Always liked Ace Hardware since I was a kid. The staff a Ace Hardware in Donelson do not disappoint. Always friendly and helpful. Ive even had the manager, Joe, help me many times! I like that he is out helping his staff help the customers. Class outfit!!

I like to support stores like this because they are not big box stores. But I will never again support this Ace Hardware. I went in on Aug 5, 2021 to buy machine screws and matching nuts. When I went up to pay for them, the cashier told me he didnt have a way to count them, and he rudely told me to step out of line, go sit down, and count them myself!I told him I would just go to Home Depot. He said okay. I did go to Home Depot. They didnt have a problem with counting the screws!

Ace is my usual haunt for just about all my hardware needs. It sure beats going to the big home centers. Employees are friendly and not pushy and they are very knowledgeable. Plus being nearby makes for quick trips for most household repairs or things I forgot or dont have to finish a repair. The main reason for dealing with Ace is the more personal service you get. Always there to help with a smile. Just dont get much better than that!

My husband and I are working on a project for our new home. We drove to an Ace Hardware that said online it had what we were looking for in Columbia, my mistake, it was closed. We double checked and found this location had what we were looking for - and I checked the hours to make sure they were open. We arrive and I ask a gentleman for help, says “oh, yeah im pretty sure we don’t have that.” I let him know we drove from out of town because online said it was in stock. He radioed over to a coworker who confirmed they did not have any. He said “yeah, we’re out.” And walked away. He didn’t offer me any solutions, any way to help contact another store to find it, or even apologize. I was very disappointed. We’re driving to a third location now; after I had to call another Ace to make sure they have what we need.

BUYER BEWARE. I live local I believe in supporting our local stores. Also I work in the music industry and one of my artists endorses the Ace brand. Not this one anymore. My buddy was having a bad day flat tire so I went and purchased a air compressor to help him out. After using it to fill the tire He realized it leaks pressure. It’s a slow leak. So he went to return it and was told I had to be there to swipe my card. Now I bought tools that day as well not just the air compressor. So I get there and return it. And Tyler comes up and takes it from me and plugs it in. Goes to pressure and stops looks at me and says theirs nothing wrong with it. And I said well we can wait here for a bit while it looses pressure. But I don’t have the time to do that so I would like to return it. He huffs to the back and returns saying the manager said he would return it with a 10% restocking fee. I said it’s defective and I’m not paying a restocking fee. Show me on the receipt or any sign in the store that states that rule. Now I can prove I’ve spent a little over 500$ in the last week in this store without buying a compressor so I said fine charge me the fee but I’m going home and getting everything that I bought this week and returning it. I don’t play games. I said I wanted to talk to the manager himself. And then I was told he was too busy. I’m too busy to shop there anymore. I did return the compressor and asked for the owners number. They gave me an email address for a Darin but the link didn’t work. As Tyler was returning the compressor he made it to point to ask if my buddy’s tire was fixed. Great customer service 👍🏻

Most of the staff was pretty friendly and helpful, however, the attitude of the person working the checkout over shadow what started out as a pleasant stop.The checkout person was harsh, and very unpleasant to deal with. He was even unpleasant when explaining the oneway acesss egress system.He had an attitude that made me feel that he would rather I take my business somewhere else, chances are, I probably will.I would rather patronize the smaller hardware store where service is normally more personal, and tends to serve the community, but, I would much rather drive a further distance than to be treated like my business is not important.

Before I arrive I checked online to make sure the item I’m looking for they have it in stock and it showed that they do so I drove up to pick it up come to find out they didn’t have it which is not a really problem at all but the lady who helped us said that she can place an order in today arrive on Friday which was the 10th she checked online make sure that the item was available and I prepare for it to get it but Friday came along attempted Narine they said it’s going to be Tuesday Tuesday come alone still no product the gentleman who I talk to Köse and says they should’ve told you that it’s going to be here such and such date and I said well buddy that’s on you what kind of a manager are you not to train your people properly. It’s not that lady’s fault clearly who help me anyway possible.

