful with Colton! She was very professional and gentle with him. It was not only a great experience for him but also for us parents! Definitely will come back to Kids Snips for his haircuts.

So they want 9 month old kid to keep wearing mask which is horrible how can u expect from a 9 months old to be diciplined about mask will never go to this place again. we know masks are important in current situation but just keep in mind that noone gonna bring their sick child for haircut and parents will always wear mask..

Michelle was our stylist and she was wonderful. My 3 yr old only gets his hair cut once a year (right before Christmas pictures), so hes not used to it AND he was just waking up from a nap so he was EXTRA cranky. She was perfect with dealing with him and his hair turned out very nice

Best place to take have and be taking our 2 kids. Current one is almost 5, never a complaint there, just the opposite. Great place. Ive seen staff working greatly with kids with certain challenges, very professionally and kindly. And we drive 40 minutes from Joliet to use them. Keep up the great work.

This place is too cute! My little guy is under 1 year but has tons of hair. With summer coming we didnt want him to be to uncomfortable with hair everywhere. My cousin referred the place and I was happy she did. Staff was super friendly, explained the process, cost, etc. Upon arrival I was quicky greeted and checked in. My little guy, as you can see, was too busy playing to even notice he was getting a haircut. Leaving, we received a certificate, lock of hair and picture. It was very cute! We also received a coupon for $5 off our next visit. It is about a 40 minute drive so IDK if Ill return but its definitely a place to go.Parking was super limited as it is in a busy strip mall. But girls were friendly and I left happy. Also has a ton of toys, hair products, accessories to purchase.

Our 3yr old boy loves the cars to sit in and with the games readily available to play on the iPad is genius. Weve tried other places and wasnt quite as attached so its worth paying a little extra! We have a happy good looking boy leaving the salon!

My son does not like the sound of clippers so we have been to multiple shops that offer distractions for kids. No matter where we went he cried when get got in the chair except KidSnips! He loved the atmosphere and all the toys in the shop distracted him and put him at ease! We have been there a few times now and I can report no tears! Thank you KidSnips!

I love this place! Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. I also love how patient the hairstylists are with my children and how they are able to do a phenomenal job on moving targets everytime. They really are very good at what they do.

They are VERY good with children! I took my daughter there for her first haircut. She is usually uneasy around strangers, but they immediately made her feel ay ease. And even when she moved or turned her head, her hairdresser was very patient and simply readjusted. We will definitely be back again!

I dont know if I will be coming back here. If I do, I will not be booking with Cathy ever again. I brought my daughter in for a cut with layers. She never asked me how long I wanted the layers. I assumed she would be asking me before she did them (like they do with my haircuts). Next thing I know she says shes done. I asked her where were the layers? She said well I just did long layers, you never said. In which I responded, you never asked! So she put the shorter layers in it but didnt blend them very well. They look very choppy. I just paid and left BC I didnt want to deal with her amateurness anymore.

Don’t be 10 mins late they will not take you.

Came in really excited to get my baby’s first hair cut, but was disappointed within minutes of waking in. When I walked in there were 6 stylists standing in the middle by the registers and not one greeted us hello. When our stylist walked us over to the chair she didn’t introduce her self or even say hi. She didn’t give any recommendations for haircuts and barely talked to us. If the staff was more friendly and approachable the experience would have been much different.

I would give KidSnips a 5-star review if not for the price. The staff is friendly, the seats and iPads keep your kid distracted, and, overall, it is a good experience. Most importantly, your stylist will listen to your needs and execute what you want so weve never had to go back to fix something.

We took my four-year-old daughter here for her first haircut. I made an appointment online. When we arrived I was a little disappointed to see that they did not have any girl cars (at least none that we saw or that we were shown). They all seemed geared towards boys (police car, train, superhero car). We brought my older daughters to a different kid cut place and they sat in a pink Jeep so my youngest daughter was sort of expecting that and was disappointed that they did not have anything pink to sit in. So then she asked if she could sit in the police car and our stylist told us no, that wasnt her station even though no one was sitting there at the time. Our stylists station was the train and my daughter was very unhappy. Visibly unhappy, pouty face and started to cry. As a parent I absolutely should have just walked out then (totally my fault) but I tried to make the best of it and our stylist just continued with the haircut. The haircut was fine although it was just a trim so there was nothing really to mess up. But I was just very disappointed that this was my daughters first haircut experience. So just a suggestion when you go to book your appointment make sure you tell them which seat you want, I guess even if they do that? No one explained that to me and that is not a option online. Also the amount of toys and other stuff that they sell in their store was very overwhelming and distracting there were other kids running around playing with the toys. I felt very rushed to get in and get out.

I took my daughter here for a haircut before school started. It is basically a toy store that has salon chairs with tablets attached. Of course my child loved it bc of the toys. I thought the haircut was poorly done. I asked for layers and it ended up being choppy and uneven. I had to trim a spots of the short layers that were left uncut when we got home.I paid $25 plus tip to get a bad hair cut and a child begging to get the (overly marked up) toys.

Always fun, always professional ~~ Nikki is the best and always gives a perfect trim. The toys there are off the hizzity hizook. I could literally walk around the store for hours testing out/playing with all the really cool and unique toys and items they have for sale. Love this place but this time the hair stylist didnt notice my daughters head was at an angle while cutting and did it shorter then I wanted but her manager came over and fixed it. Overall great place though

All our family had a great experience while our 18 months son was getting a hair cut. To my total surprise he was distracted with videos and didnt even probably notice that he is getting a hair cut. The stylist was professional and she definitely knew what and how to do. Will be coming back, thank you.

