I would leave 0 stars if I could. Why would they leave their big dog in the middle of the aisle of the store?! Not everyone likes dogs. When I called to ask them to move the dog they told me to go to another store. Like what?!? Where’s the customer service??? No wonder they have such low ratings. I’m surprised they survived the pandemic and are still open. Don’t go here unless you like dogs.

The store owner Michelle, once you get to know her, is a very sweet person who cares a lot about what she does. I have received countless positive reviews on eBay for the way she packs the boxes up and selects the sizing. I ship a lot of oddly shaped collectibles so having access to all the different sizes of boxes is very cool. She even has a tool to cut the box down to the perfect size - Ive never seen anyone do that but her. Thank you so much for helping me make my items look great!

Had to stop by to get some forms done for my employment. The lady at the counter was very friendly; however, she would chat with every single customer for a long time. Four to five other customers came after me for shipping and even though I had an appointment, she made me wait for 20-25 minutes so that she could help everyone else who came after me. They also have a dog inside the store and he barked the entire time. The lady didn’t do anything about it and continued to chat with her customers.

Boxes etc. has been really helpful, as I recently moved into Naperville and had to get a number of things for my condo. They are helpful and professional, and they have a wonderful dog as their greeter!

Watching the owner prepare/pack a box is like watching an artist create a masterpiece. I use their services for shipping eBay sales and each buyer has expressed their appreciation for the great packing job. Excellent service, very reasonable pricing.

The clerks (a man and a women) are not polite at all. I go there for ID verification. I have an appointment at 9 and arrive a little bit early (about 5~8 mins). The woman asks me to come back on 9 in a impolite way. I wait outside until 9. When I step into the store, I go to the mans desk, and show him my ID. The man yells at me and even says F* word. I dont know why the guy is so angry at me. I have lived in this area for ten years, I never meet the people who are so rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. If you want to go to this store, think twice!

Since we live just a few feet away, we use this store to send packages for convenience. Turns out we have to stop using their service and go to the USPS post office directly, The lady (probably the owners wife) is always very rude. I just went there to ship something to Chicago, and she tried to sell me $18 UPS/FEDEX priority mail, despite me saying that package needs to reach in 10 days and not very urgent.She made use of COVID-19 situation and falsely mentioned that it takes more than 2 weeks for packages to reach, even from Naperville to Chicago (just 45 min drive), since most of Post office staff are ill and under-staffed - REALLY?! I finally went ahead with $12 USPS priority mail option.While the guy is relatively better in customer service than the lady, this is my 2nd horrible experience with the lady. Advice to the owners - DO NOT RIP PEOPLES MONEY.

We have had nothing but good experiences and piece of mind using this company. We had packages sent to The Boxes for our online business use to ensure that they wouldnt be sitting at my front door unattended. I had piece of mind that they were delivered to The Boxes and they would call me when the package arrived. We also just went on a recent trip to Europe and we took The Boxes address so that we could have packages delivered to that location vs home address. They called me when the package arrived safe and sound from London! The owners have always been very helpful and friendly to us. We would definately recommend this business to our friends.

I am posing this again for they have been so helpful to my business and personal shipments as well, not just over the recent holidays but continuously year after year. They are ALWAYS so very helpful and patient, plus they are open late!! I love all the packing options and the gifts they sell too are a bonus!

Giving them 3 stars because theyve been very helpful in the past, however the last time I was there the woman at the front desk acted like she couldnt have cared less about me and dismissed me immediately because she was finishing up an order from a previous customer. No eye contact whatsoever. After five or so minutes she takes one look at the package and says Ill have to take it to the UPS store. Maybe she couldve told me that if shed given me the time of day and said hello when I walked in.

If you appreciate a calm environment and excellent customer service, this is the place to go to! Also: they own a very cute dog!

I have used the services of The Boxes Etc. for many years with tremendous success. The owner, Michele Zajac, has consistently gone above and beyond all of my expectations. I travel extensively and cannot always pick up my mail from my PO Box so she personally keeps an eye out for mail that looks to be of an urgent nature, contacts me and then sends it to me. I highly recommend this organization.

Went there to get a document notarized it was located right by my house I called a coue times never got an answer so I went in the store a man Im unsure of his name said they dont notarize in December which makes no scene Put a sign up or something if u dont just say so because you dont feel like doing so horrible horrible customer service

Have no respect, was in the storethere was a man at the checkout, when communicating with him you might think that he is the king of the world.

