Great class!! The instructor Was very patient with me. After I fired my first shot I was startled and decided I didnt want to finish my 49 rounds. He was very understanding. I stepped away collected my self and asked him if I could finish because I didnt want to waste my money and he said yes maam you can!! I went back to the Line and he help me collect my self for my next round and I did great!! You will be satisfied people!! Miss Cindy was great also. GUN CITY USA ROCK!!
I took this class from Gun City and it was awesome. The instructor was very knowledgeable, thorough and professional with a little bit of humor thrown in to keep everyone interested. I tend to get sleepy during classes like this, but this was not the case with this class. The instructor thoroughly covered TN laws, gun safety, and dos and dont of a responsible gun owner. I went in to the class a little apprehensive about owning a gun, but came out of the class confident that I can be a responsible gun owner as well as carry one if I feel the need to. I highly recommend the Gun City class to anyone wanting to apply for a handgun carrying permit.
I could feel the hate at the door! My God What Mean People! They let you know that blacks ARE NOT WANTED HERE! BYPASS THIS PLACE!!!!! No one would help me. When I found the gun I wanted they wouldnt sale it to me. She advise the reason I couldnt purchase the firearm because I probably buying it for someone else. Wow!
I took the class in August 2017. The instructor was knowlegable about gun laws in Tennessee. He was patient and answered all questions. I am a retired police officer and firearms instructor. I can tell you with complete confidence, you will be prepared and informed after taking the course at Gun City.
The instructor probably doesn’t get told enough how awesome he is. Even though he’s probably taught the course 200 times you wouldn’t know it by his presentation. Had some trouble getting ahold of them at first but glad I stuck it out.
Had an incredible experience with the handgun permit course the teachers were incredible and extremely helpful. I would recommend anyone who needs to take the course go through gun city.
This place was once a good place to go. Now, not so much. This place does not even have guns anymore. Just I high priced shop with junk. The shooting range is junk. Dont shoot there there is a lot of bounce back. Stay away from this place. Right next door though you will find a great gun shop that had all kinds of fun toys....
Range is small, but sufficient and clean. Its not fancy, but the prices are really reasonable. The people working there are friendly and we were given a discount because it was the end of the day.
I would like to say thanks to Todd,Cindy & Debbie, you guys rock I really enjoyed the class and the teaching,it was well worth it keep up the good work, let me not forget all the goody s Debbie brought and shared with us 😉
Owner is very nice and got a good vibe the people in the store next door were very mean and couldnt give any advice did not seem like they knew what they were doing
Mrs. Cindy was a great woman and Mr. Todd was a great instructor and I highly recommend you take this class!! 😀😀😊😊
NASHVILLE ARMORY is better & not to far away. GunCity has bad customer service & You get what you pay for. Very old looking and ragedy! Only one person to help. Felt rushed by old man with attitude and they dont answer phones
I had a wonderful experience training with you guys today.Thank you so much Ms.Cindy for working with me and helping me during that process.Todd was an awsome instructor!Ms.Debbie you were a JOY!Thanks for helping me put my bullets in my magazine.I will be stoping by to see you guys. Thanks for the opportunity!
This place is great very clean. Very comfortable and cheap, I was there yesterday 10-12-2012 for about two hours and I love it, I went after 4:00pm, I only pay 10$ !!. This place is perfect for shooting, zeroing a red dot. Most important the owner was very nice. I dont understand how people can leave so many negative reviews. If you are planning on going there, Please dont listen to this people I highly recommend it. I been to many shooting range and by far this indoor range is not bad at all. Im a former Infantry SSG at the U.S ARMY station in Fort Campbell KY (101 -3BCT 3/187). Im looking forward on going there tomorrow again with two of my buddy’s.
Bought a Groupon for a class and tried to call to schedule the class for two weeks; but did not receive a return call. When I finally got someone to answer I was told the classes were only held on Sunday. I explained that I could not attend on Sunday and stated that this information should have been on the ad. Needless to say I was out my money because you only have 3 days to cancel with Groupon. Had someone returned my call or answered the phone this would not have happened. Poor customer service.
I went to Gun City yesterday to use the range. It was by far the WORST range I have ever saw. The cable system is horrid. I felt like I was in a dungeon. The guy behind the counter was rude. He said you have to extend the target all the way to the end. Ok, that is 50ft. Who in their right mind is going to have a gun fight with anyone at 50ft. If anyone needs to use their firearm it is going to be 20ft or less. Then after that arrogent speech he gave, the phone rang and once again they are not selling firearms due to paperwork issues. Needless to say, I went down to the basement, extended the target all the way to the end, shot 15 rounds and got the hell out of there. Moral of this story, DO NOT GO TO GUN CITY. I left and went to Guns and Leather in Hendersonville where I KNOW I will get excellent customer service and shoot in a range that I know is extremely safe. I will say it again, spend the extra gas and go to Guns and Leather.
It was my first time being in Gun City Range and i would say that the appeal of that spot is good but wouldnt say the best, but overall everything else it was excellent. The clerk named Steve was very generous enough to school me on the Taurus Judge Public Defender i have and learn alot from it, i have never bought a cleaning kit for my revolver so i decided i needed to. Luckily i did and while he was showing me what can happen with the gun after i shot 100 rounds lets say 75x 45 Long Colts and 25 410 2 1/2 mini shotgun shells it would be need to clean, then my judge suddenly drops a screw witch was the screw to make sure the cylinder of my gun stayed put. He was kind enough to search for it found it and made sure to check twice if i dropped anything else with it did searched again and found the other piece just to make sure that it was not missing anything else. So i was happy enough that my gun is in tact and already been cleaned thoroughly with the steps he told me to follow, im grateful with the service he has given to me and i would go back just so i can thank him again and shoot another 100 rounds hahah.. Overall good Excellent costumer service and i would come back again!
I like shooting in the dundgeon.Steve is a good gunsmith and a wealth of info which makes it worth the trip,OK the place isnt fancy, doesnt serve bon bons and frappucinos but its a vfw/american legion style gun range. Its good to slide in,blow off a hundreds rounds to keep your skills on and go back to work. This place was happening at one time but the owner let it go.They dont stock weapons anymore, but hey for 10 bucks i dont need a massage or computer targets or noobs scared to shoot 500 feet.they also tell you when you sign in, to POSITION THE TARGET AGAINST THE BACK WALL OR DEBRIS WILL FLY.simple, when you shoot there u acknowledge this when u sign in.yeah it sucks that people dont read and just wahoo on in, but ive seen worse at other places closeby so no one is worse than the other. Not the best place to bring a shooting date, unless shes a goth chick, but again its cheap and it works. For the crew that wants to simulate defensive and offensive tactics this aint the place....your buddies 20 acre farm is..hooah
Went ONE time! Will not go back again! Very poor service, even worse gun range in the basement. Back stop is SUPPOSED to be in the ceiling, louvers are supposed to point away from you. The way its set up you get bits of metal jacket flung back at you, peices of lead as well. Was hit in the chin with part of a jacket.VERY unsafe, dont know how theyve stayed open so long. Trouble with the ATF at various times. Will never go back.
It has been years since I was in Gun City because I did not like their attitude. Sounds like I have not missed anything.
Owner old and grumpy type. Rarely speaks and when he does its usually rude
The sign on the door says open, but the doors are locked and no one is there. Wasted trip.
Drove an hour. Closed. Thanks for nothing.