We took our one year old daughter in to get her bangs trimmed, the stylist instantly was asking if we wanted to trim everything. Our daughters hair was not very long at all except for her bangs. My wife was like ok sure I guess without the stylist explaining any price difference or anything. After it was all completed found out while paying the bang trim that we originally came in for was $5 and the full haircut was $20. Very disappointed that the stylist didnt present the price difference especially since we went in asking for a bang trim. Very disappointed and will not be going back for future haircuts especially at $20 a cut for a toddler.

I went here for the first time about two months ago and was thoroughly unimpressed. I stood there for several minutes without so much as a smile or greeting, let alone an offer to help. When the front desk lady finally acknowledged me, it was simply a Do you have an appointment? I said no and her reply was We only cut by appointment. I sarcastically said Thanks for all your help!! She said something along the lines of Call back to schedule one.On December 12, I called to schedule a haircut for our 2yr old and Nicole set us up with a 1215 appointment. We got there about 20 minutes early and waited for an open chair. Melissa was the stylist that took care of us and she was so great. From start to finish, she was caring and friendly.

Denise was great. Just cut my 2yo sons hair and it looks fantastic. She was fast and worked well with him. Definitely recommended!

This is probably the best kids haircut place around. They lose one star due to being late for scheduled appointments, it seems like a ploy to get your kids to play with all the toys inside their store.

I called in the morning and said I needed to make an appointment for some time this week... I told her I had a 1 and a 10 year old and asked if there were any toddler haircut specials. I expect to pay full price for my 10 year old. She said no. I made an appointment for the afternoon. After the kids got their hair cut she told me the price, i asked why a toddler was full price? She said well we have specials on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for them but not today. I explained that I called earlier and specifically asked if there were any this WEEK and I was told there were none. Her reply we get a lot of calls and nobody gives ages. I reminded her that I did! Then we get home and I look at my daughters hair and its UNEVEN! I need to take her someplace to have it fixed.. its odd because we actually loved the hairstylist! She just made a mistake.. that happens and it can be fixed. The huge turn off was the girls attitude at the desk. She was rude and clearly didnt want to be working. So frustrating. So, even though we liked the hairstylist (uneven hair and all).. we wont be back or referring others to this place because of the rude girl behind the desk.

This is the 2nd time that my son had a haircut there. The staff is welcoming and nice. The stylist always check with us until we are satisfied. Although its a little bit pricy, we had good experience.

Made an appointment first thing in the morning for my daughters 1st hair cut. Felt so rushed by the stylist it was becoming uncomfortable. She was supposed to get a 1st haircut certificate which we never received. Luckily her hair turned out super cute so they earned a star back.

Todd did not seem very excited to give my son a haircut. My 2 yo son was crying the whole time. Me and my wife were trying to calm him down but Mr. Todd did not even try to be friendly with my son. He was just busy getting done with the hair do. This was my sons first haircut and we did not have a very pleasant experience here.I have no complaints with the other staff here but I definitely dont recommend the hairstylist. Overall the environment was very kid friendly.

I took my daughter to donate her hair (in their website it says that is free when you donate) and on top of doing a crappy job they charged me for the haircut! The lady didnt listen to what I wanted for my daughter she cut way more than what I had asked and left my little girl looking like a boy! Im so outraged and my little girl is devastated. The people cutting hair there have no idea of what theyre doing! Do not go there because they dont know how to cut hair

My son had his first headshave here. He is two years old. We were worried he was going to cry. But when we entered the place, we were quite amazed at how it had everything kids love!! My son was seated on a car model - seat and there was an ipad to keep him engaged. On top of that he was given toys to hold. And everything looked bright and colorful. My son was aware that the lady was doing something to his hair but it didnt seem to bother him at all. He sat there quitely amused by his chair, toys and some video playing on his ipad. That was a wonderful experience. Thanks to them!

Came here this week. Always the same experience. I ask for a certain haircut for my son and I even show them a picture, they ALWAYS give him the same haircut which is incorrect. And I have to wait weeks for my sons haircut to grow out. I only come here because my son wants to come here because of the toys in the store. Honestly I will have to break it to my 6 year old, this place gives bad haircuts and we will go to another place without toys but we will go to a toy store afterwards. I gave this place more than 5 chances, I just cant do it anymore. And the last time I came here, the receptionist gave a walk-in another persons appointment since she was a little late....the person showed up and the receptionist LIED to the lady telling her her appointment was not in their system, it must be another location she had called. Seriously, so unprofessional.

I brought my 3 year old son here for a haircut in Dec 2015 and he received a horrible haircut. I didnt know about it until later because the hairstylist had wet his hair and combed it over so it seemed uniform when we left. After giving him a bath and drying his hair, I started noticing all the ragged edges and unevenness with his hair cut.I came back the next day with my son and the receptionist pretended to be confused as to what was wrong with my sons haircut...as if it was not evident just by looking at him how bad his haircut was and then I was told to wait 15 minutes while the receptionist handled other customers.Thankfully another hair stylist approached me, who had just given a very good haircut to another child and asked what she could do to fix my sons haircut. She immediately acknowledged there were multiple issues with my sons haircut and proceeded to correct the mistakes. Her name is Nikki --if you come here, request her for a good kids haircut. Otherwise save your money for another location, as the receptionist will not reimburse you or even acknowledge your child has had a bad haircut.