Unfortunately similar to others I had a bad experience here. Person was not friendly and acted like I was imposing by picking up a package. I just expect pretty baseline customer service but did not even receive that. I felt like I was being interrogated just because I was not able to be home to sign for a UPS package and this was where they dropped it off. Not sure why they dont just use the UPS store but I do not look forward to picking up more packages here if its necessary in the future.

This place is amazing! They are always super nice and take the best care of our packages. We come from Aurora/Oswego area just to ship things.

I go here all the time. They are very experienced and helpful. They have helped me pack and ship a number of unusual and fragile items. They are also a great place to take old boxes of documents for shredding.

The service here is A+. The Boxes etc is conveniently located for me and I am here just about weekly. I shipped two large paintings cross country and they arrived in perfect condition. They know their business here. It is much easier for me to stop here for both USPS and UPS instead of making two different stops, both of which are farther away with longer lines.

I went in for a notary, that they advertise. She lady who is in charge rudely said Im to busy to busy what? Doing her job? She should not advertise being a notary and then rudely tell paying customers she is to busy. Frankly that is bad business. FedEx, UPS and USPS are not are down the street, save yourself a headache and go straight there.

Always top notch service. Professional and Courteous. Highly-recommended. And I love their dog Suki; shes very sweet.

The lady working in there has a real attitude and acts like she doesnt want to be bothered to help you especially if you come in with a package that already has prepaid postage. Also, they have a dog in the facility which could bother people with allergies to animals.

This morning I placed a review about the store. The owner replied to my review accusing me of damaging the box. This is completely false! I started to assemble the box and got yield at by the owner for grabbing the wrong one. I left the store because I did not want to argue. Obviously the owner is confrontational and is lacking basic customer service.

Have no respect, I have cynophobia and they did not care at all. The guy basically didnt care at all. My appointment was at 9am, they opened the doors at 9:10am. Unprofessional and VERY SELFISH ON THEIR END.

This is the best place to do business with! I have more than one business and they are very helpful with my business needs. The entire staff is always helpful and friendly and because of the way they handle business on a daily basis, I started to rent a mailbox there so they could assist me with my mailing needs. I had a mailbox in Schaumburg and they charged customers to ship packages even when they already had pre-printed labels, and here they will ship your packages for free with pre-printed labels and will help you if you need advice on which is the cheapest way to ship. I recommend this business to anyone that needs to ship items or needs a mailbox service! You will not be disappointed

Very unprofessional! I grabbed a box to ship my old cell phone. The rude lady shouted that this is the wrong box and she made a big deal out of the situation. She said I wasted the box and she can’t sell it anymore! Stay away from that store!

If I could give this no stars, I would. I have been shipping through here for all my shipping needs (holidays, birthdays, buying stamps, etc.) almost 2.5 years because it is convenient. I have never been over-impressed with this place (it usually takes a while, theyre not very friendly, etc.) but it was convienent and easy so I kept going. I wont be going anymore nor, will I recommend it to my neighbors or friends.This morning, I had my nanny drop off a postage-paid box there for a return I needed shipped back - so it should have been a simple, painless, straightforward process. When my nanny dropped it off, the owner (the same woman others have said below was rude) yelled at her asking which address it neeed to go to. Apparently we forgot to rip off or cross off the original address label (where it was adressed from the company to me) -- it was not my nannys fault for not noticing that or knowing the shipping rules. The owner yelled at her and kept asking which address needed to be crossed out - my nanny told her, the owner crossed it out, and my nanny left. My nanny was on the phone with a relative and on her way out of the store, she told her relative about this terrible experience/said how rude The Boxes etc woman was to her (okay, admitting not the best thing to do while in the store - but regardless). After my nanny got into her car to leave, the owner came running out, yelling and screaming at her saying that she wouldnt ship our package and to take it back.Because I was not there to experience this drama myself, I gave the owner a call just to see what happened, give her a chance to redeem herself from a customer service perspective, etc. and also share my feedback that I didnt think her actions were very professional. The woman right away started yelling, screaming and arguing her position with me before even hearing what I had to say or was calling about, etc. I probably said all of 17 words when she hung up on me and said that she didnt want to argue any more with me. :) Okay, no problem. Were done. Sorry youre having a bad day. I wasnt calling to argue. I was calling to see how shed respond and if she had the professionalism and customer service where-with-all to apologize and say perhaps that the entire situation could have been handled differently. I got my answer.Im not one to post negative reviews but this experience was so terrible that I felt obligated to for everyone elses sake. It is worth driving further away to find shipping another place. Trust me.
