This is an excellent store that carries just about every album new that is currently in print on vinyl, in a variety of genres. They also have a respectable used selection, and it is located in a bar so you can drink and shop. My only criticism is their method of putting packing tape over every price sticker on the new vinyl. Sometimes this includes putting the tape on top of the promo sticker that came with the new album, and when you try to remove it, it either ruins the sticker or defaces it. On a recent purchase of a “music on vinyl” title (they come in resealable poly sleeves from the factory), there were three large pieces of tape used to keep people from opening it, and when I removed the tape, the sticky residue would not come off of the sleeve, even with lighter fluid, so I had to cut the sticker off and throw the sleeve away. I get the concept: tape the price tag on to keep people from switching prices and/or opening new albums. But this same objective could be achieved with one inexpensive “Do Not Open” sticker over the back flap, and the promo stickers could be preserved with just a little more care when pricing the new vinyl. I realize many people may not care about the issue I have brought up, but I hope the owner and employees will take notice for customers like myself that do.

This is our neighborhood bar and a fantastic place. Great beer and music selection with awesome service and ownership. Hoping it never changes.

Kinda seemed like a special club or something.. Record store ppl are just weird already, then you mix that with the snobby beer crowd.. Guess Im just the new guy or something. Vinyl tap is a pretty awesome place to come hang for a bit. The bartenders, managers, and other employees are all super nice and friendly people. They know their music and drinks as well. This is one of my favorite places to come grab a drink after work, chat it up with the cool people there, and browse a decent selection of vinyl. Go here and support these fine folks!

Vinyl Tap is one of my go-to spots on the East Side! They have a GREAT beer selection, awesome food and of course, stellar vinyl! They have also been handling the COVID regulations really well, requiring masks, socially distancing all the seating and keeping the number of customers down to keep everyone safe! Vinyl Tap is family-owned and operated and the owners are the absolute nicest most lovely people you will ever meet!

Vinyl Tap is a very unique entertainment/retail experience. It is much more than a bar and much more than a record store. The staff is very knowledgeable in great beer and great music! The atmosphere is warm and friendly to all from the novice to the pro. The outdoor dog-friendly patio lets you experience the great East Nashville neighborhood vibe.

Didnt get to try any of the brews so Im only rating 3-star. I did score a couple LPs I have been looking for at a fair price. The music selection was varied between multiple popular genres and some fringe projects as well and the prices seemed to be decent.

Vinyl and beer (plus dang good food) makes for a great combo. Im amazed something like this hasnt existed in Nashville for years and honestly, every city needs an option where you can literally browse records while sipping a pint. Cant find a weak spot....

Great selection of beers, where else can you (publicly) drink a beer and check out vinyl? Selection of punk and metal is better than anywhere else in Nashville that I’m aware of. Kind of pricey but these are new unopened vinyls and the selection is good.

Great sandwiches. Nice beer selection. Can feel understaffed during shows, but staff is cool. Found some great used (and new) vinyl. Ride your bike there cause its even more fun.

Food menu, was great. I enjoyed the Pretzel with Beer Cheese, along with the Rosemary Slaw. Delicious! Their, drink menu is fantastic with a great variety of fruit flavored beers.

Cool idea but lacking on the execution. Apparently it was some kind of open-mic style DJ night (???) where just anyone could spin whatever on the tables. That’s a bad idea. Leave it to the experts. Beer list seemed good, record selection seemed pretty mainstream.

This is a badass combo record store/bar. The beer list is on contention for the best beer list in Nashville. And Ive lived here for the last 4 years. Their record selection is also surprisingly comprehensive. As I was telling friends they are one of the best and most friendly bars in Nashville.

The pretzel is the best pretzel I have ever had in my life! They also have a large local beer selection. John was so nice & very informative! Very chill atmosphere. Definitely will come back next time we visit!

The bartender was nice and the drinks were good portions. Especially the tequila shots. From what I remember, the prices were decent.

Vinyl for days AND food AND drinks!!! This is one of my favorite places in all of East Nashville. They have a great craft beer selection and have a pretty full bar as well. Food is great and the staff is fantastic. One of my favorite ways to spend time is searching through their vinyl for treasures while enjoying a beverage and listening to whatever DJ or live band is playing. Hit them up for sure.

Such a cool spot. Beer and records are two of my favorite things, and Vinyl Tap combines them in such a fantastic way. After enjoying a couple beers, I browsed the records, found one I was looking for and made the purchase. After buying it I realized since I was out of town I was going to need to leave it in my hot car the next day for an extended period of time. Upon hearing my concerns for the record they offered to ship the album to my home free of charge so I didnt have to worry. Truly exceptional costumer service. If you are in Nashville, I highly recommend stopping in!

Good setup and good selection.

Great vibe, drinks, and music. Pretzels with beer cheese are so great! They serve them with mustard too but its all about the beer cheese, unless you are weird like my husband who dips the pretzel in both. Taking one star off because you sometimes have to wait for service, but overall a great spot. Plus you can get your vinyl shopping done while youre there.

One of my favorite spots to visit when Im in Nashville. Bartenders are always incredibly friendly, especially to out of towners. Awesome record collection and great vibes all around. Tap beers are fresh and delicious. Could not recommend more highly 5++++ stars.

This is a great place to experience new beer and both old and new music. Love the atmosphere and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable in both departments. Bonus!!! Happy hour all day Sunday. Light fare also available.

I visited this bar a while ago, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was perfect for someone wanting to check out vinyls AND a great selection of beer. Will definitely be recommending to everyone heading down to that area.

Amazing local gem

A great place to sip brews and browse vinyl (I cant believe I found this not my husband). They have local beers, some wines, and some nibbles ( the pretzel with beer cheese was tasty). A good place to meet people and catch up. Although there was a stage so I guess they have some live music as well. They have a collection of mainly new and some used vinyl.

Try the pretzels! We stayed at a wonderful air B&B next door to the bar and were impressed with the area! If you are visiting Nashville definitely stay at Katies eclectic B&B and visit vinyl tap :-)

Fantastic selection of both local and international craft beers. A pleasant atmosphere to hangout and listen to some quality tunes. There is a good selection of mostly new vinyl records to peruse when you enjoy a cold beverage.

My new Friday hang out. Its a grown up bar and I mean that in all the best ways. Cool funk DJ on the vinyl for Friday nights. Really nice people behind the bar.

Neat place in East Nashville. I love to grab a pint and flip through the records. Great selection of regional beers on tap and a great selection of vinyl. They just added sandwiches to curb the appetite.

Well curated selection of LPs combined with good selection of beers makes for a nice place to hang for a couple of hours. The atmosphere is comfortable will make for a great stopping point for commuters heading home in East Nashville. They plan to expand the bar to include liquor early in 2017 and to start using their small stage for live performances. Prices on the records are reasonable, with some good prices on their growing used vinyl collection. I cant wait to go back.

Just went tonight for the first time since their grand opening. The sound is amazing, great beer selection, the music is good, and the owner and staff were very friendly. Last minute dinner plans kept me from shopping, but I will be back soon to explore the vinyl.

The bar is pretty cool but its getting harder to find records here because they keep raising the prices. Im seeing new releases consistently $3 more expensive than The Groove or Grimeys. I find the used stuff often over priced for the quality as well.