Very friendly staff. This is my go to spot for Blues Hog products. If your not familiar with Blues Hog products, and you love BBQ you should look into their products you will not be disappointed. I also picked up a couple of hose bib handles that none of the big box stores had available, and the price was a 1/4 of what I found online. Ace also has a large selection of each nuts, bolts, screws etc... Next time your in need of some diy home improvement stuff make ACE the place.

They were nice, but my only issue is that I received a flyer at home and unfortunately, I didnt have it with me when I stopped in. The flyer had BOGO offers, but when I asked the associates about the offers, nobody knew anything about the flyer or what I was talking about. The associate was very nice and tried to help me. I thought maybe the ad was expired, but when I got home and looked at it again, the ad was still going through the end of the month. I would just like for the associates to be a bit more familiar and aware of the ongoing sales and promotions. I did appreciate the friendliness of the employees though.

I purchased a lawnmower last week and mistakenly assumed by the look and price that it was self propelled as most of the mowers displayed had no price tags or information visible on the equipment, had a hard time just finding out the price. The mower was briefly used for a few minutes by my wife when I realized it wasn’t what we thought were buying. Cleaned mower up and tried to return and purchase one that was what we originally needed at a considerable increase in cost. I was told I was out of luck so beware what you purchase from this store. I will not spend another dime in this store if that’s the way they treat their customers, especially one that spends as much as I do in their store.

I needed to replace a plug on my air compressor, Lowe’s was unhelpful no surprise there. At this ACE they showed me exactly what I needed, answered all my questions and at the end of the day I was able to get my compressor back up and running. Highly recommend.

For years I have been going to Lowes in Hermitage when I actually live closer to Ace hardware so Ive been giving it a try for the last year every single time I go there Im greeted with a smile and a can I help you because Lowes now you cant find anybody to help you waste time but at Ace they help you they make paints exactly the way you give them the samples their salespeople take you right to where you need to find what youre looking for so Ive changed my thinking its better to stay close to home for great service than to drive further away for no service! I just hope they bring the popcorn back soon!

Listed hours are wrong. Online sat hours say 7:30 but the staff report they dont open till 8. But, staff was friendly and very helpful.

No help no courteous especially the Assistant MANAGER hes rude and unhelpful the was extremely nice and apologize for the of him. I live in Donelson and I love your but help is hard to get there.Your Assistant Manager is rude to your employees and I think you should investigate.

Not easy to communicate with hearing imparied. Those staff people ignored us because they knew we are hearing imparted so.

We live in Pa and for some reason we could not get a tool set delivered to our son, who lives in East Nashville, using Ace Hardwares website. I called the Ace Hardware Donelson store, which was the closest to my sons home. I talked to Tyler and explained our problem. He said he would take care of it for us and he did !! . We want to thank Tyler for making the extra effort in delivering a tool set to my son even if it was a little out of his delivery zone. We appreciate all you have done.

Little pricey, but we always buy our mulch there because you get a good price on bulk.

Staff is very helpful. The store is very clean and organized. An employee helped me track down a product that had recently been restocked and wasnt on the shelf yet. This store had far more product and variety than most Ace or other smaller hardware stores Ive shopped at (and result to shopping at the larger stores). I would definitely shop here more often if I lived closer. 10/10

Came to this location to pick up Milorganite Fertilizer. Online it’s showing it is available at this location but I was told by a young man it wasn’t. Made a long drive for absolutely nothing.

Yesterday we went To this store! A friendly and intelligent brown haired lady checked both my husband and me out with speed and we will shop there when need items because of good customer service!

I am so glad that Ace Hardware is back in Donelson. Their staff member Kal helped me get keys copied and parts for plumbing and electrical needs are easy to find and staff help answer questions I frequently ask. I found everything I wanted for my grill at ace,It was a very convenient place.I was helped with a smiling face,They got me in and out in at a fairly quick pace.Thats enough of my little rhyme,Perhaps more for another time.

