Great experience also! Stopped in to see if the stitching in the uppers of my favorite pair of shoes could be repaired as it had begun to deteriorate. The owner took a quick look then took them over to his stitching machine. A couple minutes later they were as good as new while I waited. I had expected to leave them with the shop. Overpriced and sketchy.Went in and was quoted high price, subsequently did sub par work where I had to ask for the shoe to be repaired better. Perhaps this is a local thing to be dishonest and underdeliver, but dont shop here unless you have money and time to throw away.

After Henri-Bendel shops closed there was no service to have the fastener on my purse fixed. My town no longer has a shoe/leather repair shop. I happened upon Peabody Shoe Repair when in Nashville and am so glad I did. The work is excellent and looks like manufacturer quality. I thought the cost of labor was reasonable, too. Would give 10 stars. Incredibly quick responding to emails. Easily accessible and a (shared) parking lot which is rad.But the real value is in their work. They turned my boots around in a few days, shorter than expected. New soles on one that look similar but better than the original. The other pair I brought in had heels that were ground down to triangles from me dragging them. They were able to build them up to look brand new and for less than the cost of a resole.Will use them again. Thank you!

Hey if you need anything leather repaired- shoes, boots, jackets, purses, you name it, they will bring it back to life here. Top shelf repairs, at reasonable prices. Theyre pretty amazing- Ive been a customer for 2 1/2 yrs., always consistent & fair. I need 1/2 orthopedic lift on all my right shoes/boots, and I wouldnt bring them anywhere else. Sole build- ups last me at least a year+. My shoes wear out before their work does. Check them out. Highly recommend!

Had a pair of dress shoes with a heel coming off. They said both shoes needed the heel worked on b/c if one did it, the other likely isn’t far behind. That’s fine but it made the price more than I wanted to pay. The shoes were ready when they said & staff was friendly/knowledgeable. However on the 2nd or 3rd time wearing the shoes, the heel came totally off again.

Dropped off a pair of motorcycle boots to have some pull up straps added and they got them completed in just a couple days, even though he told me it might take more than a week (you could tell they were very busy). Very happy with their work and I highly recommend. I will definitely go back if I need any other leather work done.

Absolutely flawless service went in with 2 really bad heels and they were done and back to new in less than an hour! Mr. Peabody was very kind and respectful and embodied all of what Nashville is all about. It may be a Mom and Pop family business but is definitely the hidden gem of this shopping center!

Excellent! Cant say enough good things about Peabody. I needed a zipper replaced in a clutch. I actually initially went to Golden Boot and they wanted $75 to do it. That was more than the value of the clutch; I took a chance on Peabody and they quoted $35, half the price! The work is excellent and I am extremely pleased with it. Staff here is friendly and very helpful as well. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend! Took a pair of leather shoes there with splattered drink stains on them thinking there is no way they were coming out. Not only did they get all of the stains out, the shoes looked brand new. Great, friendly customer service as soon as you walk through the door. Fair pricing - I paid about $27 for my shoes to look good as new. It took them about a week to complete, but it was worth it when I saw the work they had done.

Quick and cheap!I had only worn my boots twice and the second time I wore them, I noticed the bottom of one of the heels was missing when I got home. I dropped my shoes off at Peabody at 5:00 pm Tuesday and they were ready by noon the next day! They replaced the bottom of the other shoe as well so that they would match. All for $16! Will definitely be back and would 100% recommend to support small businesses!

I am a shoe fanatic and I only take my shoes to Peabody Shoe repair. I took two pair of shoes in to be fixed and they did it on the spot and they were very nice and polite. I later took a purse in to be repaired they did a great job and was able to pick it up the next day. I recommend you take all shoes and leather goods here to get fixed. Come prepared because they might fix it on the spot and they only accept check or cash only.

LOVE Peabody Shoe Repair! I have been using them for many years. They have fixed too many boots of mine to remember how many it has been now. My parents used to have things fixed here when I was a kid and now that I am an adult I continue to bring them all my leather that needs to be fixed. He has been able to resole and revive 3 pairs of boots that I inherited from my grandmother, and that means the world to me that I can continue to walk in the boots of my late grandmother. They have always done a good job even to the boots that I had to beg them to fix. He used to not resole rubber soled shoes and used to work only in leather soles. He finally started fixing rubber soled shoes and he brought back to life a pair of shoes I have had for 10 years. Serious miracle workers. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my favorite boots.

These guys have both great prices and great service, especially compared to a few others I have tried. They used to be in my neighborhood, and after they moved away, I tried a few others, but I ended up going out of my way to use these guys again. They are in a much lower rent space, and I imagine this is part of what helps them to keep prices relatively low, especially compared to others I have tried. Thanks guys!

Wow! These guys are a throwback to my childhood when family owned shops existed. I needed a tiny repair, the guy did it and refused to charge me. I went in with another pair and he said dont bother it cant really be repaired correctly dont waste your money. Ive taken in another pair and they did a super job

Dropped a pair of boots off at 10:15 am to have the heels repaired. Got a phone call at 2:00 pm that same afternoon letting me know they were ready. They also reminded me that they only accept checks or cash. My boots were polished and shined as well. Very happy!!

Great over the phone however game change at the counter. Higher price etc. Then upon my return no guarantee on whether the shoe stretched or not. I paid never to return again.

I needed a pair of soccer cleats fixed that were coming apart at the toe of the sole, I took them in there and walked out in about 5 mins. Very friendly and very reasonable prices! It made my day.

This place is great. Little expensive but for my boots grandma bought me that I cant part with, this is where to bring them to get resoled.