I like supporting local stores. Typically no problem with service inside. Staff helpful, but prices can seem ridiculous. Went in recently for propane exchange (25 lbs.) And was told its %$25. I can get it for about half price if I drive further. Instead I went down the street 2 minutes and saved about $16 on two exchanges.

Ace hardware is always a classic. I often wonder how they can afford to pay to have so many employees on staff as there is always someone there to help you find what you need even if you arent sure what that is. I dont think Ive ever spent more than 10 minutes inside the store because the staff helps you find what you need very quickly.

The employees are not helpful. Took my 85 year old mother, and she could not get assistance. Other customers were greeted and offered assistance, but we were not. Rude, nasty staff at this store.

The convenience is great. Small enough to carry what I need, large enough to give me options. Ace in Donelson is another staple store of the community.

Awsome. Its always that way at Ace. Everyone is so helpful. I love shopping there. I may save a few cents if I shopped elsewhere but nothing beats the customer service at Ace Hardware. They also have knowledge when it comes to projects as well. Phil in particular has helped me several times but all the folks do a superb job. Nowhere better in town to shop.

Went to get axes & goggles, but they didnt have goggles that went over glasses in stock (Ive got some normal ones, Ill just need to wear my contacts). Helpful staff, the cashier even had spray hand sanitizer when I finished paying.

Cool little hardware store. Very country feeling, but lots of cool things for your house! Stop by, friendly helpful people and if they dont have, they will order it for you, they did for me!

Nice local hardware store. Great to run in for a quick item. The kids love the free popcorn. There are always people available to help if you need it!

While this Ace is limited in scope, theyve got a majority of the bits I need on a regular basis plus a few items I could never find at the box stores. The staff is plentiful, knowledgeable, and consciousness, in that theyre providing customer service, not distracted by smart phone or gossip. I try to get what I need here first, and find, more often than not, the convenience is well worth not driving an extra 8 to 10 miles in daytime congestive traffic. Plus I dont have to buy 25 when I need only one or a handful. And a bag of popcorn is free!

Very helpful! Took us right to where we needed to go. The first light we bought didnt work. We returned it and bought another with no hassle. Very organized and clean! You can find things there that you cant find at the superstores like Walmart and Target.

Great hardware store for picking up those odds and ends, and you cant get better help from the staff. If one staff isnt sure how to help, they find someone who will. Im here often while doing house repairs and the staff are always willing to troubleshoot or suggest options. They give really great customer service. The place can get busy on the weekends, and their prices can be higher than the bigger stores but worth it for the location and the help.

Friendly staff, good selection without being excessively huge, and highly competitive prices. My 3 year old loved it and felt super special when an employee asked him if he wanted a bag of popcorn (after asking me if it was ok - which was also good). I try to stop here now for my hardware needs unless I know a big box has it and Ace doesnt. I also consider the business/ownership model Ace stores follow to be a plus. I highly recommend this location. While youre in the area try either of the restaurants nearby if you have the time!

Love Ace and especially this location. Great service from all associates. Most people say “there is not enough of everything compared to big retailers”Not necessarily. To my experience for example on many occasions I needed to have key made for office doors, I was told in HD and L’s they did not have key type so Now I go always to Ace. They even cut coded car keys for less then half what car dealers would charge you. Giving 5 ⭐️ without blinking eye.

I went to this store with my office laptop bag/backpack. I wanted to buy some camping equipment like hammer, grill rack.The moment I entered the store, the helper asked me what I wanted. So He took me to the aisle with hammers. And he waited till I made a selection. He quickly asked me what I wanted next. Then he took me to the grill rack aisle and waited there. I had not made my selection yet, he asked me again what I was looking for. So I started describing the grill rack.He immediately said that he is not able to understand my English. He was very condescending. I told him that I will look around by myself. All this while I was carrying my bag on my shoulders. After I told him to leave me alone, He told me that I will need to leave my bag at the front of the store. He could tell all that when I entered the store. Instead of treating me like a thief.I am very disappointed in this store. There were no price tags on hammocks. And after the way they treated me, I did not feel like asking for any help.

This store is great its just that the Ace company is not what it used to be. Products are often not of good quality.