Took my boots there to have the heel fixed and they told me I would need the hole sole replaced. Cost was $45. Picked my boots up yesterday and the only thing they replaced was the heel. A BIG RIP OFF!!! Never again.

Took a pair of expensive shoes to Peabody. All I needed were buckles added to the shoes. I already had the buckles (no purchase necessary). They charged me almost $30 to add one pair of buckles that should have cost $5-$15 Max. I was told on the phone before I brought the shoes in that if I had the buckles already, the price would be much lower. A piece of the buckle actually fell off before I left the store, they re-attached it and by the next day I put them on to wear for work and the same piece popped off again. They also do not take credit cards, only CASH or check (which is sketchy). I had to ask for a receipt prior to leaving the store or the clerk would not have given me a receipt. Consumers be wary.

Objectively speaking: I think they would have probably done a good job on the bag I brought in.Subjectively speaking: Kate was the reason I went to pick up my bag and not leave it there.Took my bag there a while back to see if they could make the repairs with screws and leather that needed attention..a woman named Hannah was great, she took a long time with me at the counter and walked me through what the process would be for my bag since Kate was out. I provided suggestions and what I would be ok with if they couldnt salvage various areas of the bag, I actually pointed at a bag that was hanging to provide a reference as to what Id be open to with replacing the straps...all was well and I was looking forward to the bag being updated.However, no one ever reached back out to me so I called today about my bag and Kate answered the phone, I shared with her that I dropped my bag there and that Hannah knows what needed to be repaired.She went to look for my bag, found then, then wanted me to walk her through what needed to be repaired, I shared with her that I had already done that with Hannah and if they could talk it would be great vs me going over it all again...specially because I gave examples to Hannah using bags that were in the store at that time of what Id be ok with them replacing...I cant do that over the phone again weeks later, the reference bags were likely no longer there and I was not in person.what really pushed me over the edge was Kate CONTINUALLY talking over me while I was speaking, answering me before I finished asking my question; simply curt in her responses...in short, she was rude and moreover pushing to just fix the bag same day and get it out the door, pushing me to spend $100 when I said Id like to just come pick up the bag and not have anyone work on it.All I was looking for was for her to confirm with Hannah that what I shared weeks ago was addressed...Kate however felt as though she didnt need to and actually told me this is pretty cut and dry with a condescending tone and laugh along with it....it was absolutely not cut and dry what I had asked Hannah to look at and share with Kate. She called out 3 screws that need to be fixed when I was trying to explain there were at least 5 or 6 (as I had gone over them with Hannah) that needed to be looked at...all in all - even if they would have done a good job Id never walk back into that store...not worth it to spend that kind of money and be spoken to that way.

I have been using them for years! And I have always loved them! But recently I took a pair of cream Bandolino shoe booties over there to repair the heels that had been scratched from getting caught in the cracks on the sidewalk and the work was sub par at best. Not to mention the black stuff that is always on their hands were on the top fabric part of my shoes and I cant get that crap off for anything! Im so sad to say since the young guy left they have really gone down in service. I hate that. They are all so friendly but perhaps pay a little more attention to the detail.

Brought my favorite, travel-weary, 25-year old briefcase in because the stitching was coming loose, and in fact the bottom had opened up. In less than 48 hours, they had repaired, re-stitched, and re-conditioned it. I feel like it will last another 25 years. After a long time of fruitless searching for reliable repair service from people who CARE, I am glad I found Peabody.

Have been to several shoe shops in Nashville. These guys are always busy but they always do a good job. No one else comes close.

Hit or miss. Guy inside is nice and quickly put a couple boot heels on for me with no problem. Brought an expensive pair of brand new shoes in to tack rubber soles on however and they were returned with numerous scratches all over. Guy said they were there when he got them (brand new out of box) and he wasnt able to do anything.Brought the scratched up shoes to Nordstrom and the guys there fixed it like new in 2 minutes. They do the same services for roughly the same price. Would highly recommend the Nordstrom shoe counter for repairs and service.

Excellent quality shoe repair. Ive used Peabody Shoe Repair for about 10 years. They have always provided high quality workmanship and are reasonable in price and turn around time. They moved from 21st Ave in Hillsboro Village to 718 Thompson Lane behind Applebeas in Berry Hill (100 Oaks), so its now easier for most people to get to even from Brentwood or anywhere in Nashville. Parking is a breeze. Troy and his staff are experts and take pride in serving their customers.

Not Good. Must say Im quite displeased. Shop patriarch was a bit rude and condescending upon initial greeting. I asked for velcro REPLACEment on a nylon webbing belt. They didnt bother to remove the old velcro and just stacked the new velcro on top of the old, did a very ugly stitch job and now the material is so thick, it wont fit through the opening in the recieving buckle, therefore rendering the belt useless. Make sure you inspect the work before you pay. Now I must find another shop to correct their laziness and lack of work ethic. If you want particular work done here, make sure you bring a dictionary to make sure they understand the words you use to describe what you want done. For example, Replace.

I have had two pair of expensive boots re-heeled and soled, and they are very comfortable. Very good craftsmanship!

Very poor experience. First I would mention that they did not tell me how much it would cost or when it would be ready when I dropped it off so, after a week and a half I had not heard from them so I went by to see if my boot was ready. They could not even find my boot!! So I waited another week and still had not heard from them. So I went by again and they still could not find my boot! It took them 20 minutes to find it and then told me cash only! This is not how you run a business not to mention very poor customer service. I gave them 1 star because they did fix the zipper, but I wont be back.
